Evidently I went against the tide to state I like Rosie O’Donnell, I received so much hate mail from my last article, Go, Rosie, Go, that I was absolutely stunned. Who knew Americans were so sensitive? Well, now I know and guess what, I still like Rosie. Although I have been called a moron, idiot, stupid, anti-American and other names I can’t mention in print, I understood what Rosie was attempting to express, she is not the most eloquent speaker, but I have done the research and knew what she was trying to relay to the people. I naively assumed that the nation, heavily traumatized by the events of 9-11-01 would have taken the time to research the subject, but I was wrong. I have found that many like to be spoon-fed their opinions, we trust the media to tell us the truth, despite the knowledge that a handful of men are in control of what we are told.

I like to think outside of the box, to question and explore. I understand the fear involved in acknowledging things are not as they seem, in going against the tide of conformity, but I feel it is my duty to rise above that fear. So let start here, The New American Century, a think tank of neo-conservatives released a document called Rebuilding America’s Defenses and it states on page 63 “Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor.” This document was released in September of 2000. Coincidentally, we had a new Pearl Harbor a year later. New American Century

Are we forgetting that a B-25 bomber hit the Empire State Building in 1945? It caused fire, bent steel girders, but that building is still standing and has been declared structurally sound. Also FEMA has stated that most of the fuel from the planes that hit the twin towers was consumed in the initial fireball. And in transcripts released from the fire department, a fireman on the scene states, “We’ve got two isolated pockets of fire. We should be able to knock it down with two lines.” And many fire personnel interviewed on the day of the event claimed that it looked to them like a demolition and that explosions could be heard going off throughout the building, as is done in demolitions.

If we leave aside, for the time being, how steel buildings can, within minutes, disintegrate into dust from fire and look to the other issues, like the plane crashing into the Pentagon, You Tube, with little debris and leaving windows intact, feet away from the impact site. Or how the plane that crashed in a field in Pennsylvania could leave only pieces smaller than a phonebook behind You Tube, a first in aviation history, those riddles alone are enough to make a thinking person question. And it has been reported that the master mind of the 911 attacks, Osama bin Laden, was in an American hospital in Dubai recovering from kidney dialysis on September 10th, 2001 and likely there on September 11th, 2001. As he was already on the FBI’s most wanted list, why was he allowed to leave that hospital? link It was also reported that in July of 2001 Osama bin Laden underwent surgery at the same hospital and while there met with members of the CIA. link

It is amazing to me that the mere asking of questions can generate such hate and anger. It seems we are more willing to be appeased with stories that don’t really add up, than to actually want to know the truth, because the truth of what happened that day might radically change our perceptions. It is easier to believe that 19 hijackers abducted planes on a suicide mission, despite the reporting that many of these hijackers are still alive, than it is to consider any other alternative. There is an incredible amount of information available on the Internet concerning the inequities of the 911 investigation, but I guess one must want to seek the truth, one must be willing to empty their cup and accept that what they know may not be complete. I don’t claim to know who is responsible for this tragedy, but I do see that there are a lot of legitimate questions that are not receiving answers, only right-wing talking points. Many high-ranking government officials have expressed criticism over the 911 Commission Report and have asked questions about what occurred that fateful day. Patriots Question 911 And although it has been implied that all experts agree with the 911 Commission Report, that is also not the truth, many have lost their jobs for standing up against overwhelming pressure.

So, the simple truth remains, we will believe what we want to believe. For years I sat in sure knowledge that we were attacked, I never questioned what occurred that day, I trusted what I heard on the news was the truth, but then a video found it’s way into my e-mail box and I began to search in earnest for the truth. I remember as a kid being told that there are no stupid questions, but now it seems that to even ask the questions will get you labeled as a conspiracy nut, a kool-aid drinker and a mental patient. Yes, I know Rosie has a big mouth, a horribly distasteful quality for a woman to possess, but I still say, Go, Rosie, Go.
