Sunrise Festival Info - 29th May to 1st June, 2008
East Anglia Truth (www.eastangliatruth.com), We Are Change UK (www.wearechange.org.uk) and the Make Wars History campaign (www.makewarshistory.co.uk) are joining forces to offer both an enlightening and motivational weekend of Truth at the Sunrise Festival - beginning on 29th May, 2008.
Taking a problem ----> solution based approach, the focus of our weekend's schedule will shift from identifying and exposing the myths that continue to be upheld by our corporate media and exploited by governments to further control us and manipulate our future, to presenting the necessary information and direction with which we can use the law and our collective power to truly make wars a thing of the past - and peace therefore a reality. During the festival we aim to build an exciting forum of interraction, education, creativity and motivation with our displays and a variety of film screenings and talks.
And in order to take the edge off of some hard issues, all are invited to relax with our group and guest speakers in the "Truth Lounge"..a comfortable, ambient environment designed to be conducive to thoughtful and empowering conversation. The only citeria for admission is an open mind, a want for peace, a thirst for truth!
Also, there'll be an opportunity to watch the remarkable "Elephant in the Room". Recently awarded London Independent Film Festival's "Best UK Documentary 2008" the film, as well as tracking the 9/11 Truth Movement in the UK and the US, gives a voice to those who have suffered the most from those dreadful attacks, from the families of the victims, the sick and dying 9/11 First Responders -- refused healthcare by the US government -- to the muslims in Britain whose identity has been demonised in the media via their coverage on the so-called "War on Terror." Dean Puckett, the filmmaker, will also be joing us to answer questions in relation to his journey while making this revealing documentary.

Ian R. Crane?
I've not watched the Ian Crane film you plan to show but couldn't you find something more credible...? look at this review of one of his talks:

Thanks for the comments, although:-
- We're not showing an "Ian Crane film".
- Whilst Ian has made a personal choice to broaden his horizons to cover wider issues he has for our programme agreed to do a basic, solid 7/7 & 9/11 presentation much like he was doing a few years ago.
- That 's not a "review" you've posted, and it relates to completely different subject matter - in particular, subject matter that is not relevant to what we are presenting. That said, Ian is scheduled to do one other talk elsewhere at the festival on Codex Alimentarius, a credible and extremely important topic i'm sure you will agree.
- Yes, we did try numerous other 9/11 speakers but this festival happens to be on a weekend during which they were all busy.
- The festival crowd is a generally an intelligent and open minded one who will deal with the information put to them. Given this will be 9/11 and 7/7 related information, we have no concerns. Luckily we won't have an audience that will look to find a way to discount eveything he says before he has spoken a word.

David Shayler is not alone in making completely sensationalist claims, which reinforce the “conspiracy theory stereotype”. An individual named Ian Crane, the quote “Leader of the 9/11 Truth campaign for the UK and Ireland” manages to include;
His passion for “Crop Circles”, Princes Diana being assassinated because “she was tapping into her higher self’”. He also seems to insinuate that Diana was becoming the reincarnate of “Hypatia”, who was the “Liberian of the Library of Alexandria”. “They knew who she was” he says, while displaying pictures of both of them and pointing to the “resemblances”. He also “explains” how a race of Space Aliens called the “Anunnaki” created mankind, and that they come from the planet “Nibiru” or “Planet X”. This “Planet X”, according to Ian Cane, “is in are Solar System… and every 3600 years it comes back in very close orbit to the planets in our Solar System”.
When most people come across scepticism about the official 9/11 account, their knee-jerk reaction is often to think something along the lines of “Oh that’s just probably rubbish, ‘conspiracy theories’ are always about crazy things”. So it’s already an uphill battle for the majority of us in the 9/11 Truth Movement, who understand how important credibility is. People like David Shayler, Ian Crane and the individual who called in to the radio show, all dramatically increase the incline of that uphill struggle. And they do this by unfairly associating 9/11 Truth with the things that do otherwise justify the stereotype of “conspiracy theory”.

You're ignoring the main crux of my post.
And I have no time or inclination to argue this with you as i'm still frantically trying to prepare for a festival which i've been working on so solidly for 3 weeks and have personally spent a large amount of my own money on.
Think about it differently for a second. This is a festival. Thousands of open minded people will converge in a field a number of them decide to listen to a speaker they've never heard of regarding a subject they knew nothing about. They are struck by the information, go home and do more research. If they've taken on board the information (which will be strictly solid 7/7 and 9/11 facts) they will go home and search more on these topics -- not Ian Crane -- such is the impact of all of this. If they search Ian's name and come across other information, then so be it. If they discount all what they heard based on his other research, then something suggests to me that subconsciously they're probably looking for a way out anyway.
Things can't always be as perfect as we'd all like. I don't know if you have any experience in arranging events such as these but, in reality, you can't always get exactly what you want. Believe me, i've been trying as hard as anyone and credibility is at the very top of our priorities.
Many people will subsequently go away with a new understanding as a result of Ian's talk and our movement will be larger... only by a small amount, yes, but larger.
The alternative is that we could go with no speakers at all of course....
Jeez, I may have to reconsider posting events on blogger in the future if this is the sort of promotional help to expect.

Personally I wouldn't promote or support an event with him speaking at -- I'd rather see some unknown grass roots activists, like some of the We Are Change people talking than a "leader" like Ian Crane, a recent comment on him from another activist:
"I saw Ian Crane at the Chicago conference. He was expounding at breakfast about how the Jews have the diaspora which allows them to coordinate vast conspiracies."
2012 ‘false flag’ Alien Invasion
Look at what he is talking on later in June:
"Ian R. Crane will present the evidence which supports his hypothesis that the ‘last best hope for peace’ (a fake Alien Invasion) will be staged at the 2012 London Olympics, as the final act of the New World Order, in their attempt to establish a One World Government… or are the prospective perpetrators simply trying to create a diversion from something even more momentous?"
Promoting this guy seems like total madness to me... but I'll listen to his peak oil talk and the Visibility 9-11 interview with him from 2006 to see just how bad he is...

For your information, though, Ian is not a "leader" of the UK 9/11 Truth movement and has never been.
But let's leave it at that, heh. We disagree. You don't support our event, fine, but I don't think there's really a need to scour the web for more quotes that continue to ignore my point.
Please excuse me, I need to finish preparing for an event at which we're going to plant many more seeds and open hundreds of peoples eyes to the 9/11 Truth.
