S. 2106, the “Procedural Fairness for September 11 Victims Act of 2007,” which provides for nationwide service of subpoenas in litigation arising out of the hijacking and subsequent crashes of the terrorist-related flights of September 11, 2001.

So, what does this mean? Relatives of Sept. 11 victims now have the ability to subpoena those linked to the case from sea to shining sea. No more jurisdictional boundaries. The seven families left — see today’s update on this historic case — have national reach.

It’s a small victory for the remaining 7 seeking answers on how 19 “Saudi thugs,” as one 9/11 dad put it, brought a nation to its knees. Stay tuned, I’m not quitting this case.
