Former Congressman and 2012 Presidential Candidate Ron Paul believes you deserve to know what’s in the 28 pages of the 9/11 report that have been classified since the report was issued in 2002.
Though criticism has come to those who are certain that we do not know the full story of what happened that fateful day, it is important for us to set aside the conjecture and come together on the principle that we must always seek the truth.
Members of Congress are pushing to bring the truth to light, and they need your support. Congressman Walter Jones (R-NC) and Congressman Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) introduced legislation at the end of 2013—H. Res. 428—to get the administration to reveal the redacted information from the 9/11 report.
You, as an American, deserve to know the information concealed in these 28 pages. And the only way to make that information public is to call on members of Congress to support H. Res. 428., which would make public those pages of the “Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001” report.

Sometimes they put a time span on classified information like that,
like 50 years or something.
I haven't heard anything about that.
It does make one wonder what they are "hiding".
I'm sure they will declassify the info (maybe) at a point when it
will do the least harm to people it could be used against, most probably
Bush and Cheney and others in the Bush administration.
I bet a lot of records that could have come in handy in a real
investigation have been destroyed, which is unfortunate.
It would be interesting to be alive in 50 years and see if anything
ever comes of all of this, or will it go down in history as yet another
Kennedy Assassination fiasco.

If the media had any integrity
they would push for this release until it happens. Anyone who has been following 9/11 coverage knows that the government has abused national security classification procedures to cover up corruption. We have seen this recently as President Obama is all too happy to let the CIA redact a Senate report that attempts to explain to the public the truth about the CIA's warped and ineffective torture program.
The truth is that the public has been treated like potential al Qaeda accomplices while high level US government officials are portrayed as above the fray. Why are the associations of high level government officials never up for review? Prince Bandar and President Bush smoked cigars only a couple of days after 9/11. What sort of media stands by and pretends that a torture program makes any sense at all when the person who ordered the implementation of such a program used the power of the Presidency to cover up Saudi links to 9/11? I have no idea as to the actual degree of Saudi involvement in 9/11. I do know that the Bush White House prevented the public from knowing what happened and the US media has never had the decency to get real answers. It's so easy for the media to take cheap shots at 9/11 truthers. Evidently it is much harder to do some real reporting on 9/11 that doesn't adhere to a propaganda playbook. Again if actual leads to the 9/11 plot were covered up by the White House then why does it make any sense to talk about a well intentioned torture program?
If the media had any integrity.......
If the (corporate) media had any integrity, and did their JOB, they would DEMAND that the official version of 9/11 be held to the equivalent standards of scientific rigor, evidence, transparency and journalistic impartiality that is (rightly) mandated on the part of independent researchers - namely those in the 9/11 Truth movement.
If the mainstream corporate media had done what SHOULD have been expected of them in a genuine free republic, then the official version of 9/11 would have been shot down in flames within a week, all over newspaper and magazine headlines, TV and radio news and the internet, and a number of high ranking officials names would be, without a shadow of doubt, facing serious criminal charges - accessory before the fact to mass murder being just one....
But no, as we all know, it did not happen like that, but instead - 180º in opposition. Our spineless, gutless, cowardly, complicit corporate media did a full Neville Chamberlain on us - they weaseled out, in the most absolute and treacherous dereliction of duty, to the extent that in their concerted effort to refuse to acknowledge and demand answers to the most pertinent, obvious and glaring questions, they instead effectively closed ranks and protected and harbored the most likely perpetrators of the acts which killed 3000 people on 9/11/2001.
It's not spinelessness
It's not spinelessness, gutlessness, or anything like that. They are looking after the interests of the oligarchy, of which they are an essential part. This vital truth is obscured by portraying them as 'spineless,' as it presumes that they have some inkling to be other than a propaganda machine for the ruling class, but simply lack the courage.
Likewise, we need to stop thinking of a 'free republic' as something that we currently have, that is in danger. Rather, it is something that we currently lack, that is still in need of being realized. I once heard somewhere that the greatest threat to democracy is the illusion that we currently have it. Part of this illusion is the myths that we were brought up with concerning the purpose of the major news media. We need to understand the media's 'job' in terms of what it is in practice, not according to the myths we were brought up with. A major part of that job is preventing the people from taking steps to realize the free republic that they and their ruling class patrons have denied us.
On the myth of the free press
Humans seek acceptance above all, avoiding behaviors that invite abandonment, shunning, isolation, embarrassment, and shame. Journalists want to be read, or watched, and depend heavily on their editors for exposure. They learn quickly what content succeeds and what does not. Write about the wrong thing and you will be out of a job. In turn, editors serve to please the media owners. We are sensitive creatures, constantly refining our behaviors lead to maximize our status among our peers. The biggest myth out there is that the manager / managed relationship is one of limited power, relating only to mundane aspects of the workplace. On 9/11, amazingly tight control within journalism was displayed, with massive lies promulgated in a carefully staged, make-believe show. A perfectly false storyline and script were presented with the intention to manage society's beliefs. I wish society would wake up to this propaganda machine.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking me about. 09/11/2001 researchers are as diverse of a group as you can find. I think it's a good thing. JohnnyMo's point about humans seeking acceptance above all is generally right on imho. We all generalize; it's either that or tldr.
