9/11 Movies - Spring Series 7 - TRUTH TUESDAYS!

This is our tentative schedule - any ideas or input?

We're also working on a tentative Summer Series of 13 movies if Jon and I can pull it together. Our only theater timeslot option may be Midnight showings on Fridays (June through August). Maybe we should show the same movie every Friday night . . . ? Jon reminded me of the Rocky Horror Picture Show . . . Maybe we just replace the word "Rocky" with "Bush/Cheney" for our Summer Series title.

We've decided to continue donating ALL ticket proceeds to the FealGood Foundation rather than use any towards the cost of the theater rental which we were considering doing so we could keep this project alive through the summer. But we'll cross that bridge when we have to . . . .

We also had looked into raising the price of the tickets to $10, but the feedback seemed to indicate that it was not a good idea - especially in light of our non-surging economy. We want to make it as easy as possible for people to attend these movies . . .

We have at least three new die-hard "activists" who are helping us tremendously. One is paying for ads in a local college newspaper, the Swarthmorean, and another has bought about 200 dvd's (PFT, ITOW and LCFC)to give out to "professionals" on the so-called Mainline. One, a close friend of hers, is the #3 (?!) in the DHS -that she is passing 9/11 movies to. How funny is that?

Our most important task, as we see it, is to get as many as possible new viewers to these movies. We could show the movies for free, but Jon & I felt that to give the movies some perceived value, and as an added bonus, a way to raise funds for John Feal and his FealGood Foundation, $5 hit the spot. It's not a lot, nowhere near what the FealGood Foundation could use, but it's something, and we hope that there are the intangible benefits of simply bringing attention to the 9/11 first responders' dire situations, in addition to the 9/11 families' call for a new investigation, that is, at the very least, a win-win for this movie project.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Any comments, suggestions or any input at all is welcome.

Thanks -
Betsy
