More More More on Able Danger
Today on my way back to town I took the time to listen to Sean Hannity (yes, that Sean Hannity). What caught my attention was that he was talking about the 9/11 coverup! I was unfortunately dismayed to hear that his only arguement of a 9/11 coverup was the recently popular 'Able Danger' articles. Hannity told his listeners that this was proof positive of Clinton knowing about the 9/11 Hijackers prior to 9/11 and doing nothing to stop it. Now I'm not here to get caught up in the left/right paradigm of politics, and I'm definately not here to defend Clinton, but the irony of his statements were worth mentioning. While I can't find a transcript of his show, here is a brief paraphrase of what he was spewing from his mouth, hopefully you can see the irony.

I thought this song would be a very appropriate follow-up to my post last night. Check it out.
New Iraqi War Documents - How Do They Relate To 9/11
Today new documents related to the planning of the war in Iraq were released. These new documents show quite succinctly that the initial planning for the war in Iraq began within 3 to 7 weeks after 9/11. These new revelations further go to show that statements made by Richard Clarke (and others) that Iraq, not Al-Queda, was the word on Bush and Rumsfeld's lips on 9/11 were almost definately true.
How do these new revelations relate to 9/11?
San Diego City Beat Interviews Paul Thompson
Last month, he testified at a congressional briefing on the 9/11 Commission’s final report, the supposedly definitive account of the events leading up to the attacks. The latter assembly, formally called the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, said it sought political neutrality in its compilation of the document—but Thompson contends that the report is a wholly bipartisan effort, greatly sanitized amid the 10 commissioners’ political affiliations.
Nafeez Ahmed Comments on 'Able Danger' and the 9/11 Commission Whitewash
Whitewashing the Protection of Terrorists on US Soil - Rawstory.com
But all this is academic. Mohamed Atta was never a green-card holder. Worse still, he never had a valid entry visa. On the contrary, in January 2001, Atta was permitted reentry into the United States after a trip to Germany, despite being in violation of his visa status. He had landed in Miami on January 10 on a flight from Madrid on a tourist visa - yet he had told immigration inspectors that he was taking flying lessons in the US, for which an M-1 student visa is strictly required.
September 11th Advocates Respond to Colonel Shaffer's Comments on Able Danger
Statement of September 11th Advocates -- Regarding Lt. Colonel Shaffer
For Immediate Release -- August 17, 2005
We would like to thank Lt. Colonel Anthony Shaffer for coming forward with invaluable information that could ultimately be used to help make our nation safer.
The mandate of the 9/11 Commission was to unearth these facts so as to provide the necessary fixes that would prevent, thwart or mitigate the results of another attack. We strongly disagree with Thomas Kean's and Lee Hamilton's latest conclusion that Able Danger "did not turn out to be historically significant, set against the larger context of U.S. policy and intelligence efforts that involved (Osama) bin Laden and al Qaeda." Clearly, knowledge of the hijackers whereabouts, one year prior to 9/11, would be of extreme relevance to the 9/11 story and would have bearings on recommendations put forth by the 9/11 Commission. It is, therefore, becoming increasingly apparent that the Commission failed in their obligation to the American Public and to those who lost their lives on 9/11.
