Rush Limbaugh: Did Iran Pay for Zogby 9/11 Poll?

Did Iran Pay for Zogby's 9/11 Poll?

September 12, 2007

RUSH: Have you heard about a poll -- I didn't talk about this poll, but there's a Zogby poll: "Forty-two percent of Americans believe that President Bush either caused 9/11 or let it happen," did you see that poll? When I saw it, I didn't want to report it. It's bogus. I think in that number, 35% are Democrats, and that just tells us how kooky they've gotten. Well, it turns out there's a blog out there called Sweetness and Light, and they have dug up some information suggesting that Iran may have paid for that poll. The poll was commissioned by Press TV, which is owned and operated by the Iranian government. "Press TV Zogby International poll results survey methodology 9-6-07 through 9-9-07, Zogby International was commissioned by Press TV to conduct a telephone survey of adults."

CBS Anchor Said WTC 7 Collapse Resembled Demolition
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....

Newly uncovered archive footage shows a CBS news anchor reporting the collapse of WTC as resembling something "accomplished by demolitions experts," another stark reminder that the Building 7 issue is still evergreen at the forefront of the 9/11 truth movement as the 6-year anniversary of September 11 moves closer.

This clip is taken from WUSA 9, which is a CBS affiliate based in Washington DC.

"We don't even know whether this was something that was engineered for safety reasons or it just happened as a consequence of the two collisions this morning," states the anchor as replays of the collapse of WTC 7 are broadcast at around 5:30pm.

About 20 minutes later, the presenter makes another interesting comment.

Persistence of Myths Could Alter Public Policy Approach

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently issued a flier to combat myths about the flu vaccine. It recited various commonly held views and labeled them either "true" or "false." Among those identified as false were statements such as "The side effects are worse than the flu" and "Only older people need flu vaccine."

When University of Michigan social psychologist Norbert Schwarz had volunteers read the CDC flier, however, he found that within 30 minutes, older people misremembered 28 percent of the false statements as true. Three days later, they remembered 40 percent of the myths as factual.

Younger people did better at first, but three days later they made as many errors as older people did after 30 minutes. Most troubling was that people of all ages now felt that the source of their false beliefs was the respected CDC.

Beauty is Truth

Six years after 9/11, more than a third of Americans believe the attacks were an inside job. Are 9/11 Truth groups a convenient harbor for conspiracy theorists, crackpots, and lizard-man chasing coincidence-hunters, or are they actually onto something?

The eight of them huddled around a table at a coffee shop could easily be confused for a comic-book fan society, or a Dungeons & Dragons kaffeeklatsch. They're mostly white men in their 20s and 30s, many with creative facial hair. They're dressed casually. The majority of them are computer programmers. Nearly half of them work at Microsoft, although they coyly refer to it as a "major computer-software firm based out of Redmond," presumably for fear of workplace repercussions.

"I'd like to call this meeting to a quorum," a guy named Robin says, presumably hamming it up because a member of the media is present, "and I'd also like to point out that we're all mostly white guys and that that's how this whole thing started."

Osama a myth, couldn't be behind 9/11: bin Laden guru

By Manish Chand

Khartoum, Sep 4 (IANS) "Osama bin Laden could not have plotted the WTC attacks. Neither did Al Qaeda. It's all a myth created by the West," says Sheikh Hassan Abdallah al-Turbai, the charismatic Sudanese Islamist ideologue who hosted and mentored bin Laden in Khartoum in the early 1990s.

"He came here not to fight. He was building roads and airports and bridges in Sudan. He was a simple man. He could not have done it," Turabi said emphatically to a visiting IANS correspondent when asked whether he thought bin Laden was the key architect of the 9/11 bombings of the World Trade Centre (WTC) in New York that shook the world nearly six years ago. "Anyone who comes here is welcome. Yes, he was angry with the Americans and the British. But he is not the man behind Al Qaeda. Bin Laden comes from southern Saudi Arabia. He hasn't travelled a lot. He is alone," said Turabi, whose niece is married to bin Laden.

FDNY firefighters and victims' families outraged over Guiliani's upcoming role in 9/11/07 Ground Zero ceremonies

Rudy's role in 9/11 ceremony sparks ire

Almost six years after Rudy Giuliani became America's mayor as he guided the city through the worst terror attack in U.S. history, many of those who stood by him then are now attacking his traditional role at the annual memorial ceremony at Ground Zero.

Criticism is coming his way because he's running for president and has been accused of exploiting 9/11 to lift his national profile.

"I think it's a horrible decision and I'm outraged," said Jim Riches of Brooklyn, whose son died in the attack on the World Trade Center and who is also a deputy chief with the fire department. "Seventy percent of us are now sick because he lied about the air quality down at Ground Zero, and he was too busy raising money and going to the World Series to pay attention to what was happening down there. He should just go to a Yankees baseball game instead."

Official version of 9/11 challenged
Sunday, August 26, 2007

Is there something more to 9/11 than the official version?

Did the Bush administration have anything to do with the attacks on the World Trade Center?

That‘s one of the theories Canadian author and left wing peace and environmental activist Barrie Zwicker will discuss during a lecture at Lakehead University on Sept. 7.

Zwicker is mostly known for his documentary work which has dealt primarily with 9/11 conspiracy theories that are based on evidence.
“According to the inside job theory, it was a military operation called the False Flag Operation where the attacks were self-inflicted by the Bush regime and blamed on a external enemy,” Zwicker said from Toronto.

The move would give President George Bush a reason to send American soldiers to Afghanistan.

Chinese officials predicted 9/11 in book published in 1999

Chinese officials predicted 9/11 in book published in 1999

NEW DELHI: Imagine someone predicting the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center in the US two years before the terror strike!

Such a forecast was part of an analysis of the weaknesses of the American military system by two Chinese military planners, who also identified Osama bin Laden as one of the likely perpetrators of a possible attack.

The officials, Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui, who were in service at that time, made the forecast in the book "Unrestricted Warfare" written in 1999, which has now beenpublished in India, several years after being translated into English for the CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency and other US national security departments.

The officials, who were then senior colonels, said, "Actually, with the next century having still not yet arrived, the American military has already encountered trouble from insufficient frequency bandwidth brought on by the above-mentioned types of enemies.

Continuing Effects of 9/11
High brain activity in people affected by the tragedy could lead to later health problems

From the August 2007 issue of Scientific American Mind

Six years after the events of September 11, researchers are beginning to understand the attacks’ enduring toll on mental health. Recent studies at New York–Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College and New York University have shown long-term psychological and neurological repercussions in adult witnesses who were near the World Trade Center and in children who lost a parent in the tragedy.

Giuliani, Big on Terror, Not on Evidence

Rudy Giuliani attended a fund raiser in Brooklyn at a jewish community center. His speech was mainly focused on, you guessed it, the war on terror. He made fun of Michael Moore's new movie "Sicko" and denounced it with Pro-American HealthCare sentiments. However he failed to mention what he would do for the 1st Responders who are dieing by the thousands.

'Behavior Detection Officers' now watching “micro-expressions” of terrorist intent in US airports

Smile … Or Else
‘Behavior Detection Officers’ are now watching passengers’ facial expressions for signs of danger. It’s a new level of absurdity for America.

By Patti Davis

Aug. 16, 2007 - It was bound to happen. Now even a frown or grimace can get you into trouble with The Man.

“Specially trained security personnel” will be watching passengers for “micro-expressions” that will reveal treacherous agendas and insidious intentions at airports around the country. These agents, who may literally hold your fate in their hands have been given a lofty, Orwellian name: "Behavior Detection Officers."

Did anyone ever doubt that George Orwell’s prophecies in “1984” would arrive? In that novel, he wrote, “You had to live—did live, from habit that became instinct—in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized.”

Conspiracy theorists yelling in the echo chamber
August 17, 2007

The problem with deriding conspiracy theories is that it really does leave a columnist feeling like he's just playing his part in the International Bankers' plan for one-world government.

Yet the topic asserts itself this week, despite a years-long attempt to ignore it. A two-hour movie, slickly produced and wrapped in an air of appealing mystery, has been making the rounds, propelled by recommendations from bloggers whose eyes were opened and lives changed. The reputable A-list websites are starting to acknowledge it. People in the offline world have asked me about it.

The thing is called Zeitgeist and can be found via Google. It's an online video set against a black backdrop, with no clue as to its creators' identities. It assembles archival footage, animations and breathless narration into a kind of primer on conspiracies.

From the grave: "I am the victim of the lies of my government"

The Tribeca Trib

'I believe my cancer is related to exposure to WTC dust and smoke.'

By Etta Sanders

(The following opinion piece was written by Etta Sanders shortly before her death and was provided to the Trib by her husband, Andrew Weinstein.)

I believe I am the victim of the lies of my government. I live a short distance from the World Trade Center site. Ten days after the Sept. 11 attacks, my husband, our twin boys who had turned 3-years-old on Sept. 8, and I moved back into our home.

For months, like so many of our neighbors, we worried about the air, kept our windows closed, ran air filters day and night, took the children out of the neighborhood to play outdoors and tried to believe what we were told—that the air was safe.

Two years ago I was diagnosed with stage IV, metastatic lung cancer. Inoperable. Incurable. Since then I have responded well to a series of treatments, chemotherapy and recently approved pills. I have been able to maintain a normal life—working, traveling, caring for my family. My condition has now worsened and the possible treatment options are running out.

I strongly believe my cancer is related to exposure to World Trade Center dust and smoke. If the government had said we’re not sure about the safety of the air and it would be prudent for residents to stay away, I don’t think I would have this cancer.

In the nearly six years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the city's conflict and grief over the health problems faced by those who cleaned up ground zero have often centered on the police officers who stood guard at the site and toiled on the pile.

There was Detective James Zadroga, whose family succeeded in its fight to convince city officials that his death was linked to the toxic dust that swirled above the rubble, and Officer Christopher Hynes, whom the police department denied line-of-duty disability benefits for a lung disease he says he contracted from the dust.
