Why "NOT" to Fight for 9/11 Truth

Why "NOT" to Fight for 9/11 Truth

by Bill Douglas

"Propaganda is not meant to fool the intelligencia
. . . but to provide them an excuse."

-- Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Propagandist

Early on when it became apparent to me that the official 9/11 story was a massive deception, it became urgent to tell others and spread this information wide and far. Having been a peace & justice activist my whole life, naturally I ran to the peace movement.

I discovered two things quickly. 1) Many people in the peace movement shared my concerns about "problems" with the official 9/11 story, however, 2) Much of the top leadership in the peace movement accepted the official story of 9/11, and refused to consider troubling evidence to the contrary.

One woman who was a major peace group leader, who's name I won't mention, said that she wouldn't search for 9/11 truth because "she didn't like the people in the 9/11 truth movement."

So, I decided to make a list of all the reasons I've heard for the "left" or "peace & justice" communities to avoid looking at the hard facts regarding 9/11.

What we have on our side, as

What we have on our side, as demonstrated in the article, is that every excuse for people to NOT question the official conspiracy theory , is completely and utterly irrational. That needs to be made known to the public at large. We have logic on our side.

And then they came for the pastors......

Here is something that my old pastor wanted me to take a look at. After reading this I gave him a good dose of the TRUTH. But this is very sad that the "Christian" community is attacking David Ray Griffin.

'False Flag' Theologians
September 11 and Conspiracy Theories

September 18, 2006

If he knew, John Knox, the great Scottish cleric, would be turning over in his grave.

A publishing company bearing his name has just released a book that links a September 11 conspiracy theory with claims that Jesus was a political activist intent on overthrowing the Roman Empire. It's a warning of what can happen when Christians drift away from Christian beliefs.

The book is titled Christian Faith and the Truth behind 9/11: A Call to Reflection and Action. It is published by Westminster John Knox Press, the publishing arm of the Presbyterian Church-USA. The author is liberal theologian David Griffin.

Griffin claims the Bush administration orchestrated the attacks, bringing down the Twin Towers with controlled demolitions. It was, Griffin claims, part of a "false flag" operation to provoke war in the Middle East and expand the American global empire.

Griffin views the United States as a "demonic" power, responsible for starving millions of people every year. His solution: one-world government in order to "bring the kingdom of God to earth," as he told Heather Wilhelm in the Wall Street Journal. We should do this, he says, in imitation of Jesus, the original political activist who tried to overthrow the Roman Empire.

Of course, as Wilhelm dryly observes, that would make the testimony of Jesus that "my kingdom is not of this world" the original "false flag" operation.

While Griffin's publisher incredibly claims the book "advances religious scholarship" and "inspires faithful living," rank-and-file Presbyterians know better: They have called Griffin everything from "irresponsible" to "a total wing nut." And as a reviewer on Amazon.com sarcastically wrote, "Actually, the 9/11 attacks were planned and coordinated by Martians, in conjunction with survivors from Atlantis."

Griffin, of course, is far from alone in pushing September 11 conspiracy theories. What makes his theory so disturbing is the fact that he drags a twisted view Jesus into his fantasies—and that the Presbyterian Church publishers would aid and abet him. One of the fundamental truths of the Christian faith is that Jesus did not come to lead an overthrow of earthly powers, but to announce the kingdom and to prepare people for it.

In his classic 1923 book, Christianity and Liberalism, the great Presbyterian scholar and Princeton Professor Jay Gresham Machen reminds us that people who deny the fundamentals of the Christian faith are not just liberal Christians; they belong to another religion entirely. When it comes to liberalism, Machen wrote, Christianity "is battling against a totally diverse type of religious belief," rooted in naturalism. Despite its use of Christian terminology, "liberalism not only is a different religion from Christianity but belongs in a totally different class of religions."

If I ever saw evidence of this writ large, it is the willingness of Presbyterian publishers to publish such a heretical book.

The Bible warns us that false prophets and teachers will always be among us, introducing destructive heresies and maligning the way of the truth. We need to be on guard against them—and willing to speak out against those who attempt to lead Christ's flock astray. Bible-believing Presbyterians, take note and clean house.

As sad as this e-mail is, I'm sure that most of the "religious" people that will forward it on don't know a thing about DRG or the things he has said. This is so sad, the exact people that he is trying to warn are the first to turn on him.

Good essay,

Bill.

The more frightened people

The more frightened people are, the more susceptible they become to propaganda ;)

True... Pavlov domonstrated that.

That is completely true. Pavlov discoverded that in a state of trauma, shock or emotional distress people became more suggestible, and those suggestions are more deeply believed and internalized.

This is why we were told so quickly that it was Bin Laden, despite the complete lack of evidence (as admitted by the FBI). It was essential that we were told the 'official' narrative immediately rather than later when rationally thinking.

Numerous well-paid/bribed moles in high places...

I think their are numerous well-paid & bribed moles that were put in high places long before 9/11 to try & quash any truth movement. I think they were winning at first, but not any longer!

Wow! What a quote!

"Propaganda is not meant to fool the intelligencia
. . . but to provide them an excuse."
-- Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Propagandist

Amazing quote.

Here's a better quote from Goebbels

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

I believe many think it

I believe many think it would be a worse course to take - that it would just provoke another false flag event and make things worse... i have a strong feeling this is what many of the "left gatekeepers" think(even though i'd be considered 'right' - it's ridiculous to call 9/11 truthers "leftists")

That's ridiculous. Not

That's ridiculous. Not calling them on the first one is what would lead to another false-flag attack. The gatekeepers have other reasons for rejecting 9/11 truth, which have been discussed on this board many times,

I have often wondered why it

I have often wondered why it is so hard for people stuck in the left paradigm to accept 9/11 truth. It is clear that they would love to blame crimes on Bush, but at some level it undermines their whole philosophy... or the idea that government is inherently good and is the best means to achieving social justice.

It seems to accept that a democratically elected government (ok I know about the 2000 elections but stay with me) could be capable of such things, grossly undermines their whole world view.

as a member of "the left", i

as a member of "the left", i can assure you we dont all think that government is inherently good.

It's obvious that our

It's obvious that our nation's paradigm of left/right, Republican/Democrat is completely over except for on shows like Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Rush, Glenn Beck, etc and so-forth. I consider myself a true Constitutional conservative, and folks, those idiots on the radio are NOT conservatives - they are police-state loving neo-NAZIs. They are spouting SO much propaganda amongst themselves that it's become this sick, neo-con feeding frenzy that's just completely sickening to listen to for more than 5 minutes. ALL they can talk about is how the Democrats are evil (which they are, but so are the Republicans) and that terrorism is the biggest threat to ever exist. THERE ARE NO OTHER ISSUES THEY CAN ADDRESS ANYMORE !!!

What about the national-freakin' debt, Rush ?!?!?!?!

Anyhow,

It's come down to those who believe that tyranny CAN happen in America perpetrated by our own government.

vs.

those who are in complete denial and would rather watch football all day while thinking the economy is great because we can still get cheap slave-labor goods at Wal-Mart.

Until the truth makes a turn and wipes this propaganda off the airwaves and de-labotomizes the general public, I will feel like I'm living in a modern-day laboratory of NAZI mind-control.

But I know I'm preaching to the choir here, for the most part.
