Naval "National Center for Energetics" Records Of Pre-9/11 Nano-Energetic Materials Development, Nonexistent Or Destroyed

The Indian Head Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, (a branch of the Naval Sea Systems Command or NAVSEA), described in 1999 as the "national center for energetics"[1], "the only reliable source of aluminum nanopowders in the United States”[2] and in 2008 as "probably the most prominent US center for nano-thermite technology"[3], alleges via Freedom of Information Act replies that records "regarding research and development of nano-sized or Ultra Fine Grained (UFG) aluminum powders, nano-sized or Ultra Fine Grained (UFG) iron oxide powders or other metal oxide powders and Metastable Intermolecular Composites prior to 2002" do not exist. According to Indian Head, "research may have been conducted by Indian Head Division personnel but not submitted."

Records prior to 2002 of Indian Head's private sector partnerships regarding nano-sized energetic materials development and production, were reportedly destroyed per policy after seven years (or all such records prior to 2002).

Explosive, unreacted thermitic material containing nano-meter sized grains of intimately mixed aluminum and iron oxide, has recently been discovered in dust created by the collapses of the World Trade Center buildings on September 11, 2001.[4]

Evidence prior to 2002 of Indian Head's private sector partnerships regarding nano-sized energetic materials development and production exists.

December 2002:

"FY01 Technology Transfer Business Plan: IHDIV is considered the Navy’s Center of Excellence for Energetics development and has extensive expertise, capabilities, and information in energetics synthesis, formulation, and processing as well as in testing of energetic systems. IHDIV will transfer their knowledge of development and manufacturing energetics with respect to the use of TECHNANOGY produced nanoaluminum and supply TECHNANOGY with test data associated with the testing of TECHNANOGY nanoaluminum. TECHNANOGY is a leader in the production of nanoaluminum for use in energetic systems utilized for DoD purposes. To our knowledge, TECHNANOGY is the sole supplier of nanoaluminum for use in pilot scale processing. TECHNANOGY will share their material and knowledge of nanoaluminum processing subject to the terms and conditions of this CRADA. (cooperative research and development agreement)."

Aidan probably makes some people sweat...Great Work!

I wonder what the freight/shipping criteria is for such substances. ...What freight companies handled shipments. Manifests.
On 7/11 an event about 9/11 - http://www.711911.webs.com/

So the gist of all of that is..........

that only one company at the time of 2001 was capable
of making nano aluminum that would be used in
nanothermite.
And the records about any of that do not exist now,
having been destroyed or something.

Is that what I am to get out of all of that?

Sorry, I can be dense when I'm confronted with
government BS.

Rumsfeld's Naval connections

Following the trail of destroyed records may not lead to definite proofs, but it provides interesting leads for further investigation.
You can only wonder about the navel career of Rumsfeld. Did that give him valuable connections to this research center?

Just wondering.

Aidan Monaghan's Herculean Searches

I have just taken a look at the results of Aidan Monaghan's searches over the years. It is remarkable how many of the records requested were destroyed, were declared to be non-existent, or access to which was denied.

Another coincidence, I suppose.

By the by, this is my first comment. Hello everyone!

Hello...

... and welcome!

Hello Stone

and welcome.

I hope that you and yours are well.

When did you begin to question the government fable of 9/11 and what was it about the events of 9/11 that convinced you the government's conspiracy theory is false?

If you are not part of a local truth group, then I strongly encourage you to get connected with one. You should be able to connect with one through this site or over at truthaction.org.

Good to have you with us!

Start of My Skepticism

Hello LeftWright,

To answer your question, I think it began in 2004, when I saw Barrie Zwicker's video "The Great Conspiracy." That same year, I bought Michael Ruppert's book "Crossing the Rubicon" and David Griffin's "The New Pearl Harbor." I was very impressed by Griffin's book and wrote to him a couple of times, whereas I was not able to complete the reading of Ruppert's work owing to the poor quality of the writing and the gauche comments the author makes along the way -- which is not to say that I do not appreciate and acknowledge Ruppert's major contribution to exposing the deceptive, contradictory, and false character of the governmental version of what happened on 9/11. Since then, I believe I bought and watched all the major 9/11 videos (some I regret I purchased, such as "In Plane Site"), and read many books (another regret: the two copies I bought of "The Shell Game") and hundreds of articles on the matter, as well as innumerable blog entries on this site. I have sent dozens of 9/11 CDs to friends, even to friends in Europe.

I no longer find Griffin's account of what happened at the Pentagon convincing, and his treatment of the alleged phone calls made from the hijacked airplanes stretches my credulity. All the same, though, my respect for him has not diminished.

Richard Gage's account of the destruction of WTC 1, 2, and 7, which rests on the tremendous work of many minds, strikes me as the most fit for a court case. Isn't that, though, what the movement should aim at, a case that is, legally speaking, beyond a reasonable doubt and can stand in a court of law? For, as Jon Gold was pointing out the other day on this very site, the more time goes by, the more difficult it will be to bring to the light of day what exactly took place on September 11, 2001. Or am I wrong about that?

As for your suggestion, let me say that am in touch with another person in my town, and I make available videos and other materials to that person for public screenings and discussions. I cannot do more at this point, as I have too much other work.

Thank you for your reply

My activism also started around the same time (2004).

While I had some questions on the day of 9/11/01, especially regarding NORAD's complete failure and the lack of plane wreckage at the Pentagon, I was too busy raising two children to focus enough to realize the depth of the deception. It was not until a few years later when I saw video of WTC 7 going down that I knew that there was a serious problem with the government's account of that day. Having done extensive research into the Iran-Contra mess in the 1980's, I quickly realized some of the same people were involved and began my extensive research into the events of 9/11/01, which is ongoing today.

I did solo activism in my town for about a year until I hooked up with the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance at the Lifting the Fog event in Berkeley and have been working with them and the associated groups ever since.

We all do what we can and it sounds like you've found what works for you.

Crossing the Rubicon was the first 9/11 book I read and I would like to see it re-written and updated, but I doubt that Mr. Ruppert will ever do that. I'm a big fan of Dr. Griffin and have helped shoot video's of his lectures with 911tv.org, but he does sometimes go off on some tangents that may not always present the most credible case for 9/11 truth. I have no doubt that audio morphing technology exists and could have been used as part of the 9/11 operation, but this is speculation at this point.

I think that the movement's main purpose right now is still public education and supporting good research, and as we grow and more legal minds come on board, we can begin to focus on building a strong legal case. Until we have a created the political mandate for a new investigation I'm afraid that the courts will only frustrate any attempt at legal action, as the recent decision on the Saudi case illustrates.

I look forward to reading your comments here and I thank you for all your work in support of 9/11 truth.

Be well and enjoy the day!

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

Specifics on Griffin's Treatment of the Phone Calls

What is it about Griffin's account of the phone calls that you find unconvincing? I admit that the voice morphing is speculation, and it is presented as such if memory serves me. Maybe that was tactically unwise, but since Griffin made the well supported contention that the calls were not as advertised, he had to deal with the objections that people believed that they had been called

I am pretty sure that Griffin (and his researcher Elizabeth Woodworth) have drawn on the extensive unpublished work done by a local author and journalist of our acquaintance. In any case, the work documents the alleged calls, presenting some very interesting material on them. I read an early draft, and learned a great deal about the topic. The calls almost certainly did not happen the way people have been lead to believe. Even the FBI agrees. The book provides detail on the calls that Griffin did not, understandably, provide.

I will put in the caveat that I am only going from memory here on Griffin's sources, and on call details, but should be able to verify this from Elizabeth.

Regards

Unfortunately

debunkers are not the only ones who sometimes have problems dealing with inconvenient truth.

Some of the phone calls were certainly fake. This is fact. Unfortunately, as time goes by, it becomes near impossible to conduct an experiment in 2001-like conditions to establish feasibility of sustained high altitude high speed mobile phone calls from what amounts to an attenuating faraday cage. What we have now is the experiments by Dewdney

Nevertheless, at least Ted Olson's crap was exposed by the FBI.

Technanogy, Inc.

A case study in how to launder a company, disguise its history and lose any troubling documents.

Technanogy is the world's leading producer of high-quality, highly energetic ultra-pure aluminum powder at the nanoscale, made to explicit customer specifications. Based on technology developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and 10 years of research and development work with both the United States Department of Defense and the United States Department of Energy, Technanogy has perfected proprietary technologies to produce large volumes of quality nano-aluminum powder. Historically, nano-aluminum powder has only been available in research quantities. Now, Technanogy is capable of economically producing large amounts of very high quality nano-aluminum powder.

Technanogy's nano-aluminum powder is produced using a gas-phase condensation process and 99.99 % pure aluminum. The proprietary process, which allows for independent control of particle size and oxide thickness, produces fine spherical powders within a narrow particle size distribution.

Title:Neutralization Without Detonation of IEDs in the Field
Abstract:In this Phase I SBIR project for the DTRA, Energetics Materials and Products Inc (EMPI) of Austin, Texas, will develop an innovative technology to neutralize Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) without detonation or risk to personnel. Neither detonation nor defusing, the two methods currently available to neutralize IEDs, provide acceptable risk. Detonating the device is seldom practical in an urban area. Defusing the IED requires close approach to the IED and exposes personnel to considerable danger, including the possibility that an enemy observer may choose that moment to remotely detonate the device. The EMPI solution will provide a far superior approach - a long standoff technology that results in IED neutralization by deflagration without detonation. The proposed technology is based upon a class of energetic materials generally referred to as Metastable Intermolecular Composites or MIC. In Phase I, EMPI will address the sensitivity and aging issue of MIC materials by developing and testing a Binary-MIC formulation. The resulting material will be suitable for use in a ballistic projectile which, when fired at an IED, will neutralize it by thermal deflagration without detonation. In Phase II, the device will be further developed and tested for actual military operations. A Fast-Track application is anticipated.

Dr. Wilson is clearly well-connected to the defense establishment.

I do believe an interview with this man is in order.

Thanks Adain !

You're persistence in our quest for for the truth about 9/11 is impressive to say the very least. I have to laugh when i think how you must be making those really evolved sweat. Hopefully the truth will emerge soon.
You will be added to a distinguished list of real American hero's. Thanks Adain

P.S. Did you send this to Steven Jones , and company?

Dr Dennis Wilson Was UT Mechanical Eng Professor

I googled around and this is one interesting guy. Definitely warrants real sleuthing.

Thanks Aidan, you do great work.

This Reply Was Surprising

The federal government's "national center for energetics" apparently possesses no records of a major branch of their energetics research, just as the technology was emerging.

Only a few organizations were capable of creating nano-sized EM material components before 9/11.

SJ, KR, JG and co. are aware of this info.

Thanx all.

Great work, Aidan

"IHDIV will transfer their knowledge of development and manufacturing energetics with respect to the use of TECHNANOGY produced nanoaluminum and supply TECHNANOGY with test data associated with the testing of TECHNANOGY nanoaluminum."

Yet another case of taxpayer funded research and resources being privatized (the pharmaceutical industry is all about this; a large percentage of new drugs and treatments have their source in publicly-funded research)

And a convenient 'benefit' (for corrupt parties, anyway) is that corporations are not subject to FOIA- but can still control immense wealth, valuable resources, powerful technologies.

Their policy of destroying records may have always been 7 years, but it sure is convenient for those opposed to disclosure.

Controlled Demolition, Inc.

Pearls are made from annoyances

It would seem that CDI would hold a lisense to handle such material...would HAVE to. Being as they boast government projects,
they surely would have some sort of certification pre-9/11. When the supoenas are printed out, let's be sure to get Controlled Demolition, Inc. on the stand.

We need to get Kevin Ryan in on this.

Kevin Ryan, one of the scientists that published the paper "Active Thermitic Material found at the WTC catastrophe............" has shown an interest in finding out just which researchers were involved in making the nanothermite found in the dust samples.
Listen to the interview with Michael Wolsey on Visibility 911.

Have you...

Ever tried a FOIA for satellite imagery from on the morning of 9/11?

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Thanks Aidan! Remarkable

Thanks Aidan! Remarkable work. Jon, the US is not the only country with sat eyes on Manhattan that day.

Hmmm ...

Will have to explore that idea.

Thanx LN, GB and JP

Well looky looky...

...yet another smoking gun. It looks like Indian Head was(is) the only source of the nano particles found in the WTC dust. What more do We The People need to proceed with a REAL investigation and trial. 19 Arabs with box-cutters snuck into Indian Head labs and...oh forget it. We should all just go shopping and wait for the next one.
