They have been ignoring and ridiculing 9/11 Truth and have now started actively fighting it in every way they can, but since one of the core realizations people come to when they embrace 9/11Truth is how absolutely corrupt and useless the MSM is, they have NO power over Truthers and thus will not be able to prevent the coming tsunami. Those elements of the MSM that continue to deny reality will simply be swept away by a public that demands a media that corresponds to the reality of their lives and not the censored and manufactured reality of the MSM and their corporate overlords.
As the irrational denial of the MSM grows the disconnect with the informed public grows until we reach the tipping point and the tsunami hits the beach.

*If the fires were raging so powerfully in the towers that they weakened steel, then how are people still standing in the hole the planes caused? People can't even get close to these kinds of temperatures. And also, why is there black smoke billowing from the holes? Black smoke = dying fire. Firefighter tapes also state that the fire can be knocked down with "two hand lines" before the building was incinerated.
*How could Building 7, which was the furthest WTC Building from the towers implode into its own footprint when the other buildings, which were much more damaged, didn't even come close to falling down? Why is it that the only buildings that fell were owned by Silverstein, who admits to pulling Building 7. And don't give me that firefighters crap...there were no firefighters in the building according to the 9/11 Commission report. And what kind of fire chief would call the building owner to discuss removing firemen? Why would Silverstein call the fire fighters "IT" and why would his next sentence be: "then we watched the building fall." HE ALREADY SAID "IT" AND THEN HE REFERS TO THE BUILDING!!! Why would pulling firefighters take down the building?

In the WTC towers we see ALL of these pieces of evidence and many more that show without ANY doubt that explosives were used.

An endemic crackdown on peaceful protest and dissent has continued with President Bush signing the 'Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act,'. Under the guise of protecting researchers, scientists and their staff who conduct experiments and tests on animals, the latest terror bill seeks to class as "terrorists" those who seek to protest against such activities.
"It's depressing to know that, just because of our beliefs involving animals, we are going to be branded terrorists if we protest," said Lori Nitzel, a Madison attorney and executive director of Alliance for Animals, a statewide group that pledges nonviolence.

Anyone interested in the very frightening expansion of the term "terrorist" should google for Portland coverage of "Schumacher Furs." Animal rights people have been determined and committed in exercising their right to peaceably assemble and speak freely outside this downtown business, and because the Schumachers have recently thrown in the towel and vowed to move out to the 'burbs (where public property -- ie the sidewalk -- is kept a safe distance away -- ie, out beyond the mall parking lot) the word "terrorist" is being thrown around with abandon. The alpha male Schumacher has made a point of it, and people writing letters to the editor in the Oregonian have taken up the practice as well.
If the time comes when dissidents are rounded up, expect that it will be the ones who are most unpopular first, to soften us up. For instance, I'm not a big fan of the animal rights people and consider them too extreme and often obnoxious, etc etc. At the same time, I will not countenance use of the word "terrorist" to describe anyone practicing non-violent free speech, because I know that meat-eating, leather-wearing 9/11 Truthers like me are undoubtedly also high on the list of people to be shut up.

You are absolutely correct, most people do not hate the American''s, they hate the foreign policy. I personally have many friends in the US and I visit regularly. Many Europeans and other holday there and appreciate the hospitality, but they question the reasons you would have the policies you have and in most cases do not agree with it. It is not about the individual it is the actions in the names of "the states" which I know well does not represent the opinions of the majority of people I have met and know personally.

True, and most people outside of the states, even Iraqi's, understand this. Hoffman's statement is very simplified, but, as you point out, runs the risk of becoming simplistic to the uninformed.
The unfortunate verbiage is a result of projection- the 'other' is demonized in US politics so much, it seems natural for even liberals to assume 'others' are demonizing them as individuals, instead of the actions of the nation state.

CNN shows Doubletree Video
I'm not sure if you have already seen this, but CNN just aired the Doubletree video. The video shows a grainy image of the explosion outside the Pentagon, from an angle that obscures any view of what actually hit the building. Therefore, new video but more of the same .... nothing new. Now how about showing some hi-res video produced by the Pentagon? That should clear this issue up.

It would be interesting to see how the neo-con and right wing media treat this statement by Dustin Hoffmann. If they slam him the same way that they denigrated Charlie Sheen, and the way they treated Keith Barrett, then it proves one thing:

It isn't much different than those who joined hands with the Civil Rights Movement. Even those people were branded as anarchists and un-American. It's only been a recent trend to see that part of American history re-framed as positive if you look at a typical high school history text.
Next time someone on the street, or at the office, or at a coffee house here's the evidence and asks, "Well, if what you're saying about 9/11 is true, then why doesn't the media talk about it?"
Then, say the answer is clear. There are consequences. There are risks. This is the jingoistic nature of our media. An exaggerated notion of what's truly "American" has superseded truth itself. They can't even report the unanswered questions of 9/11 without framing it with the usual terms "conspiracy" or "nut-case" or "wild theory," and so on. For anyone to question the official theory, which is political and not scientific, calls into question their patriotism, their sanity, and ultimately their reputation. But offer this quote from former punk rocker, Jello Biafra, "If man were afraid to be judged by his peers, we'd all still be living in caves."
