Mexico drug plane used for US 'rendition' flights: report

Thu Sep 4, 4:40 PM ET

MEXICO CITY (AFP) - A private jet that crash-landed almost one year ago in eastern Mexico carrying 3.3 tons of cocaine had previously been used for CIA "rendition" flights, a newspaper report said here Thursday, citing documents from the United States and the European Parliament.

The plane was carrying Colombian drugs for the fugitive leader of Mexico's Sinaloa cartel, Joaquin "Chapo" Guzman, when it crash-landed in the Yucatan peninsula on September 24, El Universal reported.

The daily said it had obtained documents from the United States and the European Parliament which "show that that plane flew several times to Guantanamo, Cuba, presumably to transfer terrorism suspects."

It said the European Parliament was investigating the private Grumman Gulfstream II, registered by the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation, for suspected use in CIA "rendition" flights in which prisoners are covertly transferred to a third country or US-run detention centers.

It also said the US Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) logbook registered that the plane had traveled between US territory and the US military base in Guantanamo.

It said the FAA registered its last owner as Clyde O'Connor in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Extraordinary rendition has been harshly criticized since it began in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.

It seems like the CIA, NSA, & FBI have devolved into Mafia-like

racketeering operations & Gestapo-like abusers of people's rights! It time to rein them in, before the destroy us all!

Rendition Flights, Mexico, Cuba, and CIA

The following is posted from: National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers under the feature button Foreign Media Report. This is a direct link for this particular report, third listing:

"El Universal (Mexico City) 9/4/08

- A jet that crashed near Mérida, Yucatán in September, 2007 with 4 tons of cocaine belonging to narco trafficker Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán briefly headed the news today, then disappeared. The story attempted to connect prior CIA use of the plane for clandestine flights from South and Central America, Europe and Cuba. The news information reportedly came from US and European Parliament documents and was accompanied by a detailed map of flights. The story seemed to suggest or allude to transports of terrorists to Guantánamo."

Of course, the above report merely mirrors the content of Rep's blog, however, the reason I am listing it here is to recommend that people who are interested in learning and keeping up to date about the violence (aka drug cartel terrorism) taking place in a country that is on our border, and spilling into the US (that MSM rarely reports) On that web site you can sign up for reports M-F that they send out every other day.

For example, over the past two years, there has been over 5,000 reported assassinations, and I would say from following weekly reports, one third of those are beheadings. I could go on about this and list numerous reports like the following, but it would be to time consuming:

Mexico detains 2 Cubans in Cancun linked to 12 beheaded bodies.

Perhaps there is more to this story than meets the eye.
