Your use of the word "magic" reveals a flawed understanding of the real world.

The entire "truth movement" is based on the fallacy of personal incredulity. You can't believe that things could have happened this way, so you invent alternate explanations that you prefer, despite their having little or no basis in fact. What baffles me is that the alternate explanations are usually so wildly implausible compared to reality.

I don't know what makes people disbelieve a simple, rational, evidence-backed account, but believe an irrational, wildly complex and improbable explanation of the same event.

Actually, I shouldn't jump to the conclusion that "truthers" have read the evidence-backed accounts in the first place. Very few that I've encountered have read much, if any, of the 9/11 commission report, the NIST reports, the first responder accounts. That's one of the most bizarre things to me: how can you criticize the "official version" if you haven't looked at the evidence that supports it? How can you provide an improbable explanation for a specific event if you haven't examined, or attempted to refute, the rational explanations?

Plane crashed are chaotic events. In addition to the thousands of small body parts that were produced by the WTC impacts, many large parts also remained: torsos, heads, arms, legs. No doubt some of these belonged to the building occupants. Remains of at least 45 of the passengers and crew from the two planes were positively identified. Were those all "planted?"

On the same roof where the 600 body parts were found, a charred AA seat cushion and a life vest were also found. Life vests were also prominent in the street, as EMT Briam Smith describes:

"I'm trying to remember everything in that 20
seconds I'm going past it, but I remember there was
life jackets everywhere, the yellow in - flight life
jackets, and that the contrast of the yellow against
all the gray, you know. It stood out. It was easy for
me to pick it out, and I remember thinking as I saw
that , you know, I guess it must have been a plane
crash, because where the hell else would you get a
bunch of yellow life jackets in the middle of
Manhattan, you know."

I don't think you'll argue that the life vests and body parts were planted, right?

Some mail from the planes even made it through:

On Oct. 12, it arrived inside a second envelope at Mrs. Snyder's modest white house on Main Street here, and the instant she took it out and saw it, she says, ''chills just went over me.'' It was singed and crumpled. A chunk was ripped out, giving the bottom of the envelope she had sent the look of a jagged skyline. Mrs. Snyder's lyrical script had blurred into the scorched paper. The stamp, depicting a World War II sailor embracing a woman welcoming him home, was intact.

Along with the letter was a note: ''To whom it may concern. This was found floating around the street in downtown New York. I am sorry if you suffered any loss in this tragedy. Sincerely, a friend in New York!''

Since then, Mrs. Snyder, a customer service representative at a grocery store, has discovered that she has one of only two pieces of mail known to have been recovered from the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center. At least one auction house has contacted her, saying she could sell the letter for tens of thousands of dollars."

Likewise, there's nothing miraculous about the bandanna surviving. Many "soft" things survived the crash of flight 93: Lorraine Bay's flight log, mail, and other personal effects:

"United Airlines Flight 93 slammed into the earth Sept. 11 near Shanksville, Somerset County, at more than 500 mph, with a ferocity that disintegrated metal, bone and flesh. It took more than three months to identify the remains of the 40 passengers and crew, and, by process of elimination, the four hijackers...

But searchers also gathered surprisingly intact mementos of lives lost.

Those items, such as a wedding ring and other jewelry, photos, credit cards, purses and their contents, shoes, a wallet and currency, are among seven boxes of identified personal effects salvaged from the site.

So, before jumping to wild conclusions like "planted bandannas," and passports, please,

1) Know the details about the event.

2) State, with facts to back your claim, why the "official" explanation is incorrect.

If you don't do those things, then you're simply being irrational, and you may as well start a church to promote your beliefs. Think of the tax benefits.
