Visibility 9-11 Welcomes John Albanese
This week, Visibility 9-11 visits the topic of COINTELPRO in the 2nd part of a new series on issues facing the 9-11 Truth Movement. "Left gatekeepers", dis-information specialists, agent provocateurs, and internet "trolls" all work to distract and/or discredit the fine work of literally thousands of good and caring Americans involved in 9-11 Truth. It is important to recognize the history of things our government has done which has violated every tenet of a free society.
This broadcast features an interview with New York 9-11 activist and documentary film maker John Albanese, producer of Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime and the soon to be released Disinformation in the Information Age, due out February 19, 2007. Topics include disinformation, the unconstitutionality of COINTELPRO activities by the government, and specific individuals, who by their own actions and deeds, make them suspect of dubious intent. Counter Intelligence Programs, or COINTELPRO, is one more example of the federal governments' raping of our rights. These abuses were going on during the 50's, 60's and 70's, and though they were prohibited by the Church Committee regulations, they have not ceased. They are alive and well within political groups which would seek to bring about truth, justice and accountability to our government. 9-11 Truth is no exception and activists need to educate themselves on the "dirty little tricks" our government uses against our rights to free speech and association. Only then, can we learn to recognize, and then address the attempts which would tear down all of our hard work.

I was a bit upset that Michael dismissed the Pentagon investigations (valid research is ongoing and will continue), personally I would have preferred if he concentrated on the obvious bad WTC "research" and its "researchers" pressure and threat tactics.
I'm glad that you concentrated on the ugly research and the threatening nature of those researchers.

Great interview. You guys really touched all the bases and didn't pull your punches. I really appreciated how you emphasized that not everyone in the movement knows enough about the history of cointelpro, and the evidence that it operates in some form to this day.
(My only critical note: You guys didn't mention, or at least emphasize, that recent freedom of information act requests have revealed that the FBI has been investigating and infiltrating peace groups all over the country. You must have heard the pitiful story of that San Diego peace action group of mostly old ladies that was infiltrated by the FBI due to its anti-recruitment protests. I like to refer to this example as it emphasizes how little it takes to be investigated by a counter-intelligence apparatus that is fully operational at present.)
Michael, your repeated emphasis on focusing on only our best evidence was a real sound for sore ears. People must come to understand that this is not divisive, but essential to the growth of the movement.
I was wondering for a minute if you guys were going to get it just right, but then the bible quote set me at ease. Yes! We may have no way of determining if someone is an intelligence agent. But we sure can look at their behavior and ask why someone in the movement would act like an intelligence agent.
And, of course, thanks for the reference made to our new disinfo page. We've been concerned about this issue for a long time, and are very glad to see some unity in the movement forming around addressing this challenge.
John, can't wait for the movie. I'm glad that you are taking your time to include recent events, as things have really come to a head recently, and your movie will hopefully be documenting just how bad these people are presently making themselves look.

Personally I WILL NOT be drawn into a drama with someone I who is otherwise an ally but who refuses to get along--and I usually say so--just before LEAVING the conversation.

Killtown has been pestering me about something trivial I didn't choose to respond to on another thread. And now he's posting off topic in a really unfriendly manner. Doesn't this violate some kind of rule or other. I don't consider these comments to arise from any genuine interest in debate.
And now he's gone and done a rather silly little hit piece about TruthMove at his blog, not noticing that we had already changed the site based on comments made at the original thread that were equally as critical of our efforts, but coherent enough to represent a valid suggestion.

In spite of your uncooperative approach, one of these days, when I'm not busy doing something a lot more important, I'll make the changes you are requesting. According to my research, and your comments, "holograms" should be 'ghost planes' and "space-beam" should be 'directed energy beam'.
Unfortunately, based on your attitude and approach, I can only assume that you will find some other reason to say that we are spreading disinformation. Hey, I'm down for some punchy give and take. But not if I think we aren't on the same team.

I believe...
This is a very important show. As well as last week's. If this movement can prove that there is an obvious concerted effort against it, that further lends credibility to our cause. If it's found out that it is the result of COINTELPRO, then we've got them by the balls. Also, I think it's important for newbies to hear from those that have been around a while, and have experienced being attacked, and by whom.

some people just don't seem to be able to grasp the idea that this community will not be bullied into accepting junk science. all the threats and tortured logic in the world is not going to result in the american public relinquishing its common sense and precious civil liberties. Americans still demand accountability on 911 - and you cannot bully that away.
i do not know if Steven Jones has all the answers. but i will fight to the death to defend this community's RIGHT to embrace his conclusions over those who seek to poison the dialogue with make-believe discussions on space beams and no-planes theories.
