Bin Laden ‘Shooter’ Under Investigation for Leaking Secrets

by Shane Harris

The man who claims he killed the world’s most wanted terrorist is now being probed for saying too much about the mission.

The former Navy SEAL who ignited a controversy when he publicly claimed credit for killing Osama bin Laden is under investigation for possibly leaking official secrets, The Daily Beast has learned.

When reached for comment, Ed Buice, an NCIS public affairs officer, confirmed “The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is in receipt of an allegation that Mr. O’Neill may have revealed classified information to persons not authorized to receive such information. In response, NCIS has initiated an investigation to determine the merit of the allegations.”

The news that O’Neill is being investigated for potential criminal acts hasn’t been previously reported.

A legend-propping story...

There is no evidence that Bin Laden was killed in that raid.

No Body. No independently verified DNA. No indisputable photographic evidence. No third party confirmation.

All the world got was a couple of Pentagon press releases, megaphoned by uncritical media.

Why on earth would the USA ( after pouring money and treasure into finding this Uber-Enemy) not want to interrogate the man?

Why execute the 911 Mastermind without extracting any information from him?

The man would have been a stupendous mine of information on how 911 was planned, co-ordinated, timed and executed.

The US army uses remote-control drone assassination, so why didn't they use that method on OBL (rather than this large, unwieldy team of SEALS and helicopters), as they clearly had *no* intention of quizzing the man?

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh contends the 2011 U.S. Navy Seals raid that resulted in the killing of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden is “one big lie.”

“Not one word of it is true," Hersh told The Guardian newspaper in an interview meant to drum up publicity for his new book about national security.

"Nothing's been done about that story, it's one big lie,” the 76-year-old Hersh told The Guardian.
