'9/11 Truth' activists march through Denver

Hardball host mocks demonstrators

DENVER -- Around 100 activists convinced that the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 were perpetrated by dark and mysterious actors within the US government marched across the city Tuesday in a sanctioned protest that resulted in no confrontations with police.

Members of the so-called "9/11 Truth" movement gathered outside Denver's city hall proceeding to snake through cordoned off streets towards the Pepsi Center, where the Democratic National Convention is being held this week. Radio host Alex Jones, who runs the conspiracy theory Web site infowars.com and is a leader of the movement led demonstrators in chants of "9/11 was and inside job" and "Down with the New World Order."

Denver police on bicycles preceded the marchers through an empty street just outside of downtown. Few Democratic delegates saw the protesters as they marched -- a goal the parade route seemed designed to achieve.

Along with the activists, the march included a mock parade float. Labeled "God's Gitmo," it displayed protesters wearing masks depicting George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleeza Rice, John McCain and Barack Obama locked up behind a chain-link fence.

"a leader of the movement"

Designated by Nick Juliano? I wonder if he gets his information from SLC.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Perfect.Great job!

Although, I wish it hadn't said "Alex Jones... is a leader of the movement."

The people and the TRUTH are the leaders, not AJ.

Great work nonetheless!

I have got to get down

Progress in public...

Hopefully, Alex Jones will not get arrested and his, the 9/11 Truth Movement's and We Are Change's activisms in Denver will have mostly "positves" to be perceived by the public.

Luke's simple and brief words quoted in the Rocky Mountain News will create a very positive imagery and a natural association between the mission of We Are Changes, the 9/11 Truth Movement, and precedent activist efforts and activist organizations. This is very important.

A few points here:

1. Focusing upon corporate existing media figures, attacking corprate media outlets and grinding on most existing politicians in hopes of them accepting our positions is not a very efficient, nor a worthy expenditure of our creative efforts. Some efforts should be made for sure, just to get these "complicits" on the record, but those people and those corporations are invested in the 9/11 cover-up and are a black hole for 9/11 Truth.

2. The future of the 9/11 Truth Movement and anything that We Are Change may accomplish with our messaging and our Truths, is really best suited for affecting and educating the public at large.

3. We can be frustrated at "the systems" around us all we want, but unless we reach the public at large, and ask them to become more involved in their own governance, which includes becoming more "informed", then we will be headed down another dead end alley.

4. Dead Ending is EXACTLY what the HI PERPS not only "want" us to do, but they have many resources that help us accomplish this task. Most of the work cointelpro accomplishes is one of affecting the "thinking" of activist groups so that they will waste their time, go in the wrong directions, react to elements that are at best "tangential" to the mission at hand [like reacting to authority only for authority's sake], or "off-putting" the very public that the activists need as their comrades.

So, do you really think that the Intel Agencies operated by the Pentagon DON'T have full blown career professionals, including psychologists, separate departments and many, many other elements working on these types of "ops" 24-7-365? Of course they do.

5. The 9/11 Truth Movement is FULL of very, very bright people...but because of either cointepro efforts, or because of simply choosing to use old tactics, or, because its such an automatic or conditioned response BASED upon activism of the 60s and 70s, its far too rare that this creative brain power gets used in NEW or UPDATED ways to take advantage of many situations available to spread the word.

Its the oddest thing to me...so smart...but so 60s?

The exception to this of course, is the use of the web world and DVDs and the like where we are amazingly efficient when one-on-one with the public.

6. Bullhorning buildings is insane...and effective ONLY at establishing that the movement itself is insane and full of crackpots who actually think that yelling at empty buildings is sane...

7. Bullhorning individual "sheeple" in streets as they walk past is flat out rude and completely UNCIVIL...and frustratingly COUNTERPRODUCTIVE and it reflects badly upon all the really nice people in these movements...

8. Bullhorning in large crowds, and when one wants to get simple information out to the public at large as accomplished in the MSNBC production, [and where its legalally permitted], is not only CIVIL, but a flat out right of free speech that should be excercised...cleverly and responsibly. This is what a bullhorn is designed for.

9. Alex Jones should NOT accept the moniker of being the leader of the 9/11 Truth Movement...just another important part of it. He is actually standing up for far more elements of truth and change than just 9/11 Truth...and THIS is what should be established whenever possible. Friendly fences are good things.

10. Having been able to get my own "DEMOCRACY REQUIRES the TRUTH" sign on Hardball-MSNBC while attending the march on Manhattan in 04', I strongly support CLEVER efforts to USE the corporate media to spread our message. Its best not to confront them, but to figure out ways to cleverly and politely "use them". The large and tall hand pained 9/11 sign in the background of the MSNBC broadcast was awsome...and most likely "understood" more than the bullhorning...although they were complimentary.

11. Just imagine if WAC-LA's huge banners about 9/11 were held up behind the camera shots in Denver...behind every camera shot? This is legal, this is unstoppable under free speech, and having people in the background is something that corporate media want to have in their broadcasts.

This is why I do what I do outside professional sports games and at other really busy areas which are full of people...mass visuals are GOOD...tey sink into the back-brain [my words].

San Diego bike riders, Plane Truth aviators, LA Freeway bannerers, anyone showing large signs and words at major concerts and outdoor fairs and events, and Truthers CLEVERLY getting some stuff onto TV are all great examples of spreading the word efficiently.

Being in jail and busting it up with cops are not always neccessary and rarely effective.

12. The point here is to use some of our brightness, our creativity and our dedication to become our own media and to share the truth with citizens. So, when considering what we are planning to do, and thinking about how we present ourselves in public, lets think more creatively-more modernly...lets think of efficacy...lets be friendly and positive.

With some patience, far more can be done with thinking than by "knee-jerking", or falling into, or being "steered into" old fashioned tactics.

Think stuff through...use legal guerilla tactics...slip-in and slip out making a positive sting...

The 9/11 Truth Movement is getting better and better at this all the time, and if Alex Jones can stay out of jail and do the OPPOSITE of what the HI PERPS want of him, and if our public presentations can remain civil, then the public activisms shown, and those accomplished by the 9/11 Truth Movement and We Are Changes in Denver, and hopefully, in the Twin Cities, will be ALL positive. This is a good goal.

So far, so good in the Mile High City!

Minneapolis may be a bit different...I hope not...

Nothing quite worked out

Nothing quite worked out right for me today actually, I dropped by the Pepsi Center while they were closing things down, so I was too late, I couldn't find the MSNBC TV booth, then wandered for an hour so looking for any type of relevant rally, it was a disaster, I just walked around a lot, the cool part was walking directly underneath a Denver Police Helicopter hovering at about 50 feet, I just decided to walk under it, for fun, branches of the tree broke off right in front of me, the wind was a blast, then I wandered near Invesco field, couldn't get very close though without a ticket, all in all, kinda fun, but I wish I would have found one of the rallies, I got lost in my own town. I don't actually go downtown much honestly.
