Anti-war icon Cindy Sheehan has gone public on her support for the 9/11 truth movement after she told a radio show that the collapse of the twin towers looked like a controlled demolition and that there should be a new investigation into the terrorist attacks.
Sheehan, who made headlines this week after she distanced herself from the Democratic party and the establishment left, joined Alex Jones to share her views on her skepticism towards the official 9/11 story.
Sheehan said her decision to desert the Democrats was sparked last week when the Iraq war funding bill was passed and it was at this point she realized the Democrats had co-opted her simply to help them regain Congress and that they had no interest in ending the war.
Sheehan attacked Hillary Clinton as a "warhawk and a "warmonger" and said there was very little distinction between her and John McCain or Rudy Giuliani.
On 9/11, Sheehan expressed her support for the Jersey Girl's petition, which calls for a new independent investigation of the terrorist attacks, slamming the 9/11 Commission Report as a "total travesty and a smokescreen."
"George Bush and Dick Cheney held hands and testified behind closed doors, not under oath," said Sheehan, adding, "There are many things that just don't add up on that day."
Sheehan questioned why U.S. air defenses were distracted by drills and exercises scheduled for the morning of 9/11 and why standard operating procedure for intercepting errant aircraft was not followed for the first and only time in history.
"When you lose control of an airplane, you intercept it with a military jet and that should only take seconds - from what I understand it's not even an order to do that it's mandatory," said Sheehan.
Speaking on the collapse of the twin towers, Sheehan stated, "It does look to me like a controlled demolition - I'm not an expert - but it does look to me like a controlled demolition - I'm looking at common sense."
"I do see some very high profile people saying it was an inside job," concluded Sheehan.

Let's hope that this will break the ice of the anti-war left in coming forward about 9/11. Anything to bolster the cause of the Victims' Families petition and ongoing fight for truth is helpful because it's still not widely known. We should ALWAYS align ourselves with the Families in calling for a new investigation!
I also think that as truth squads and others confront presidential candidates about whether or not they support the 9/11 families in their call for a new investigation, we will get some very interesting comments. "Do you believe that the American people and the Victims' families deserve answers to their many unanswered questions about what happened on 9/11?"
As the fact that Bin Laden's FBI Most Wanted page DOES NOT list 9/11, I think that more and more anti-war people will start to see the light: That not only was the Iraq War based on false pretenses, but the whole "war on terror" is based on a false flag. It would be fascinating to see the response if Cindy actually came out hardcore for 911 truth. Neocon response is a no-brainer ( "traitor", "nutcase" etc.) but what of the anti-war left? Would they embrace her or shun her? I vote for the latter. Cockburn and co. would ignore it like they did Chavez when he came onboard. Mainstream democrats? The Hillary crowd would use it as a (perceived) boost to their campaign. "See? Cindy's nuts. We shouldn't cut and run. Hillary was right". But perhaps the anti-war "base" would rebel against their "leaders".

Ray McGovern has indeed taken part in panels alongside 9/11 truthers for quite a while now--though he seems most comfortable leaving the critique of the official story to others. I've never heard him come out explicitly for inside job or even LIHOP. His attitude is generally supportive of questioning the official theory, but prefers to leave that to others while he argues more along the lines of: whatever is true, the way they've exploited 9/11 is plenty evil enough, all by itself, then goes on to detail all the other nefarious deeds of the neocons and how they've been scheming toward these goals back to the time of Reagan and the first Bush.
To this point I think he could be characterized as more of a friendly 'fellow-traveler' of the 9/11 Truth movement rather than a full-fledged 'member'.

Thanks for the explanation. Ray MC'd the discussion between 4 prominent 9/11 truthers like a year or 2 ago, didn't he? I can't remember the name of the event but I'm pretty sure DRG was one of the speakers. I think it was a 2 hour event altogether. I guess, considering that, it didn't occur to me that he was being evasive or shadowy on this issue.

Giuliani Heckled, Booed By 9/11 Family Members
We Are Change confronts former New York Mayor for second time on cover-up of crime scene, WTC collapse foreknowledge and desecration of victim's remains
9/11 family members, firefighters and members of the activist group We Are Change confronted Rudy Giuliani for a second time earlier this week, as the former New York Mayor refused to answer questions about his foreknowledge of the WTC collapse and the desecration of the victim's remains.
This extended footage picks up where media reports about Tuesday's confrontation with Giuliani left off, showing WeAreChange.org leader Luke Rudkowski educating the media about the former New York Mayor's criminal complicity in 9/11.
Fellow members Sabrina Rivera and Matt Lepacek also tell the press gaggle about how Giuliani mandated the scoop and dump policy which led to victim's remains being used to fill in potholes and also how the statement he had just given about having no forewarning of the collapse of the towers completely contradicted his previous statement to Peter Jennings made on 9/11.
WNBC later obtained the transcript from the Jennings interview and updated their story, clearly illustrating Giuliani's deceit.
The video then shows the We Are Change activists being hassled and told to leave the property by a man who refuses to identify himself, after which the group are followed by an NYPD vehicle.
Arriving at the second event Giuliani was scheduled to attend that day, we witness 9/11 victim's family members and firefighters protesting and giving media interviews about Giuliani's scoop and dump policy as well as his involvement in the criminal cover-up of the toxic air scandal, which has led to debilitating and terminal illnesses for many of the heroes who were the first responders on that day.
Giuliani then exits the building to the sound of boos, catcalls and shouts of "you're scum" from the We Are Change Group and the family members.
The group then approach Giuliani and ask him about Building 7 and the cover-up of the crime scene. Giuliani flashes his usual schoolboy smirk before stating "You're not gonna stop me from signing this autograph."
Giuliani's security thugs start pushing the group away as one states, "You just smile like the crap you are."
Giuliani is asked again why he refused to warn the firefighters that the towers were coming down when he had foreknowledge but quickly leaves, flanked by several of his goons. The group are again pushed and told to leave by Giuliani's security detail.
The We Are Change group have been on fire in the past few weeks, getting in the face of Larry Silverstein's security thugs, as well as globalists David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski. They have also recorded confrontations with Al Gore and John Edwards, both of which will be featured here in the next few days.

Cindy got me off my butt
Cindy Sheehan has been instrumental in getting me to pick up a sign and take it to the streets. I started researching 9/11 in Aug. '04, and I spent literally the next year reading everything I could find on the web until my eyes were bleary. I had to battle my own sense of denial during that time. I would say to myself: no they didn't, yes they did, no they couldn't, but they did.
I believe it was Aug., '05 and it was the first anniversary of Casey Sheehan's death in Iraq, and Moveon.org was organizing these candlelight vigils all over the country. Cindy wanted to meet with George Bush, and you could print out a Meet With Cindy sign from the website. I wanted to go, and my cousin called me about the same time I was about to call her. On the way over, in the car, I brought up the subject of 9/11 with her, which was extremely difficult for me to do at that point. She was one of the first people I tried to talk about this with. Every time I tried, my face would turn red and my voice would begin to shake. So afraid of what people would think of me. Anyway, she didn't buy it and I didn't push it. I was thankful just to be with someone from my extended family who felt strongly enough about the war to take the time to get out and take action.
I think I even had a few Deception Dollars in my pocket and whatever the 9/11 flyer or info card of the day was. I didn't give out a single one as I recall. It was a solemn and beautiful occasion, and it was the first time I ever stood on a corner with a group of strangers and felt like this was where I needed to be. Not long after that, the next candlelight vigil marked the milestone of 2000 dead in Iraq and I went down to the federal bldg. with the Bush Wanted poster I printed off the Internet. I wasn't quite sure how to bring 9/11 Truth into these demonstrations at first. With the candles and everything, I was somehow concerned about being disrespectful or something. I did pass out some cards that time though.
The next demonstration, which was either ANSWER or WCW, I went full-throttle 9/11 Truth and have been doing so ever since. 9/11 Truth has the power to end all wars by exposing false-flag terrorism. It has the power to end not just this war, but the next one. I have followed Cindy Sheehan's progression and, yes, been disappointed in her at times. But, anyone who can go from saying that 9/11 truthers are sucking the life out of the anti-war movement ... to becoming frustrated with that movement ... to "It does look to me like a controlled demolition" is okay in my book. Anyone who is not afraid to face the truth, even if it takes them a little while, are the people I want standing with me. We're all working for the same thing. Truth and justice, and an end to war. Thank you Cindy Sheehan.
