Why couldn't Bowman have been this forceful in his arguments on Hannity & Colmes a couple of weeks back? His audience was a lot larger there than it is on CSPAN.

It started for me once I finished reading, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" by Jack Herer... That history was SO easy to align with what was going on regarding the "War On Terror". It clicked almost instantly, and I was off to the races regarding my research. That book, and the Jersey Girls are what did it for me.

Alex Jones is a good blustery Southerner to front the movement, though he speaks a bit too fast and is a bit rough around the edges. Slow down, Alex. Dr. Jones' research is invaluable, but his nervous habit of giggling and smirking through his information is extremely distracting-I don't think ironic laughter when presenting such serious issues is proper. And Webster Tarpley is succint and strong in his argumentation- he is the man.

My first child was born within two weeks of 9/11. My immediate concern was what kind of world am I bringing a child into?

In fact, on 9/11/01, my wife had false labor pains. I stayed home from work with her that day. I watched the whole thing unfold on TV at home.

In all honesty, the towers looked like they came down in a controlled demolition the very first time I witnessed it.

I disagree about Steven Jones. He projects the whole academic thing rather than the Alex Jones thing. He does an excellent job explaining not only the specific science here, but the scientific method in general, which a lot of people seem to have missed in junior high -- and which is invaluable in countering the junk science of the OV.

Yes, and he should make clear that intercept doesn't mean "shoot-down", it just means encounter, rendezvous, observe, etc. (I think much of the general public think it means attack & shoot-down.)

As I watched the C-SPAN show here in NYC, during the first few minutes, when Alex spoke about Operation Northwoods, the video & audio signal went fast-forward & garbled much of this information. (I think someone at C-SPAN or the cable company may have done this deliberately because Northwoods could be right on target for most of 9/11!)

I would request that everyone write a quick email thanking Brian Lamb and the C-SPAN staff for the guts to broadcast the American Scholars Symposium panel discussion. Let's show them our support.

It's on again right now! 11:00 pm Eastern Time. And again tomorrow afternoon.

Dylan believes strongly in our presence at Ground- to -zero. (I really hate to dignify their name for the World Financial District.) However, there is this nagging project to have a week of rallys in the District of Criminals. Overall, you are talking about millions of people who can make a big difference, just by protesting all that is known, right where we live.

So, the problem might be perceived as a New York Issue, and it might be perceived as a National issue. To accomodate Dylan, and all of those who have followed this saga from a similar standpoint of a sincere, 'truth-finding' mission, I strongly endorse Dylan and his local counterparts to organize a gathering much like we saw tonight on C-Span.

I felt quite out of my league when confronted with this type of panel-driven event at "Confronting the Evidence." I had hoped to take the stage for a 5 minute re-enactment of the bizarre "FBI take-over" to which I was a party at the WTC. Nico, who had contacted me to come to the show, and was the only person I knew there, was very upset about the flow of command in the final hours before the event transpired. It was poorly choreographed, but tirelessly planned.

For Nico, it had come down to some personal issues, which I knew little or nothing about. I really wanted to shoot some of the presenters, (since the term 'terrorism' didn't even belong on the menu,) and from the perspective of 'focus and intent,' Alex Jones seems to have outdone himself here, faced with the same, real-time 'live' -flow of perspectives and ideas.

With the changing of the guard, we also need a change in our richteous, tiny little brains, where it comes to showmanship. One person just commented that Steven Jones didn't sound professional enough, yet I would immediately challenge that claim. Nothing is more believable that people acting as themselves. I for one could not ever get a word in edgewise with Alex Jones, but he never challenged me on my personal antics, as in my inability to sound professional on-air. I have worked on-stage 3,000 times, and the most I've ever said 'live' prior to having my Country being destroyed, was "1,- 2, mic-check, 1,- 2"

But that's what you are all doing, and I have to emphasise this as thugh I could assume the divine insight of Frank Zappa. "Everyone in this audience is wearing a uniform," if you will!

Dylan, yopu have literally embrased a new genre of filmaking, be it a product of the 80's roving 'Gonzo-journalism' or whatever. I'm a little more comfortable with older, more ingrained formats, not that that is good. But something has got to change before ANYONE considers themselves up to the task of repeating all this nonesence at: "Confronting the US Government, 9/11/2006."

Finally, I will opine that the smartest persons there in LA said we must attack Chomsky's hench-mob, but the fault is systemic, therein. I believe this is not only true, but we need to teach Amy Goodman what it really feels like to work out of "an old Firehouse," if you get my pun.

But, again, this time it's showmanship we need. Maybe this should include 3 real 747 fly-bys! Maybe there should be a bi-plane buzzing every Burrow around Manhattan all month long, dumping "Inside-job/ Be there!" confetti, as Nico had suggested.

Surely, Dylan's friends will get the nerve to use bull-horns, but I deplore anyone who believes known 'failing' tactics are enough; ie: "Mam, we believe there ought to be an investigation. Here's a free DVD. I hope you'll buy a t'-shirt?"

No, you kids, {and I am referring to you too Mr. Bauman,} need to abandon your fixed-position about expressing your personal beliefs with divine composure, and get behind a radical way to present this to the world. The 'EVIDENCE-kit' is complete, now let's talk about taking this damn 'Band' on the road!

Just as Webster has suggested that 9/11 is the archilles heel of the peace-movement, so is the mechanism of organized crime on Wall St. which actually dominates the High Command.

I would therefore add one simple point to the entire planning-group for Ground Zero, - (how might we) DEFINE WHAT ALL US CITIZENS MUST DO on 9/11?

AND, I would greatly support any radical plan to dynamically "pre-define" what is happening within Amy's little garden-party at the Washington Monument. For instance, dying the water in the reflecting-pool Brite RED! Have clerics pass-out grey-dust, offering it as though bread-crumbs: "This is the body of the sinners who died on 9/11" -etc.

Alex Jones, Jimmy Walter, Dylan Avery, Gonzales, some NYC Firemen, et. all, THEY are already "American Heros" and probably need to be able to have a day of rest and exhaltation, so maybe they should just be carted about these events in Chariots, and just have fun all day! I start at google, then I move on to yahoo, then I move on to c-span.org, then I move on to rawstory, then I move on to msnbc, cnn, fox, and then I look at www.whatdoesitmean.com to see if there's any worldly news we should know about... it's all in one place there... their side stories that are written by Sorcha aren't good, and they were bullshit about the $50,000,000.00 offer for 9/11 evidence, but they do collect a lot of news... most of which are from credible sources.

I missed it the first time but, I'm watching it again now online. I'm still blown away that this is happening. It's a huge step.

Alex Jones made a great point. If you have a murder with 10 corpses and evidence enough to convict the murderer, you may still never learn all the details of the crime.

The details of things we don't have enough evidence for we should not focus on.

We should focus on the evidence we have, which is plenty strong: controlled demolition of the 3 WTC buildings, NORAD standdown, FBI admitting no hard evidence linking Osama to 9/11, massive evidence of illegal destruction of crime scene evidence, the lies and omissions in the 9/11 Commission Report, etc. etc. etc.

The exposure on C-Span was great, but I wonder if 9/11 Truth advocates could use visual props in all of their presentations? This was a television event without pictures. The videos and pictures of 9/11 are compelling and incriminating. Truthers should insist on using them for all TV appearances, even though, obviously, they are available everywhere on the Internet. The repetition of these incriminating images may have a subconscious effect on viewers.

I'm not sure when precisely I started to ask questions, but I first started to pay attention seriously when I first saw the original footage on the 'net (I've never seen Fahrenheit 9/11) of George at the Emma Booker School: I went ballistic. After that, I felt sure something was wrong. I got re-ignited last March when I saw Siegel's 9/11 Eyewitness through Information Clearing House, who also led me to "cooperative research". After that, there no longer was any doubt.

I figure we've got no more than 2-4 weeks left to move people to action. "They" will leave no mountain unmoved in an effort to put this genie back in the bottle.

Tonight Fetzer's st911.org co-founder Dr. Steven Jones repeatedly endorsed the work (and website) of Jim Hoffman- saying that in fact Hoffman's wtc7.net helped to open his own eyes to an Inside Job!

So what does this say about the interpersonal relationship between Dr. Jones and Dr. Fetzer? They have strong rapport on the radio, it seems (and who couldn't with Jones- he seems about as agreeable as a person could be).

I know this is a stupid thing to get stuck on but I can't help but wonder... Does Fetzer go nuts on Jones when the name Hoffman comes up?

I think Hofmann is for real, just as Ruppert is for real, just as Gore Vidal and Noam Chomsky and Alex Cockburn and A. Roy are for real.

But if you think that commercial jets didn't hit the WTC towers, and that a missile hit the Pentagon, you'll probably declare that Hoffman is a spook, just like most others who disagree with no-plane.

fyi - Jim Fetzer and Jim Hoffman don't agree on a lot of issues and have both written critiques of eachother. That's about all there is to it.

Neither one is a spook, and both are likely 'for real.' You won't see Hoffman going around calling people spooks or 'not for real' -- he generally critiques the work and doesn't make personal statements about the people. Fetzer keeps saying one of them isn't for real (we have to presume he doesn't mean himself, but may he does!).

What Tarpley said about getting to the gatekeepers is HUGE. Especially Goodman. But, how do we know who's pulling their strings? There is likely a good reason why people like Chomsky, Goodman, and most of Air America refuse to even discuss 9/11.

I just got through watching the panel discussion on C-SPAN a few hours ago. I thought it was pretty good. I'm shocked they allowed it on national televison though. You would have thought C-SPAN would have gotten a call from King Bush at whitehouse ordering them not to air it. Nevertheless I thought it was really good. I'm sure King Bush and Lord Cheney went into convulsions when they heard about this.

I sure would've liked to have an answer to the last audience query about, if the Pentagon was not hit by a plane, then where are those passengers allegedly killed? Where is the famous Barbara Olson. And, please, don't try to claim she's deep undercover in Hungary laundering Illuminati money.

I never thought I would say this but the movement is over. This was our moment and we blew it. 90 minutes on CSPAN was the MOST we could have ever asked for. And we blew it.

The single crucial mistake the ASS conference made was preaching to the choir. That is, they spoke to the crowd as if everyone was already convinced (which they probably were but CSPAN as a whole is not). Obvously, any clear-thinking person can discern that the official story has huge gaps in it. But our most precious 90 minutes was clouded by true "conspiracy". Although things may fall into place all across the board, we need to approach this like a prosecutor would apporoach a criminal case -- narrow and focused. There is so much credible and specific evidence available -- why would the panelists speak in such broad terms?

The conference should have been as such, in whichever order you like:

Alex Jones: Overview of the historical context of state-sponsored "terrorism". Specifically Northwoods & Tonkin; that's it. No bloviating. Explain what you can prove.

David Ray Griffin: Overview of the strongest points in his two books; The New Pearl Harbor & 9/11 Ommisison Report. Essentially the lecture he gave on BookTV.

Paul Thompson: Get into the nitty gritty of the flaws in the official story vis a vis a detailed timeline. Again, narrow and focused. Perhaps focus on the specifics of Bush's actions that day or the buried news reports that cast legitimate doubt on the official story (General Ahmad's meeting, military wargames prior to and on 9/11, etc.)

Jeff King: The same exact powerpoint presentation that we have all seen. Detailed overview of the physics of the collapses. Again, focus on "squibs", physical evidence, rapidity of WTC7 collapse, etc.

Michael Ruppert: Discussion on "peak oil" and other feasible motives. Focus on big business profits and geopolitical implications of 9/11 and American hegemony.

Kristen Breitwesier: Smart and savvy 9/11 widow that can speak of her trouble in geting the 9/11 whitewash commission formed.

That's it. Twenty minutes each. Boom.

By "preaching to the choir", the panel failed to present any credible evidence that would get the average CSPAN viewer (who is most certainly at least somewhat open-minded) thinking about it. We have to understand that for most people this is UNthinkable -- that our government would perpetrate such a crime. You convince them by presenting specific and provocative evidence -- i.e. war games, WTC7, thermal hot spots, Mineta testimony, Sibel Edmonds, Phoenix Memo, and specifically Osama bin Laden & the FBI. When you trigger that slight sense of doubt, the dam begins to crack. You need to intrigue people enough to take it upon themselves to look into it. By spouting true "conspiracy", by which I mean speaking in broad terms (the "government" and
"they"), the ASS most likely turned off more people than it turned on.

I can't stand Fetzer! I distrust him even further now after everything about him during that performance, not only his presentation.

Steven Jones is great as always. But he tends to mmmm kind of mumble or pause frequently with a lot of "ummm" and quiet ends to sentences, kind of to himself etc. during live presentations. But he's GREAT!

Get Steven Jones and Robert Bowman on Primetime now, and the official 9/11 story would be obliterated nationwide within the space of an hour, with no turning back for any reasonable thinking people who still cling to the official story.

Having debated Chomsky on this subject, I honestly believe both the "left" and "right" gate-keepers will do the right thing if (a) enough pressure is applied and (b) enough solid evidence is elicted.

If I was a newby, I don't think I'd end up watching the whole show. This panel was supposed to use open dialog. Yet, Tarpley kept going way off topic, and Fetzer and Bowman sounded like preachers.

I wasn't impressed. But still good coverage (I hope).

I agree we shouldn't ignore the pentagon issue. Not the what-hit-the-pentagon but every other aspects of the pentagon issue. But in my gut feeling, the 85 or so videotapes that were confiscated by the FBI are most likely destroyed. That's why we need to continue to damand why these tapes aren't being released to the public for our interest. It's inexcusible of the FOIA to release the same 5 frame video to the public when it had already been released in 2002.

I liked the conference...though, I thought it could've been better. What we really need to do is organize a HUGE panel and presentation and put on something for like 3 hours!!!

Mr. Jones was the only panelist with any dignity. The rest__including Alex Jones__came off as self-important media hogs. As one who has been deeply suspicious of the "official" 911 drill, I am, nonetheless, turned off by those who dismiss and/or smother audience questions under the bloat of superiority to those who would have questions for them. The 911 Truth Movement would do well to limit the "stars" to a third of the program and leave two-thirds to answering all audience inquiries without judgement of intellectual merit.
Where is Barbara Olson? I really would like an answer to that question.

I do not think that Dr. Steven Jones comes across as unsure of himself. Not at all. It's a basic reality of scientific work that conclusions are hedged; you see it in the + or - for error in any statististical poll. That's a good thing. It is not "black or white" thinking or "painting with a broad brush" that we need. Most of us have been conditioned and educated away from critical thinking, which often involves second guessing, and have been conditioned and educated towards absolute certainty. To "go with the flow," just stick strickly to the irrefuable facts. Then, don't be satisfied with the removal of "conspiracy" from the title, but demand the removal of "theories" and the substutution of "facts." "The Facts of 9/11" is much more solid and easily defended.

I would like to know more about the Air Combat Command's "Crown Vigilance". I know that it was an exercise done on 9/11, but does anyone know if that particular exercise had planes up in the air and from which base?
