Bin Laden, Most Wanted For Embassy Bombings?

The question is, why hasn't he been indicted? According to this, OBL was indicted for a terrorist attack in 1999, but they can't be bothered to indict him for 9/11? The largest attack ever on U.S. soil, responsible for 2 wars and countless more in the future? Thanks to Michael, Ray, and Truth01 for sendin this in:

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is a longtime and prominent member of the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted" list, which notes his role as the suspected mastermind of the deadly U.S. embassy bombings in East Africa on Aug. 7, 1998. But another more infamous date -- Sept. 11, 2001 -- is nowhere to be found on the same FBI notice.

The curious omission underscores the Justice Department's decision, so far, to not seek formal criminal charges against bin Laden for approving al-Qaeda's most notorious and successful terrorist attack. The notice says bin Laden is "a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world" but does not provide details.

The absence has also provided fodder for conspiracy theorists who think the U.S. government or another power was behind the Sept. 11 hijackings. From this point of view, the lack of a Sept. 11 reference suggests that the connection to al-Qaeda is uncertain.

Exhaustive government and independent investigations have concluded otherwise, of course, and bin Laden and other al-Qaeda leaders have proudly taken responsibility for the hijackings. FBI officials say the wanted poster merely reflects the government's long-standing practice of relying on actual criminal charges in the notices.

"There's no mystery here," said FBI spokesman Rex Tomb. "They could add 9/11 on there, but they have not because they don't need to at this point. . . . There is a logic to it." David N. Kelley, the former U.S. attorney in New York who oversaw terrorism cases when bin Laden was indicted for the embassy bombings there in 1998, said he is not at all surprised by the lack of a reference to Sept. 11 on the official wanted poster.

Kelley said the issue is a matter of legal restrictions and the need to be fair to any defendant. "It might seem a little strange from the outside, but it makes sense from a legal point of view," said Kelley, now in private practice. "If I were in government, I'd be troubled if I were asked to put up a wanted picture where no formal charges had been filed, no matter who it was."

Bin Laden was placed on the Ten Most Wanted list in June 1999 after being indicted for murder, conspiracy and other charges in connection with the embassy bombings, and a $5 million reward was put on his head at that time. The listing was updated after Sept. 11, 2001, to include a higher reward of $25 million, but no mention of the attacks was added.

Others on the list include Colombian drug cartel leader Diego Leon Montoya Sanchez and fugitive Boston crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger, charged with a role in "numerous murders" in the 1970s and 1980s. The FBI maintains a separate "Most Wanted Terrorists" list, which includes bin Laden and 25 others who have been indicted in U.S. federal courts in connection with terror plots. But this second bin Laden listing also makes no mention of Sept. 11.

"The indictments currently listed on the posters allow them to be arrested and brought to justice," the FBI says in a note accompanying the terrorist list on its Web site. "Future indictments may be handed down as various investigations proceed in connection to other terrorist incidents, for example, the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001."

Flight 93 by comparison

Check out the recent coverage of the plane crash in Kentucky. The scene looks very very similar to the "crash" in shanksville. Same fire-truck, same "hole in the ground". The important difference: they got a really big plane wreck, with real plane parts...

Well

The plane in Kentucky I dont think really left the ground.

However a plane crash in Russia just a few days ago where a large commercial passenger jet crashed, it plummeted from 36,000' and yet you see the usual crash site.

Bodies strewn everywhere, lots of wreckage, large airplane parts, engines, black boxes etc.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/russia/article/0,,1856135,00.html?gusrc=rss&fe...

I wonder what the odds are of 4 planes crashing and not one of them leaving enough wreckage to bother with a reconstruction or any real investigation.

Hmmm

... same airport the Saudis were flown out of post 9/11.

the old lies

Bin Laden first denied having anything to do with the attacks. If he was proud of his involvement in the attacks, why didn't he take credit from the beginning? When he finally did take credit, he did so through a tape that was never authenticated, which is probably why the President was asked about the authenticity of the tape.

If "exhaustive government and independent investigations" have proven the certainty of Bin Laden's involvement in the attacks, then why not charge him for the crimes of 9/11? Let's see the evidence.

Let's...

Take a look at the funding for 9/11 shall we? I don't think it's of little practical significance.

The tape

wasn't "authenticated" because it was so poorly faked that it would have been embarrassing.
Same with the fake Nigerian Yellowcake documents.

This administration has bungled so badly on these false flag attacks & black ops that it is like watching an old 3 stooges movie.
Other administrations have tried such deceit, they were usually good enough and smart enough to conceal it for decades before being caught, some no doubt have never been caught.

Better Yet...

Let's charge KSM, the supposed "mastermind" of the attacks. We have him in custody DON'T WE?!?

C'mon George, bring him before a judge.

I'm Going To Post...

The Moussaoui trial archive sometime today to show what happens when you try to bring charges against someone supposedly involved in 9/11.

Haha...

When Jon posts this, keep your eyes peeled for the mint condition red bandana from Flight 93 that survived, despite the coroner finding neither bodies nor blood at the scene.

"Body" found in Pentagon

Yep, the Moussaoui trial proved it once and for all. Just look at this unfortunate soul found intact (much unlike any plane parts) at the Pentagon--I should stress, this is NOT A JOKE--they really showed this to the jury:

No offense to the family of this mannequin is intended of course...

This is beyond absurd--it's just... freakin' hilarious...

LOL

Seriously, huh? I wonder what the cause of death was... It almost looks like the building collapsed on him after his arms caught fire just after he ripped the skin off of his chest. But then, his face looks emaciated--it may have been hunger that did him in--maybe even a bona fide case of dummy abuse...

Also if his arms are well-done...

How is it that his torso is rare? Shouldn't it look more like medium-well? And why didn't the fat melt?

Could they not show a photo

Could they not show a photo of someone in a passenger seat? Maybe there were none.

They also didn't chose to show the one dead body found in the rubble of WTC7, instead 9/11 commissioner Kean justified the non-investigation by claiming there was "no loss of life" because of WTC7 collapsing.

Well, they don't say this was a "passenger"...

So it might have been someone who was just walking around there, if it were a real corpse. Let's hope for Cheney's sake it isn't because it would be one more person dead despite the fact that he knew the plane was 50 miles out... 30 miles out... 10 miles out... should we evacuate the building sir? Just the renovated part, except for that one guy that had the nerve to call me Dick the other day... we'll let him roast...

Lie–noun 1. a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.

You are therefore, of course, complicit in the coverup. I'll let you look up the hard words in that one yourself.

Washington Post Doesn't Answer Why No Bin Laden 9/11 Indictment
Whitewash piece seeks to dismiss questions about FBI most wanted page but doesn't address why embassy indictment took 3 months yet no 9/11 charge after 5 years

Paul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com | August 28 2006

A Washington Post article today attempts to refute and dismiss questions as to why the FBI's most wanted page for Osama bin Laden includes no apportion of blame for 9/11 - yet the Post fails to answer why there has been no formal indictment of bin Laden five years after 9/11 when it only took three months to charge him with the 1998 embassy bombings.

why this report now?

(these are comments I left on the RawStory page: http://tinyurl.com/nsjgl )

What's curious is that the Wash. Post published this article today. Why bother? It's not news. Nothing has changed at the FBI listing for bin Laden, so why the article?

And, of course, there are blatant lies right up front (as others have noted above): Exhaustive government and independent investigations have concluded otherwise, of course, and bin Laden and other al-Qaeda leaders have proudly taken responsibility for the hijackings.

Oh really? Only if you believe the stories the Washington Post dutifully spewed forth after being told by the government what the spin on 9/11 would be. There's NO EVIDENCE. What, you believe that "fatty bin Laden confession" video? Wake up.

http://tinyurl.com/qy4r6

And, that's the SUM TOTAL of the government's "proof" that Osama and 19 hijackers did it. Get real.

I think its damage control,

I think its damage control, as weak as it is. I think people in MSM now realize that the government's story really doesn't have that much backing it up. Everyone in MSM is just digging in with the official story and that's it.

probably

Yeah, it's probably damage control. But, after all the 9/11 truth exposure people have had, one would think this could easily backfire on the Washington Post. As soon as they talk about "exhaustive" investigations, just about ANYONE is going to know the article is a joke.

yeah you are right,

the exhaustive investigations is a really weak line, especially after the Washington Post earlier this month published the story about the Commissioners being lied to by the Pentagon during their investigation. Maybe they got a whole bunch of complaints from administration supporters wanting to know why the FBI doesn't have Bin Laden on 9/11, because we have done a good job promoting that story on the 'net. They probably felt they had to get some story out explaining it before the anniversary got around, or the calls would have gotten louder, "Why, 5 years out, is the FBI not looking for Bin Laden for 9/11?" etc.
