Only 40% of U.S. Muslims believe 9/11 was carried out by "Arabs"
Following on a poll of Muslim populations in Morocco, Egypt, Pakistan and Indonesia that showed only 25% of these people accepted the official identification of the perpetrators of 9/11, comes a new poll focused on American Muslims by the respected Pew Research Center in DC.

The first-ever, nationwide, random sample survey of Muslim Americans finds them to be largely assimilated, happy with their lives, and moderate with respect to many of the issues that have divided Muslims and Westerners around the world.
The Pew Research Center conducted more than 55,000 interviews to obtain a national sample of 1,050 Muslims living in the United States. Interviews were conducted in English, Arabic, Farsi and Urdu. The resulting study, which draws on Pew's survey research among Muslims around the world, finds that Muslim Americans are a highly diverse population, one largely composed of immigrants. Nonetheless, they are decidedly American in their outlook, values and attitudes. This belief is reflected in Muslim American income and education levels, which generally mirror those of the public...
...Relatively few Muslim Americans believe the U.S.-led war on terror is a sincere effort to reduce terrorism, and many doubt that Arabs were responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Just 40% of Muslim Americans say groups of Arabs carried out those attacks.

Muslims are in denial for different reasons than Americans.
The official story (coupled with "blowback"), provides a false venue of empowerment for the Muslim community; in much the same way Oklahoma city probably provided for the radical-right-wing-malitia community...for a time anyway.

What the hell are you talking about? Who says Muslims are in denial? There is not one shred of credible evidence that these attacks were carried out by Muslims.
There may have been a few real Arabs on the four flights, but they were manipulated there much the same way Lee Harvey Oswald was manipulated into the Dallas Book Depository on Nov. 22, 1962. "I didn't shoot anyone, I'm just a patsy," was what Oswald said after being captured; and the same would have been said by Satam Suqami if he had not been assassinated by the real hijackers in the opening moments of the takeover of AAL11. (For those who haven't been doing their research, Suqami was sitting in seat 10B on AAL11, the seat number identified by Betty Ong as belonging to an "injured passenger."
Five and a half years after 9/11, there still is no evidence, let alone proof, that the men hijacking the planes were Arabs or Muslims at all. It is just as likely that these men were agents of a foreign intelligence agency, who were dark-skinned and disguised as Arabs, who were impersonating Arabs for the purpose of framing Arabs for the crime of the century.
You're missing the point.
He's saying that the average muslim in the general population, who still believes the official story, might be suffering from denial for different reasons than anglo-americans. Muslims who still believe the official story feel empowered by the idea that their co-religionist brothers "struck back" at "The Great Satan" for all its injustices. Some muslims WANT to believe the official story because they are proud that America got taught a lesson.
Again, I don't mean to be rude, but some of us should check our emotional responses before typing a reply. You totally missed what this person was saying. Reading comprehension. People are so quick, so eager to jump all over any perceived racism that they often ignore the content of the message. Calm down and soak in some of the meaning. There was no accusation or derision of muslims here.

Simpler explanation
They could be scared of being accused of being unpatriotic or terrorist sympathizers. People don't always tell the truth in polls. Even Americans that are not Muslims might hesitate to tell a stranger they don't believe the official story, whether for fear of retribution or just not wanting to appear unpatriotic.

American Muslims of all people should know that this war on terror is a bullshit story. They know that they and their communities are not radical and are in fact well-adjusted to the values and ways of American life. The main consumers of this war on terror are ignorant white middle-class Americans to whom bigotry, fear, and hatred come easily and who on a perverse level enjoy the edge-of-your-seat storyline and military engagement. The profiteers are a military-industrial-complex and foreign policy elite. I've just about lost my faith in this holier-than-thou and dangerously ignorant country of fools.
the terror imams
in western countries are tolerated / controlled by our own intelligence agencies, i'm sure there's plenty of moderate muslims in london for example that don't realize that MI5 / MI6 ran for years the brixton and finsbury mosques.
they hear of radicalists but don't realize the connections - that'd be my guess, i drink quite a bit and end up in cabs here in calgary and rarely fail to mention the truth behind 9/11 to the drivers - many of them arabs (predominantly lebanese these parts).
most of them suspect something's up but are glad to hear that there is organized and orderly information out there.
i have been reaching out the the local muslims in my own way - this is a segment of the population that i believe is somewhat unaware of 9/11 truthers in general - not that they don't know that the official story is bullshit.

such a good point. its so hard for muslims to be honest about anything "war on terror" related in this country. just a quick story, i was listening to a local radio show the other day that i catch in the car from time to time. it completely sucks but i would rather listen to talk than music. so anyway, these guys would always do a parody of a chinese guy singing karaoke and it would be the typical stereotype of a chinese guy. well apparently they got in trouble because people from the asian community didnt appreciate the stereotypes and they were forced to stop the parody. so what did they do? they decided to change the parody to a muslim guy. guess what? no complaints while they make like every muslim is bloodthirsty and do a stereotypical "arab" voice. the numbers are no doubt much higher than this poll indicate. shit, im white and i occasionally wonder if my phones have been tapped, internet records searched etc. based on the type of activism im involved in. i cant imagine how paranoid i would be if i was of middle eastern decent and thought like i do. i honestly dont know if i would have the courage to be an open 9/11 activist.

muslims, jews facing the truth
my American/Pakistani (Am citizen) muslim friend's million-plus business took a dump after 9/11...former business associates and clients no longer wanted to associate with him. He was on several occasions victim of racial profiling while driving by police. He reached out to form AJMA to promote understanding about islam and between people of differing faiths in our community. when i started talking to him about 9/11 at first he could not believe. but then he turned around. it must be a relief for many muslims to know it was not a muslim/Arab plot, but they might have a new anger...more justified than for any others, to have been falsely accused by the the country they have adopted and loved and served,and the people they have befriended. the ultimate betrayal.
my jewish friends are having a hard time with this...perfectly caring, intelligent people, cannot buy into the demolition science, and...I think, cannot let go of their need to blame the muslim/arabs/palestinians...it's like how many republicans can let go and face the mistake they made in voting for bush? Then to blame israel? that is very difficult for them.
how do we help people drop their alliances, allegiance and alignments and open up to truth, justice and equality? why do we always need an enemy?

i'm having a very difficult time with my family, which includes both Jews and bush supporters (not that they're mutually exclusive), and my friends (just a few holdouts remain). the most receptive people to 9/11 truth, in my opinion, are Muslims.

Afraid to speak
I think it would be courageous for them to say the official conspiracy isn't true. I bet the number of doubters is higher but it isn't a good world for them anymore. To dis the official story could be used against them. I bet secretly most of them know this wasn't possible. Also the words supposedly stated by the "terrorists" are not the words used when one is possibly going to die.

why didn't any of you comment when i posted this exact same story? sure, reprehensor changed the title to include the word 'was' and put Arabs in quotations for some reason, but it's the same information that was included in my blog entry.
anyway, go talk to Muslims in public. it's very interesting to have one-on-one conversations with them (not that we don't have Muslim members here at 911blogger). i've never had one of them express incredulity when i bring up 9/11 truth the way yuppies almost unanomously do.

A quarter of Muslims polled think the authorities involved with staging the 7/7 London bombings.
The Survey
Channel 4 News, with GFK NOP, has commissioned a survey to reveal the Muslim community's attitudes towards the 'official narrative' surrounding the 7/7 bombings revealing that: 59% of the 500 people polled believe that the government has not told the public the whole truth about the 7th July bombings.
52% believe that the British security services have "made up" evidence to convict terrorist suspects.
24% believe the four men identified as the July 7th bombers were not actually responsible for the attacks.
68% believe that the Muslim community does not bear any responsibility for the emergence of extremists willing to attack UK targets. Although 58% felt that the community should be doing more.

are guilty of injustices. However, I'm often somewhat ashamed to be white and of European descent, because I'm pretty sure that "my people" have been responsible for an inordinate amount of "evil" throughout the ages.
