Obama "goes after" Osama

Barack Obama has embraced the "Global War on Terrorism" (GWOT).
The Obama-Biden campaign has endorsed the very foundations of the Bush administration's foreign policy agenda: "Go after Osama bin Laden, "take him out".
The rhetoric is softer but the substance is almost identical:
"For while Senator McCain was turning his sights to Iraq just days after 9/11, I stood up and opposed this war, knowing that it would distract us from the real threats we face. When John McCain said we could just “muddle through” in Afghanistan, I argued for more resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11, and made clear that we must take out Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants if we have them in our sights. John McCain likes to say that he’ll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell – but he won’t even go to the cave where he lives. [APPLAUSE]
And today, as my call for a time frame to remove our troops from Iraq has been echoed by the Iraqi government and even the Bush Administration, even after we learned that Iraq has a $79 billion surplus while we’re wallowing in deficits, John McCain stands alone in his stubborn refusal to end a misguided war.
That’s not the judgment we need. That won’t keep America safe. We need a President who can face the threats of the future, not keep grasping at the ideas of the past." (The American Promise, August 28, 2008, Democratic Convention. Denver, emphasis added)
The 9/11 Cover-up
The Democrats have endorsed the "Big Lie". Bin Laden is upheld as the "outside enemy" who threatens the American Homeland. The fact that bin Laden is US sponsored intelligence asset, created and sustained by the CIA, is never mentioned.
The Obama campaign galvanizes public support for the "Global War on Terrorism" (GWOT). In the words of Obama's running mate, Joe Biden:
"The fact of the matter is, al-Qaida and the Taliban - the people who have actually attacked us on 9/11 [note: exactly the same wording as in the Obama speech] -- they've regrouped in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan and are plotting new attacks. And the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has echoed Barack's call for more troops and John McCain was wrong and Barack Obama was right." (Joe Biden, Democratic Convention, Denver, August 27, 2008, emphasis added)
In contrast to Iraq, the war on Afghanistan is portrayed by the Obama-Biden campaign as a "Just War", a war of retribution initiated in October 2001 in response to the 9/11 attacks.
This concept of the "Just War" in relation to Afghanistan has been echoed by several prominent Liberal and "Progressive" intellectuals: The war on Iraq, on the other hand, is seen as an "illegal war". In October 2001, the attack on Afghanistan was supported by numerous civil society organizations on humanitarian grounds.
It is by no means coincidental that the prominent "Leftist" scholars and intellectuals, who failed to address the use of the 9/11 attacks as a pretext to wage war, have expressed their support for Barack Obama. The Nation Magazine and Progressive Democrats for America are indelibly behind the Obama-Biden ticket.
The Obama-Biden campaign has endorsed the 9/11 cover-up. Without a shred of evidence, Afghanistan, a nation of 34 million people (the size of Canada) is portrayed as the State sponsor of the 9/11 attacks. This basic premise is accepted by the Democrats.
Obama indelibly upholds 9/11 as an act of war and aggression directed against America, thereby justifying a war of retribution directed against "Islamic terrorists" and their state sponsors.
The "Global War on Terrorism" (GWOT) is the product of a carefully designed military-intelligence agenda, which determines the thrust of US foreign policy.
GWOT is endorsed by both Republicans and Democrats. US intelligence overrides party politics. GWOT is part of the presidential campaign platform of both political parties. Its validity is not questioned, nor are its consequences. The fact that it is predicated on a "Big Lie" is not an issue.
Spiraling Defense Spending
Both Barack Obama and John McCain have signaled that they will increase overall defense spending, while also revamping the system of Pentagon procurement with a view to reducing cost overruns. (See Bloomberg, June 30, 2008 See also Reuters, August 29, 2008).
For FY 2009, the US Defense Department is asking for a $515 billion defense budget plus a separate $70 billion "to cover war costs into the early months of a new administration... Those amounts combined would represent the highest level of military spending since the end of World War II (adjusted for inflation)." (csmonitor.com Febraury 06, 2008)
Obama's message is crystal clear. He endorses the Bush administration's proposed surge in military spending. He wants to spend more money on weapons and troops. Going after bin Laden and the "Global War on Terrorism" constitute his main justification for increased defense spending:
"[M]ore resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11..."
But at the same time, Obama promises more resources for education and health.
"Now is the time to finally meet our moral obligation to provide every child a world-class education, ... I’ll invest in early childhood education. I’ll recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support. ...
Now is the time to finally keep the promise of affordable, accessible health care for every single American.... (The American Promise, August 28, 2008, Democratic Convention. Denver, emphasis added)

Yes--but it's really the same old story
I was glad to see this article, but let's be clear that this 'endorsement' of the 'war on terror' is nothing new on the part of the Democrats. It's the same script that Kerry and many of his supporters used in '04--indeed, ever since support for the Iraq occupation began to wane: 'The administration is diverting our forces from the real conflict, the war against al Qaeda.' Yadda, yadda, yadda--different nominee, same rhetoric.
And to think their are still antiwar activists and intellectuals who consider 9/11 truth to be a 'distraction' from more pressing issues!!

Century of 9/11 Truth...
Unlike most Truthers who see the 9/11 Truth movement in the shortened spurts of a "day of Truth", a Thursday of Truth, a "week of Truth", a "month of Truth", a summer of Truth", and in some ways, the mantra of immediacy, "Re-inestigate 9/11 NOW' and 9/11 TRUTH NOW, [and are all wondeful efforts], I perceive the events of 9/11/2001 very, very differently and far more long term.
I see the events on 9/11/2001 as being the finest "looking glass" into governemental, corporate, political and, above all else, military malfeasances and power abuses that this world has ever had access to. What an amazing X-RAY machine into the skeletons of power.
The 9/11 Truth Movement and its brilliant skill sets and wonderful highly educated and highly experienced citizens of the world, hold a set of keys to a long standing "lock of information containment" of the abuses of power, position and collective finances, and I'm not sure that this is noticed by enough Truthers.
Its POWER...or...PEOPLE...
...and the 9/11 Truth Movement's "field of vision" is set perfectly for these exposures...
For the time being power is winning rather decisively...often with the assistance of our own hand...
However, as any Truther knows, once into the Rabbit Hole of Truth, always in the Rabbit Hole of Truth...
Truthers also know that when talking with citizens all over the world, once the appropriate levels of skepticism are reached by people, they then they can more easily tap into their own concerns and into their own issues that are more dear to their hearts and souls. This happens because WE can speak about the unspeakable....that 9/11 was an inside job. So, right on the spot all agree that the government is lying about almost everything they deal with.
This is now a WONDERFUL PLACE TO BE... IE: being dutifully skeptical about any and all of the the powers above us. The problem is, what to do about it, and how to do it. Surely its more than just getting another "investigation" as soon as possible.
In being a long time activist and in being part of trying to develop some "angles and hooks" to draw attention to elements of the misbehaving power noted above so that there can be another "movement" , or public force, organized to bring these abuse problems out in the open to be dealt with, the problem that I have with those in the 9/11 Truth Movement is their lack of far sightedness with the subject at hand.
With the deepest respect and sadness to the victims and their fmilies who died on Manhattan, WDC and Shanksville on 9/11, to the living first responders who have had their useful lives shortened , to the soldiers uneccessarily killed in these two wars, and to the hundreds of thousands of peoples who are native to Mesopotamia, the CRADLE OF CIVILIZATION, who have been illegally invaded and murdered by the "infant terrible" country...the USofA, the 9/11 Truthers have yet to see 9/11/2001 from a vantage point far enough away to grasp that they have in their hands an amazing new tool kit for social-political-fiancial-militarization changes to the world.
Ironically, most citizens outside the USofA may have a far better grasp of this overriding "vision" than we do. Perhaps its because THEY have had wars conducted upon their native soils time and time again, and consequently, they have had time to do critical study, ongoing analysis, and to apply appropriate thinking about they "whys" and "wherefores" of such events and abuses of power over people.
The only "war" that the new white "owners" of the USofA have had on this continent is their forebearers', the western European "anglos", killing off the indigenous peoples of Central and North America as their first goal of their ongoing imperialism on the new continent. And since these truths are deliberately being mis-taught in the educational culture in the good ole USofA, most perspectives of war, peace and justice have always started off on the wrong foot...
...and thusly, this off ballanced pace has kept up its murderous limp for centuries...and continues today...
Yet now comes the 9/11 Truth Movement, a small gang of people who are so concerned with, and dubious of, the horrendous events on 9/11, and who are the FIRST movement to begin using the new century's tools of the internet and modern information access capacities to dig into these lies...and guess what they find...and guess what they can now "show" thto the average citizen....
...malfeasnces and abuses power dating back centuries...
This is REALLY BIG...yet Truthers keep wanting it all to end at some near future time period. Well, I don't!
So, since the two parties that we have in the good ole USofA are: the republicans ,and the republicans dressed up in blue drag, I have no trouble with these FAKE DEMOCRATS keeping the fable of chasing Bin Laden alive and well because it keeps the 9/11 Truth Movement up and running.
Up and running unless of course, folks who keep putting short time limits on our work, or the amazing activities of cointelpro ops continues unexposed, or, the poor judgement of anyone in the 9/11 Truth Movement whose destructive modus operandi is to CONFRONT, CONFRONT, CONFRONT, or all of the above, continue to have their way.
If the Alex Joneses, Webster Tarpleys, the growing We Are Change organizations who keep on forgetting about "being the change they want to be", come to rule the day regarding "beavior in public", then the 9/11 Truth Movement will have destroyed itself from within...which is an amzingly important point that the above noted groups and too many Truthers simply fail to see.
In utilizing this behavior, these types are executing themselves...[except Tarpley because he writes to people's fears about anything...and his books will always sell].
This is the EXACT SAME PROFILE that the peace movements have taken...self destruction because they have not stepped back far enough to see the forest, OR, to see that they have been cointelproed, OR, to see that their real purpose might best be to EDUCATE and INFORM citizens about what is behind the drive to war and the avoidance of peace.
The peace movements only complained about war when it was happeneing while all the other "movements" from the 60s and 70s kept on informing the pubic about their issues every year of every decade since the end of last century. Just look at the results...they are very different.
So Truthers, how about this for a timeline:
2001-2099...a "CENTURY of 9/11 TRUTH"...
Half way there the fabled words "Remember 9/11" will be flipped completely upside down. And this century long reminder will be one to educate all peoples to ALWAYS be appropriately wary of their governements, to continuously OVERSEE their governemnts in all ways possible, and to have a story to tell the kids about how a corrupted government and its corporate bosses turned against its own citizens to create another financial "fix" required in the veins of a country as it feeds its ugly habit of conducting wars...
9/11 Truth forever...isn't even long enough for me...
Practice CI...Civil Informationing on an ongoing basis, and power the revolution of the mind and lead the revolution for political-social change...

Speaking the truth is living the dream.
The 9/11 Truth Movement, like the Founding Fathers of the USA, has a zeal for liberty and a drive to speak the truth. The truth of 9/11 truth is so compelling that whether a Truther speaks loudly, softly, gently, forcefully, high-pitched, low-pitched, girly, manly, falsetto, or in a booming bass that the more and more people will wake up. The long and short views are one and the same. Speaking the truth is living the dream.

Better and worse ways to speak the truth...
Effective movements adapt their communications styles to match the desired demographic to educate.
Self serving people use movements to draw followers into their world and really do not care about the particular movement at that time...only that it stirs the pot in their favor...
Cointelpros are clever enough to manuever many naive folks inside movements into performing self-destructive or off target behaviors that offend and drive away the very people that might hopefully be informed about what is going on. Check the history of the peace movement.
Dreaming conceptually is a far cry from being effective at making daily changes in the real world...
Movements grow, and the 9/11 Truth Movement is well overdue for a "great leap forward..." [Billy Bragg..]
Disinfo and cointelpro are clearly being repeated against the 9/11 Truth Movement, especially as each September 11th approaches...and its because we just won't [can't] go away.
So, its time for Truthers to anticipate and come to recognize this activity, and to modify their behaviors so that cointelpro cannot have an effect at ANY time in the calendar regarding any subject that is getting attention.
The idea that "anything goes" to spread the word is exactly the opening that cointelpro needs to survive and to succeed at destrying the particular movement.
Its really that simple, and I suggest that the 9/11 Truth Movement deal with it and that you reconsider your understandings of how things work.
Its only the bad BEHAVIOR in public baby...because we got the facts, we caught them lying and we got the goods...
...so why be assholes in public?

I agree that disrespect is bad; however, I have not seen too much of that. Shouting forcefully a slogan such as "9/11 was an inside job!" is what we are really discussing here, I think. I wish I knew more about the dynamics of social transformation to say whether this works or does not. Is there some research that has investigated this question, or are we all feeling our way. Certainly, the potential of 9/11 to "tip" into general conciousness is high, so we are all on the edge of our seats.

Most of what I speak of is fairly well established as being a more effective way at convincing the uninformed about some difficult information to accept.
Ken Jenkins has done seminal work in this area and has cut a few GREAT videos [Chandler, AZ] about this as he is also a professional in the pychological industry.
