Just What Was Cheney Doing on the Morning of 9/11?

In this hour-long lecture recorded at the Arizona 9/11 Accountability Conference on February 25th, 2007, researcher Peter Dale Scott presents a host of contradicting accounts describing the actions of Vice President Cheney on the morning of 9/11, and how the 9/11 Commission cherry-picked its way through this minefield of contradictions, including contradictions by the Vice President himself!

Scott points out timeline gaps where simultaneously, Cheney & Rumsfeld can't be accounted for, and suggests that it is no coincidence that these old Cold Warriors were nowhere to be seen at a critical juncture on that morning. Rather, it's probable that they were discussing a variety of things, including highly classified procedures dealing with Continuity of Government and that this has been the springboard for the assault on the Constitution, and the roll-out of macabre plans like the establishment of KBR detention camps that go without comment or scrutiny by the Congress.

Scott calls for the questioning of Cheney under oath regarding his actions on the morning of 9/11, and suggests that this could lead to his impeachment.

NOTE: Scott refers to the Payne Stewart case as an example of prompt NORAD action prior to 9/11. Since the lecture, Scott has been made aware of the NTSB report that suggests a much longer intercept time than is commonly thought.

(If you like this lecture, be sure to watch this one: JFK & 9/11: Insights Gained From Studying Both.)

I hope...

Everyone takes the time to watch this enlightening speech.

In regards to Payne Stewart, I thought it was decided that the Time Zone meant nothing? That 19 minutes is 19 minutes for a supersonic jet regardless of whether or not a Time Zone is crossed?

Here is where it was discussed.

For instance, if the jet went into a Time Zone that was an hour behind, does that mean he got there in a negative time?

It's Not The Crime That Kills You, But The Cover-Up

19 minutes.

Jon, what is the primary citation for the "19 minute intercept"? All I can find is a reference to an ABC report in an article at Rense;

"In that legendary intercept, a fighter jet out of Tyndall, Florida was diverted from a training flight to escort the Lear, whose pilot had become incapacitated, trapping Stewart in the stratosphere. An F-16 was reportedly sitting off the left wingtip of Payne's pilotless business jet within 19 minutes of the FAA alert. [ABC News Oct25/99]"

There is not even a link to the original ABC article where this information apparently came from.

Is the alleged link to the original story...

It doesn't work anymore, but I remember vividly reading that particular ABC News story, and reading the 19 minute claim.

It's Not The Crime That Kills You, But The Cover-Up

Here is the internet archive version.

This was crawled in August, 2000, and there is no 19 minute reference, so I guess this not the report.

I have no idea which report it was... but I do remember being able to read the story at one time on abcnews... I wish I, or someone else, had archived the report. The 19 minute reference is listed on septembereleventh.org as well...

In that legendary intercept, a fighter jet out of Tyndall, Florida was diverted from a training flight to escort the Lear, whose pilot had become incapacitated, trapping Stewart in the stratosphere. An F-16 was reportedly sitting off the left wingtip of Payne's pilotless business jet within 19 minutes of the FAA alert. [ABC News, Oct 25, 1999]

I found this reference:

Instead, according to an Air Force timeline, a series of military planes provided an emergency escort to the stricken Lear, beginning with a pair of F-16 Falcons from the Air National Guard at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., about 20 minutes after ground controllers lost contact.

As the NORAD guy told me...

An F-15, with a top speed of 1,800 mph could intercept an aircraft 600 miles away flying parallel to where the fighter took off in 20+ minutes or so, now if the "target" aircraft is flying at 600 mph and heading toward the place where the fighter took off then the intercept would be at the 400 mile mark and would likely take only 13 minutes or so--theoretically, depending on winds and weather, etc...

I dunno reprehensor... 19 minutes seems a helluva lot more accurate than 1hr and 19min.

I am suspecting that ABCNews, and Knight Ridder were either told 19-20 minutes by the Air Force, or were given an Air Force timeline chart that said 19-20 minutes.

It's Not The Crime That Kills You, But The Cover-Up

Peter Dale Scott is a treasure

Wasn't he the first to document CIA's involvement in drug trafficking? Anything he writes and says is worthwhile. He has a new book coming out this September, "The Road to 9/11: Wealth, Empire, and the Future of America".

Thanks, Reprehensor, for getting out this speech!

Yeah, The 'debunkers' & lap-dogs aren't too bright.

I was once debating this topic & tried to explain it like this. I live two hours drive from Chicago, Illinois & Chicago is an hour behind my time zone. So, If I leave my house at 3:00 & arrive in Chicago at 4:00 does that mean it only took me an hours drive? The person I was debating couldn't grasp this simple concept, as the majority of Sheeple can't. I just don't get it.

Edit: This is also a very interesting read.

"According to the Chairman, the air defense force was structured to
intercept the former Soviet Union's long-range bomber force if it
attacked over the North Pole. Since that threat has largely
disappeared, the United States no longer needs a dedicated
continental air defense force, and the force has refocused its
activity on the air sovereignty mission, concentrating on
intercepting drug smugglers. However, anti-drug smuggling activities
at some units and alert sites have been minimal and at others almost
nonexistent. **** Overall, during the past 4 years, NORAD's alert
fighters took off to intercept aircraft (referred to as scrambled)
1,518 times, or an average of 15 times per site per year. **** Of these
incidents, the number of suspected drug smuggling aircraft averaged
one per site, or less than 7 percent of all of the alert sites' total
activity.\3 The remaining activity generally involved visually
inspecting unidentified aircraft and assisting aircraft in distress.
Appendix I contains additional information on the scramble activity
at each air defense unit and alert site and on the continental air
defense and air sovereignty missions.

I think it's the opposite

The last contact took place at 9:33 EDT. At that time, it was 8:33 in the Central time zone.

The plane crossed into the Central time zone at 10:10 EDT, which was 9:10 CDT.

The intercept took place at 9:52 CDT. That is 1hour and 19 minutes after the last contact at 8:33 CDT.

You left your house at 2:00 CDT and arrived at 4:00 CDT. Or you left at 3:00 EDT and arrived at 5:00 EDT. That's two hours.

The time is at the point of intercept in the Central time zone. The intercept took place at 9:52 CDT, or 10:52 EDT. The failure to contact Payne's plane was at 9:33 EDT, or 8:33 CDT, or 7:33 MDT, or 6:33 PDT. There is only one point in time -- the time zone is just a way to relate the time to the sun.

Put the failure to contact and the intercept on Greenwich Mean Time, and you will find they were 1hour 19 minutes apart.

The news reports may have been mistaken.

Yes, and It's NOT possible for AA77 to have struck the Pentagon

for many reasons, including:

· Hani Hanjour could not have flown back 250 miles from Ohio to find & hit the Pentagon, (let alone the small, renovated wedge).

· Hanjour could not have made incredible maneuvers in a Boeing 757& fly 2 feet above the ground.

· A Boeing 757 can NOT make/disappear through a 16-foot initial impact hole. The airliner has a 125-foot wingspan & two huge steel/titanium engines that "disappeared" as did the 250 seats & the luggage.

· There is no way they could ID a planeload of people that slammed the Pentagon @ 530 mph, while the plane itself was supposedly obliterated. The fictitious DNA results were fabricated to bolster the official lie.

· 80 videos of whatever hit or blew-up the Pentagon are being withheld by the gov't for no reason. (The only videos released look like an A3 SkyWarrior!)

not to mention the credibility of

witnesses close to the alleged flight path of AA77. If it was travelling at 530 mph that would put its feet per second speed at 773.8 feet/sec. Can anyone look up and "clearly see an American Airlines Jet" based on seeing "markings/logos" on something very close to them (by their own words) travelling at 773.8 feet per second? Doesn't seem plausible, now does it?

Physics/Science/Mathematics do not lie, only people do.
9/11 was an INSIDE JOB

I couldn't believe this when I saw it.

Is this the security we are giving up our rights and freedoms for?

Homeland Security LOL! War on Terror LOL!

Keep Us Safe LOL!

Cheney and Rumsfeld aren't the only one who went AWOL

on 9/11. All of the Bush Top Offiicals went AWOL.

None of them reacted appropriately to the ongoing attack, even after they were informed that a plane had hit the WTC.

Bush arrived at Booker Elementary right before 9:00 AM. He found out about the attack while still in his limo. Yet, instead of driving straight to Sarasota Airport, he went ahead with his regular agenda.

Cheney was sitting in his office at the WH watching the attack on CNN. He did nothing until the SS came in and made him go to the bunker.

Condi Rice was also at the WH watching the attack in her office and did nothing until the SS took her to the bunker.

General Myers was in a meeting with Max Cleland. He saw the news of the first attack on a TV in Cleland's waiting room and went ahead with his meeting anyway. By the time Myers came out, the Pentagon had been attacked.

George Tenet was 3 blocks from the WH, eating breakfast at the St. Regis. He recieved a phone call at his table that the WTC had been attacked. Instead of going to the WH bunker, he drove in DC morning traffic to CIA headquarters in Langley VA.

Rudy Giuliani and Bernie Kerik ran around lower Manhattan finally ending up in an undisclosed location at 75 Barclay Street. Rudy did not appear on TV until after the 2nd Tower fell.

Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz were in a meeting at the Pentagon, when Tori Clark interupted them with news of the first attack. Rummie and Wolfie turned on the TV to watch, but didn't think there was anything they should do, so they continued with their meeting.

Everyone else in the world went nuts when they heard the news, except for Bush's people. They all sat around on their hands until the attack was over.

Brilliant Work

by a great analytical thinker.

I can't wait for his upcoming book.

Who's going to save us....

...from the eVil Dick Cheney?

Scott calls for the questioning of Cheney under oath regarding his actions on the morning of 9/11, and suggests that this could lead to his impeachment.

Impeachment? By whom? Democrats?

Their own dirty laundry has rendered them impotent.

"But truthfully, I don't really know. We've had trouble getting a handle on Building No. 7."
~~ Dr. Shyam Sunder - Acting Director Building and Fire Research Laboratory (NIST)

Impeachment? Oh come on

Impeachment? Oh come on ...

I'm thinkin' more of that sound that weaved hemp makes when grinding against a branch under heavy weight.
Global Warming is the biggest scam to infect the planet.
Global Warming = Global Tax = Global Police = TOTAL CONTROL

Their goal is a ONE WORLD DICTATORSHIP. COMMUNIST or FASCIST it matters not.

The Quote of the Day

Unquestionably, this is required viewing... in full.

I thought the quote of the day was from his opening statement:

"The more status someone has in this society, the harder it is for them to listen to suggestions that there is something illegitimate about the power structure in which they have that status."

Ollie North - Continuity of Government

Aaaah, fascism.
