ISRAELI AIRLINE HAS "NO FLIGHTS" DEPARTING NEW YORK ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 14
[GW's comment: After readers pointed out the errors of this post, the author asked that the post be deleted. However, I think its wise to leave this post up for 2 reasons:
(1) If someone else makes the same claim, they can be directed to the debunking replies (so we don't have to reinvent the wheel); and
(2) It shows how free speech and research actually works: someone posts a hypothesis, and that hypothesis either stands up or is rebutted by facts and testing.]

Ahh cuz they don't fly on
Ahh cuz they don't fly on the Shabbat.

El Al caters to the needs of religious Jewish passengers flying to and from Israel by serving only kosher food (under rabbinical supervision; glatt kosher food is also available on request). On long-haul flights, passenger-led prayer services are held at the back of the plane. El Al does not fly on Shabbat, despite the financial losses that this entails. An estimated 20-30% of the passengers are ultra-Orthodox. This sector tends to fly during specific seasons of the year (before and after Jewish holidays), and has certain preferred destinations, such as New York and Toronto. Operating on Shabbat could result in a Haredi boycott that would pose a major financial blow and cripple the airline. [32] After an airport strike in November 2006, El Al allowed some planes to take off on Shabbat to reduce the backlog. The Haredi community responded with an immediate boycott.[33] On 5 January 2007, El Al signed an agreement with this community that it would not fly on Shabbat.[34]
El Al: We are not surrendering to ultra-Orthodox pressure

In an interviewed with Haaretz on Saturday, an El Al excecutive said the company is not 'surrendering to the Haredim' and will maintain its current policy barring flights on Shabbat and holidays except in emergency situations.
The statement came a day after El Al CEO Haim Romano and attorney Yaakov Weinrot, representing the ultra-Orthodox rabbinical committee for Shabbat, signed a deal to end a dispute over Shabbat flights.
The agreement signals an end to an unofficial boycott of El Al, which has led to losses of about NIS 1 million a day, according to an official at Israel's national carrier.
The agreement stipulates that El Al will appoint a rabbi to rule on instances of a perceived need for flights on Shabbat. El Al has also committed to adhere to its general policy of not flying on Shabbat.
The rabbi, Sephardi Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, is described in the agreement as an "adviser," and El Al noted that he will not have veto power. However, if the airline does not heed his ruling, it will be considered in violation of the agreement itself.
According to the agreement, if El Al decides there is a need for flights on Shabbat - as happened nearly a month ago, in the incident that spurred the dispute - the issue will be referred to Amar. He will approve a flight only if he determines that doing so would be a life-saving measure, thereby overriding Shabbat.
El Al rejected the ultra-Orthodox demand that the airline pay the cancellation fee of Shabbat-observant passengers if El Al decided to fly despite Amar's ruling to the contrary. The parties agreed that in such a case, the cancellation fee would go to the Health Ministry's budget for its health basket of medications and medical treatments.
Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger praised the deal and said, "I am very pleased with the company's understanding of the ultra-Orthodox public's sensitivity [to the issue] and that they agreed to keep the Shabbat."
Metzger called for all businesses that do not keep Shabbat to follow El-Al's lead.
A source at El Al stated on Saturday, 'both sides bit off more than they could chew, but have now come to an agreement that is comfortable for both sides. The religious will not initiate a boycott on El Al."
In light of the role of Rabbi Amar, the source at El Al added 'the rabbi will serve only as an advisor, not a decision-maker. He won't be part of El Al management."

Shabbat (Hebrew: שבת, shabbāt, "rest/inactivity"; the Sabbath, often Shabbos using Ashkenazi pronunciation), is the weekly day of rest in Judaism, symbolizing the Seventh Day in the Book of Genesis, after six days of creation. It is observed from sundown on Friday until the appearance of three stars in the sky on Saturday night. Shabbat is ushered in by lighting candles. Candlelighting time changes from week to week and from place to place, depending on when the sun sets.

Really irresponsible stuff on that blog
Quote:
"A lot of people said that 4,000 jews didn't show up to work at the World Trade Center in New York on 9-11. Jews seemed to "know" some big attack was going to take place that day and they didn't go to work. By the way, on 9-11, the U.S. Air Force was ordered to "stand down" while those attacks were taking place!
Here we are six years later, the neo-cons are taking all sorts of flak over the Iraq war; the US economy is headed into financial collapse, the jews still want the US to attack Iran but they can't overcome public opinion so. . . . . . another "terrorist attack" on the US would do the trick!
Strange then, that El Al has no flights from NYC on Friday Sept. 14. . . . . Is this a HINT? Do the jews know something about Sept 14 the way they seemed to know about 9-11?? "
I'd say please DON'T circulate.
This means nothing whatsoever
because El Al airlines only has about 2 flights a week between Israel & New York and rarely if ever on Friday.

kind of a reach dont you
kind of a reach dont you think?

Hmm
I just fear that something *will* happen on Friday and the speculation discussed here will later be used by the media as another easy-to-debunk "conspiracy theory".
Why do I fear something may happen?
- the huge "9/11-type" put options expiring soon (was it on the 18th?), discussed elsewhere
- the reported grounding of all U.S. fighter planes on Friday for the inspections caused by the "nuke carrying scandal"
These both look quite frightening to me when considered in connection with the warnings of a new false flag attack and with the reports of increasing preparedness to attack Iran. I hope I'm wrong, but I hope you are prepared. Well, I don't think I need to tell you this.
interesting theory and not a
interesting theory and not a bad one at all. shades of the "jews in the towers were warned" crap. and just to underscore your other point take a look at this news item from Fox News from yesterday:
U.S. Officials Begin Crafting Iran Bombing Plan
WASHINGTON — A recent decision by German officials to withhold support for any new sanctions against Iran has pushed a broad spectrum of officials in Washington to develop potential scenarios for a military attack on the Islamic regime, FOX News confirmed Tuesday.
Political and military officers, as well as weapons of mass destruction specialists at the State Department, are now advising Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the diplomatic approach favored by Burns has failed and the administration must actively prepare for military intervention of some kind. Among those advising Rice along these lines are John Rood, the assistant secretary for the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation; and a number of Mideast experts, including Ambassador James Jeffrey, deputy White House national security adviser under Stephen Hadley and formerly the principal deputy assistant secretary for Near Eastern affairs.
Consequently, according to a well-placed Bush administration source, "everyone in town" is now participating in a broad discussion about the costs and benefits of military action against Iran, with the likely timeframe for any such course of action being over the next eight to 10 months, after the presidential primaries have probably been decided, but well before the November 2008 elections.

You need to get a grip on Reality
Regarding the "strange notice": Ever hear about someone going on vacation? (or a family emergency; or....)
And as for no flights from NYC via El Al on 9/14, that's simply a bunch of bull shit that some anti-semitic idiot posted on the net that you are diarrheally splashing around the net in a worse than urban legend fashion. (it was probably just a website programming bug (their site seems buggy to me) — and/or the original "reporter" was worse than an Idiot (probably true regardless) — plus he "forgot" to mention that they also don't report departure dates for 9/13, 9/16, 9/17, .... — what a joke — you should do some research before you post this crap)
This blog post should be deleted.

Hi Diana
Hi Diana
Welcome to 911Blogger :D
If you edit your blog it will automatically remove it from publication and place it in the moderation queue. At that time a simple note to remove from the queue and not post the blog should make sure it doesn't return online.
There is a lot of information floating out there, some of which doesn't pass the smell test, so never take any information you find about 911 as fact, do a bit of digging to see what has substance and what doesn't.
After a while you will soon realize which information seems credible. If they don't source their information its a good sign that the information may not be legitimate.
And Thank you for sharing the info anyway - two ways to look at it - it exposed the information to a greater public and has shown it not to be credible (at least in regards to the El Al flights) - so this helps keep bad information from perpetuating inside the echo chamber. Don't pay any attention to those who are yelling insults and such, we have some people who are just plain abrasive to everyone.

Thanks for the apology
That's rare around here, so kudos to you.
It's not a big deal in the sense that we all make mistakes. Obviously someone at the veteran's site made the mistake before you, and you just passed it along.
I usually take the stance of skepticism when it comes to stuff like the content of your blog post. Too many people don't do that. (not in a good, positive, constructive way, anyway)
I may have come on a little strong, but I'm getting really tired of the widespread NWO Psychoses that has gripped way too many people. (part of which is a decided anti-semitic slant, often camouflaged as supposed anti-Zionism)
If there's anything that is "hurting the movement", it's that crap.
