Last-Minute Pilots, Passengers, and Flight Attendants: The Unexplained Oddity of 9/11

In all the valuable research that has been conducted into 9/11, a significant detail has so far been mostly overlooked: An examination of news reports and other accounts reveals that a surprising proportion of the people on the four targeted planes had only been booked onto those flights at the last minute, often the day before or even the morning of September 11. Pilots on three of the four planes, more than half of all the flight attendants, and many passengers--including almost half those on Flight 93--were not originally booked to be on those flights.

It is difficult to dismiss all this evidence as mere coincidence. There must be specific reasons that we do not yet know about. For the truth to be uncovered will require further study by independent researchers, scrutiny by the press, and proper formal investigations of the 9/11 attacks.

Below is a summary of these latecomers to the four planes: American Airlines Flights 11 and 77, and United Airlines Flights 175 and 93.

REPLACEMENT PILOTS

The pilot at the controls of Flight 11--the first plane to hit the World Trade Center--before it was supposedly hijacked was John Ogonowski. However, as the Georgetown Record reported: "American Airlines Captain Walter Sorenson of Groveland was scheduled to fly Flight #11 on Sept. 11, 2001. He was disappointed when he was replaced by Captain John Ogonowski, who had seniority over Sorenson and requested to fly that day. ... The last-minute change of pilots ... spared Sorenson's wife Sarah the untimely loss of a young husband." [1] On Flight 77, which supposedly hit the Pentagon, the pilot and co-pilot were Charles Burlingame and David Charlebois. But, as the New York Times reported: "Bill Cheng, an American Airlines pilot who normally flies Flight 77, changed his plans in late August [2001] and applied for time off on Tuesday [September 11] so he could go camping. When another pilot signed up for the slot, Mr. Cheng's application was accepted." [2] Whether it was Burlingame or Charlebois that replaced him is unstated. And the pilot of Flight 93 was Jason Dahl. But according to the Denver Post: "Dahl piloted United Flight 93 on Sept. 11 because he asked to. At his request, [his wife] traded for the flight on their home computer. He'd wanted to get back to Ken-Caryl Valley sooner to start celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary. Days after the request, Dahl's terrorist-invaded plane took a nose dive in a Pennsylvania field." [3] Dahl took Flight 93 in exchange for a flight he'd been booked on later that month. [4]

UNSCHEDULED FLIGHT ATTENDANTS

Flight 11: There were nine flight attendants on American Airlines Flight 11 the morning of 9/11. At least four of them were not originally booked to be on this flight, but had recently been assigned to it. Barbara "Bobbi" Arestegui "was not scheduled to work Flight 11 that day but had accepted extra flights. She was saving up vacation to take a trip with her boyfriend to Vermont at the end of this month." [5] Jeffrey Collman "didn't normally work the Boston-to-Los Angeles route but made an exception to get vacation time at the end of the month." [6] Jean Roger was a relatively new flight attendant, and every third month was placed on a "standby" work list. On September 11, "Someone called in sick and she had to go." [7] And Sara Low also "was not originally scheduled to work the flight." [8]

Flight 175: There were seven flight attendants on this plane on 9/11, at least four of whom had only recently been assigned to it. Robert Fangman was a reserve attendant for Flight 175, and was on it by chance. He replaced Elise O'Kane, who'd been on the flight regularly for the previous six months. When she was signing up for her flights for the month, O'Kane entered an incorrect code into the computer, which scheduled her instead for flights from Boston to Denver. She later said "she had never made such an error in 16 years as a flight attendant." She had subsequently "made several attempts to switch onto the flight, but had computer problems." [9] Another original attendant was Elaine Lawrence. However, "because she was going on vacation, she traded shifts with her close friend, Amy Jarret." [10] Lauren Gurskis was also one of the original attendants. "In August of [2001], however, she switched assignments--trip-traded, as flight attendants call it--so that she could drive her son to his first day of kindergarten." According to the Boston Globe, Kathryn Laborie was most likely the attendant that replaced her. [11] One more of the original attendants, Barbara McFarland, had "decided to spend an extra day with her son," and so she "swapped shifts with another attendant." The name of this attendant is unstated. [12]

Flight 77: Of the four attendants on this plane, at least two were not originally scheduled to be on it. Michele Heidenberger regularly flew from Washington's Reagan National Airport to Dallas, but on 9/11 was unusually flying out of Dulles Airport on Flight 77. When Heidenberger phoned her friend Toni Knisley, an administrator at Reagan Airport, shortly before boarding her plane, Knisley was surprised, saying: "What are you doing at Dulles? Aren't you flying your regular turn to Dallas today?" Heidenberger explained: "I'm working Flight 77 to LA because I want to take time off in October to go to Italy with [my husband] and the kids." [13] Renee May was only assigned to Flight 77 during the morning of 9/11. American Airlines had earlier called another attendant, Lena Brown, and asked her to take the flight, but Brown said she would be unable to get to the airport in time. "Renee May, the next flight attendant on American Airlines' list, accepted." [14]

Flight 93: At least three of the five attendants on this flight were not originally booked to be on it. Sandra Bradshaw "liked working first class," but "was in economy because she'd picked up Flight 93 late in the planning." She had "switched flights with another attendant." [15] Wanda Green "had been scheduled to fly Sept. 13, but Green, who also worked as a real estate agent, realized she had to handle the closing of a home sale Sept. 13. She'd phoned her best friend, fellow flight attendant Donita Judge, who opened United's computerized schedule and shifted Green to the Sept. 11 flight." [16] Deborah Welsh "usually avoided early-morning flights," and "was not originally slated to be on Flight 93, but was assigned to the flight when she swapped shifts." [17]

It wasn't just pilots and flight attendants who'd joined the doomed flights late. A large number of the passengers had similarly not originally been booked on these aircraft.

LAST-MINUTE PASSENGERS

Flight 11: Alexander Filipov "originally held a ticket for a Delta flight, but switched at the last minute to American Flight 11." [18] Edmund Glazer had got a call from his company's home office in Los Angeles the night of September 10, asking for his help on a major project. "In his obliging way, Mr. Glazer boarded Flight 11 the next morning." [19] Pendyala Vamsikrishna "was to leave Boston on Sept. 10, but hadn't finished his job, and rescheduled for the following day on American Airlines Flight 11." [20] Brian Dale "was supposed to have flown Monday night. But the Warren, NJ, man instead opted to fly out Tuesday morning." [21] Peter Hashem "had been scheduled to take an earlier flight but postponed the trip in order to make time to attend his son's soccer game." [22] Robin Kaplan had also been scheduled to take an earlier flight, but "she would have had to get up too early, so she didn't." [23] David Angell and his wife Lynn "were on board [Flight 11], even though they had originally planned to take a later flight." [24] David Kovalcin "wasn't supposed to fly to California until later this week." But his company's managers "were looking for someone to leave on Tuesday to discuss a hardware problem with a supplier. He volunteered." [25] Christopher Mello had originally "planned to return home on a red-eye flight the next day." [26] And Kenneth Waldie "was supposed to leave Wednesday, but he got the flight the day before." [27]

Flight 175: Touri Bolourchi "was not supposed to be aboard Flight 175, but she decided to stay a few extra days in Boston to visit her daughter and two grandchildren." [28] Francis Grogan "was not originally booked on Flight 175, but overcrowding on his original flight bumped him." [29] Mark Bavis "was originally scheduled for the 11 a.m. departure but pushed it up a few hours." [30] And Daniel Brandhorst, Ronald Gamboa, and their adopted son David, "changed their flight plans so they could return to Los Angeles from Boston on Sept. 11." Brandhorst's mother had "thought her son was flying the previous night." [31]

Flight 77: Barbara Olson, who flew on Flight 77 on 9/11, was originally "scheduled to fly to Los Angeles on the night of Sept. 10," but "changed her schedule ... to be with her husband on the morning of his 61st birthday." [32] Barbara Edwards "had gone to Connecticut for a wedding and was supposed to return home Saturday [September 8]." But, "her friends talked her into staying with them so she took the flight that crashed into the Pentagon." [33] Vicki Yancey "had planned to leave Washington earlier, but ticketing problems delayed her departure." [34] After a vacation with their daughter, husband and wife Shuyin Yang and Yuguang Zheng were "scheduled to leave for China on September 10." But as they had only finished their vacation on September 9, their daughter "felt it might be a hassle for my parents [to] leave [in] just like a couple hours and to get on the plane. So, I have them to reschedule their flight ticket to September 11." [35] Dora Menchaca was in Washington for two days of meetings. "The meetings ended late Monday [September 10], a day earlier than expected." So, "The next morning, flying on standby, she caught an earlier-than-scheduled departure to California." [36] Ruben Ornedo was originally scheduled to fly two weeks after 9/11. But "during a lull in an extended Washington business trip he seized the chance to rush home for a day or two and see his wife." [37] One group of passengers on Flight 77 comprised eight individuals: three teachers and three 11-year-old students who had been selected to participate in a program at the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary near Santa Barbara, accompanied by two staff members of the National Geographic Society. According to a close friend of one of the teachers, Sarah Clark, "She was originally supposed to go to Florida, but two weeks [before 9/11] they changed it and told her she was going to California." [38]

There were likely more passengers who were only booked onto these flights at the last minute, but I have simply not yet come across the reports describing this. And it seems reasonable to assume there were even more of these late additions to the flights, where the details of these individuals' travel arrangements have so far gone unreported.

In the case of Flight 93, however, since the official story revolves around the heroism of the passengers who supposedly fought back against terrorists, we have the fortune that a lot more has been written about these individuals and how they came to be on that flight. What has been reported is extraordinary: Of the 33 passengers (excluding the four supposed hijackers), at least 16 had only recently been booked onto the plane. Some only joined it early in the morning of September 11.

Flight 93: Environmental lawyer Alan Beaven arranged to take Flight 93 on 9/11 the day before, as he was duty-bound to go to San Francisco to help settle a case after talks had just broken down. [39] "Normally," passenger Todd Beamer "would have left [for San Francisco] the night before." But on September 10 he had returned from a trip to Italy and wanted some time with his children before flying out. [40] Edward Felt "was on a last-minute business trip to San Francisco." [41] Sisters-in-law Patricia Cushing and Jane Folger had "moved up the time of their flight" in the days before 9/11. [42] Mark Bingham "had missed his plane the day before because of a hangover from a friend's birthday party." [43] Jeremy Glick "was supposed to leave Monday night, but there were problems at the airport: He decided to wait 'til Tuesday morning." [44] Nicole Miller's "Monday night ... flight back to the Bay Area was canceled due to weather. Miller re-booked on a flight the next morning." [45] Lou Nacke "only booked his seat the night before. He had a customer on the coast with an inventory problem and offered to fly out first thing Tuesday morning to fix it." [46] When she'd checked in at the airport on September 11, Georgine Corrigan switched to Flight 93, as it was non-stop, whereas her original plane would be making two stops on the way to San Francisco. [47]

A number of the Flight 93 passengers were originally booked on United Airlines Flight 91, scheduled to depart 1 hour 20 minutes after Flight 93, at 9:20 a.m. Deora Bodley "was supposed to take United Flight 91, but decided the night before to take one an hour earlier so she could get home sooner to her family and boyfriend." [48] Christine Snyder "called to check on her flight, Flight 91," early in the morning of September 11, and "moved up to Flight 93 for an earlier start." [49] Lauren Grandcolas "had been scheduled for United 91, but her car service had arrived at the airport early." [50] Husband and wife Donald and Jean Peterson "arrived at the airport early for United Flight 91 ... so they switched to Flight 93." [51] Tom Burnett, according to author Jere Longman, "had changed his plans. ... He would be leaving at 8 a.m. instead of taking Flight 91." (The San Francisco Chronicle said, however, that he'd originally been booked on a Delta Airlines flight that afternoon.) [52]

Coincidences...?

Reality truly is stranger than fiction. I am reminded of this fact every time I go back and re-read Operation Northwoods. When I read things like "We could sink a boatload of Cubans enroute to Florida (real or simulated)", or "An F-86 properly painted would convince air passengers that they saw a Cuban MIG, especially if the pilot of the transport were to announce such fact", and "the transmission will be interrupted by destruction of the aircraft which will be triggered by radio signal.", this all reminds me that anything is possible and to always keep an open mind with reason.
A good question to ask to those new to the truth is, 'If it is a proven fact that our own government planned to kill and lie to gain public approval for war in 1962, what makes you think they wouldn't do the same now?'.

Great researching and sourcing BTW, thanks for this.

Switches over Airports?

One thing I noticed awhile back was how several (all?) of the flights made significant changes of direction, according to the released flight paths, OVER AIRPORTS....did they switch the planes for drones at this time?...in light of Operation Northwoods, it makes one wonder...

Maybe someone should study this aspect of that day, as well?

9/11 Truth ends the 9/11 Wars

It has been, and continues to be, studied extensively

I'm sure if any new information along this area of inquiry is uncovered, it will be here at 911Blogger within hours.

I hope that you and yours are well.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

2 of the flights crossed paths.....

....almost simultaneously over a private airport in NY state, as I recall....

Were they possibly switched for drones, a la Operation Northwoods, there?

Best wishes as well, and thank you for your posts.

9/11 Truth ends the 9/11 Wars

Any plane switching is more likely to have happened

in the documented radar "holes" that the planes flew through. Too many eyes at most airports, although anything is possible with the data we have at present.

I make signs and have a jacket that says 9/11 Truth ends the 9/11 Wars. It is one of my favorite slogans.

Regarding the possibility of "drones" and "switching".....yeah, it 's highly speculative on my part.....but still, that changing of direction over airports makes you wonder......

9/11 Truth ends the 9/11 Wars

Statistics?

I think that to make any kind of convincing argument about these strange oddities, we'd need to get an understanding on what are the average number of last-minute passengers or changes in staffing on these kinds of flights, and a standard deviation, so that we could make the case for how unlikely this is that it's just coincidence. If this level of last-minute booking is only slightly unusual, then there's not much you can do with it. If it's extremely unusual, say less than a one-in-a-million chance that so many passengers and crew were last minute, then we have something to get people's attention.

One point that strikes me as odd is that these last-minute passengers must have either replaced existing passengers, or the seats were unsold to begin with. Each of those possibilities can lead you down different paths.

I agree, with people waiting

I agree, with people waiting on standby lists, etc, its possible there is a high turnover pf passengers on flights, so some historical statistics need to be dug up to support these claims.

Abnormally low occupancy

of the four 9/11 flights is a stronger point in my opinion. These flights were all less than 30% occupied, whereas the average occupancy rate was 70%+ for these airlines. So what are the odds that ALL FOUR would have such low passenger numbers?

Edit: Here are the actual passenger load statistics:

AA 11 Capacity: 255 ( Passengers: 92 ) %Full: 36%
UA 175 Capacity: 255 ( Passengers: 65 ) %Full: 25%
AA 77 Capacity: 239 (Passengers: 64 ) %Full: 27%
UA 93 Capacity: 239 ( Passengers: 44 ) %Full: 19%

Total Capacity: = 988
Total Passengers= 266
Average % full= 27%

If this was the only characteristic that was similiar

then statistically it might not be that significant.

However, when you combine that with a couple of other similarities that the victims had in common, then it seems more likely that a number of the 'passengers' were actually part of the operation.

Here's a couple of other similarities that stand out.

On Flight 93, a number of the passengers, especially the Let's Roll Team, were white, men in their 30's, with black hair who were very athletic and physically fit and traveling for business . Most of them had switched or decided to fly at the last minute. Almost all of them were evangelical christians.

In the Pentagon, many of the victims were either new in their jobs or ready to retire within the year. Many of them were evangelical christians.

At least 3 or the 4 planes (I'm still researching this) had passengers that were also former military pilots. For example on Flight 77, passenger retired Rear Admiral Wilson Falor Flagg was also a pilot for American Airlines. Oh did I mention, he's an evangelical too.

I know people will be upset by what I am insinuating here, but I've got a lot of research to back up my suspicions. After awhile stuff like this goes beyond just another coincidence.

Do you mean research

into the possibility that zionists aimed for christians particularly? If so,
is it available somewhere to study?

Christians can be Zionists too

I think DoYouEverWonder's point is that perhaps part of the whole conspiracy was to have volunteer dispensationalists (Protestant-Christian Zionists) assigned to seats in those jetliners.

If that was true, it leaves open two intriguing alternatives:

1) These dispensationalists willingly sacrificed their lives for the good of their cause (in this case meaning to help facilitate 9/11 events which would then be used to justify U.S. invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan); or

2) They were secretly spirited away without actually being in the 9/11 crashes, perhaps later to have identity reassignment (a la the FBI's witness protection program).

Yes, members of both groups can be religious zealots

or should we say 'radical extremists'.

I do believe that both of your alternatives were at play on 9/11.

There were a number of people on the planes and at the WTC and the Pentagon were 'willing' victims. People who, whether or not they knew in advance exactly what was going to happen, would be glad to be among the first to die or raptured for the cause.

Then there were the operatives, who became 'survivors' of the attacks, whose stories were covered in great detail by the M$M within the first few days of the attack. When you trace back these stories, that quickly became part of the official myth, you'll usually find a fundie behind it. For example, George Sleigh who was in WTC 1 when it was hit, claimed to have seen the plane coming in, and that he saw people inside the cockpit and that the landing gear was down. When it became apparent that he couldn't have possibly seen both the people and the landing gear, he changed his story and now claims he never said he saw the landing gear and that the M$M misquoted him. Mr. Sleigh has since retired and is a speaker on the Christian Speech Circuit.

Here's a link

to the thread where I've been posting the data that I've collected in regards to fundie christians and the role they may have played on 9/11.

http://www.progressiveindependent.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=...

No I don't think Israeli zionists aimed for christians, I think they collaborated with them in order to wage their 'War of the 21st Century'.

Evangelical Christians are often Zionist allies

if not Zionists themselves. To think that they were "targeted" because of their religious affiliation is kinda silly -- that only happens to Muslims ;) (Is that what you're insinuating?)

I think what might be more likely is a war game scenario that passengers and pilots had been persuaded to take part in. As for the Pentagon folks, who knows? What does "many" mean compared to the population as a whole?

Dunno about "often"...

But certainly, some of the biggest evangelical leaders in the US, like John Hagee, are undoubtedly Zionist, and his flock goes with the flow. He is a regular at AIPAC conventions, as are the Clintons, Obama and McCain.

The irony of course, is that they only plan to be "allies" until Jesus Christ comes back, and then the Jewish people will be forced to convert to Christianity. (I admit this is a pretty condensed version of the "Left Behind" scenario, but that's it in a nutshell).

I agree that "often" is like "many"

but I think you will find that the vast majority of Evangelical Christians consider Israel one of the US most important allies and support its right to exist. That's mainstream Evangelical Christianity. Whether or not they subscribe to the full-on "Left Behind" scenario (which is pretty horrifying) is another issue.

Very impressive research.

DW's comments and others are germane. Thank you for you meticulous work.

and I wonder why anybody would have voted this down?,......

"There are none so hoplessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free." (Goethe)

Great Rundown. Great Post.

One of my favorite part of Loose Change: Final Cut was when they went into the passengers on the airlines and revealed that many of them were defense contractors etc. etc. I'm not saying it proved anything, but it was interesting and something the Truth movement should know as much about as possible. Who Killed John O'Neill? Huh?

It is captivating research...

There seems to be something there? It's hard to infer what went on with a "rush?" to assemble passenger lists on underbooked flights at that? It's suspicious and deserves more attention. This piece shows discipline in attempting to find out. Great Stuff.

It's great to see some online detective work, it's okay to float theories. The participants are, at least, still thinking. It's pretty sad how the public has accepted the OCT!

I'm leaning more to an Operation Northwoods scenario where these flights were replaced and the passengers sent somewhere else. I've come across podcasts where it's related pilots have witnessed flights with alarmed military men shackled in their seats? It's strongly implied these were dissidents being dealt with harshly. You have to consider it when you have a country with GITMO and the Military Commissions ACT of 2006.

The Raytheon posts are somewhat alarming since it would likely point to disposing of possible expert sources ? They may have simply knew too much and wouldn't tow the line, so someone wanted them removed?

On the other hand, the Evangelical Christian Left Behind theory is something I've not considered. It mertis attention since, it seems, they are overrepresented? Does that mean they were sent underground to further serve the cause?

I lean in the direction the passenger lists represent people who were either dissidents or simply privy to too much highly sensitive information.

I'd like to see more on this issue.

...don't believe them!

Pilots wanted to be taken off 9/11 flights

One thing I find very curious is that two of the pilots who specifically requested to fly on 9/11 subsequently tried to get taken off those flights. Flight 11 pilot John Ogonowski reportedly "didn't want to fly on September 11th." On the night of September 10, his wife Peggy told a colleague that John had "got the final word that he has to fly tomorrow. He can't switch." And Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl sent out an e-mail the week before 9/11 looking for someone to take his place on that flight.

Something to keep in mind is that there is a good chance there were more people than I've so far found who only booked onto the four flights at the last minute. Very little, if anything, has been written about some of the people on the planes. So one task for investigators could be to examine all the people on the four flights, and find out exactly how many of them only booked onto those flights very shortly before 9/11.

Didn't AA77 have a significant number of Raytheon employees

on it?

I've always wanted to follow up on that as it struck me as particularly noteworthy.

Just one more thing to research.

Good work, Shoestring, thanks!

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

Raytheon lost 4 employees on 9/11

but I think one was in the WTC and another was on Flight 11.

Stanley Hall, Raytheon's 'dean' of electronic warfare was on Flight 77.

---------------------
Stanley Hall, 68, of Clifton, Va., was "our dean of electronic warfare," said a colleague at Raytheon, a defense contractor. Hall, director of program management for Raytheon Electronics Warfare, helped develop and build anti-radar technology. He was quiet, competent and something of a father figure. "We have a lot of young engineers who looked up to him as a mentor," Raytheon spokesman Ron Colman said. He leaves a wife, a son and two daughters.

---------------------

Stan Hall, 68, was on board the American Airlines Flight 77, Tuesday, September 11, that crashed into the Pentagon. He was born in Arlington, Virginia, and attended Washington Lee High School. In 1953, Stan was drafted into the Army and served for two years during the Korean War. He graduated from George Washington University with a Bacheolor in Engineering in 1959 and a Masters from Drexell University in 1963.

Stan was an active member of the South Bay Church of God for 11½ years. He was a Sunday School teacher and on the Board of Trustees.

He left his home in Rancho Palos Verdes six years ago to work at Raytheon's Washington DC facility, where he was director of program management. He was on his way to the company's operations in Goleta.

Stan, a 17 year veteran of the company formerly known as Hughes, helped develop and build anti-radar technology.

"He was our 'dean' of electronic warfare, and his objective was always to the protection of the American servicemen," colleaques remembered.

Oh did I mention, Mr. Hall was an evangelical christian.

Correction - make that 4 Raytheon Employees on the planes

Plus one more who probably worked for Raytheon, makes it 5.

September 25, 2001: Several 9/11 Passengers Have Possible Connections to Pilotless Aircraft Program
Edit event

As details of the passengers on the four hijacked flights emerge, some are shown to have curious connections to the defense company Raytheon, and possibly its Global Hawk pilotless aircraft program.

1. Stanley Hall (Flight 77) was director of program management for Raytheon Electronics Warfare. One Raytheon colleague calls him “our dean of electronic warfare.” [Associated Press, 9/25/2001]

2. Peter Gay (Flight 11) was Raytheon’s vice president of operations for Electronic Systems and had been on special assignment to a company office in El Segundo, California. [Associated Press, 9/25/2001] Raytheon’s El Segundo’s Electronic Systems division is one of two divisions making the Global Hawk. [Intelligence Surveillance Reconaissance Journal, 3/2002]

3. Kenneth Waldie (Flight 11) was a senior quality control engineer for Raytheon’s electronic systems.

4. David Kovalcin (Flight 11) was a senior mechanical engineer for Raytheon’s electronic systems. [CNN, 9/2001] Herbert Homer (Flight 175) was a corporate executive working with the Department of Defense. [CNN, 9/2001; Northeastern University Voice, 12/11/2001]

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/context.jsp?item=a092501globalhawk
---------------------

Herbert Homer was on United Airlines Flight 175, from Boston, Massachusetts, to Los Angeles, California. Herbert Homer, as described "..worked for Raytheon Co." was the DCE CACO under DCMC Commander - Col. Bryon Young of the RSC Corporate Management (Raytheon)

---------------------

There were no Raytheon victims working in the WTC. I misread one of the deaths to be 'at the WTC' when I should have read, 'on Flight 11, which hit the WTC.' However, Raytheon did have offices in WTC 1 on the 91st Floor! The impact zone was between the 94th Floor - 97th Floor. But according to the NIST report, WTC 1 failed at the 92nd floor. This would have put Raytheon directly below the floor that failed first. They would have had direct access to the floor above.

Possible addition to the OP

I may have an addition to the list:

http://256.com/gray/thoughts/2001/20010912/delta_flight_1989_9_11/travel...

It's an personal account, sent to friends and family by email, by someone who ended up on Delta 1989, the plane that got grounded in Cleveland on suspicion of a bomb on board.

(The website is run by a friend of hers, not herself. The website owner strongly supports the official storyline.)

Two quotes are particularly interesting:

"When our company made the travel arrangements for our trip to LA two months ago, [my spouse] told the staff to book us on the American flight 11, the flight we usually take to LA, but in the day it took for the travel agent to get back to us, the price of the flight had gone up several hundred dollars, and for economic reasons only, [my spouse] instructed the staff to look for a less expensive flight. Fortunately, Delta Airlines had a lower fare."

and later:

"I can't tell you how many people on our flight had a similar story. One woman on our flight was an employee of TJ Maxx, and her 15 or so co-workers were on the American flight. She had been furious that her employer wouldn't let her fly with the others because the price of the flight had gone up so much before she booked it. That is how she ended up on our Delta flight."

My question: How usual / unusual is it for air fares to be raised by "several hundred dollars" days before the flight? What's the significance, if any?

Probably significant

The fare rose by several hundred dollars, yet the flight was underbooked!

This would be relatively easy to investigate/document

if anyone is so inclined.

My experience has been that prices are stable until about six weeks before a flight (depends of the route, of course) and then they start jumping up pretty quick. If these jumps started before 45 days prior to the flights, there very may well be something there. A simple statistical analysis would show this.

It makes perfect sense to use ticket price manipulation to artificially suppress plane occupancy for the flights programmed for use in the 9/11 operation.

One more reason to have a new and complete investigation.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

John Judge's Flight 77 phantom stewardess

Out of all of these people, I find the most odd and infamous of them all to be relegated to obscurity, and never mentioned within any grouping of all the people that worked those flights that day for the airlines. She just happens to be a flight attendant for American Airlines, and to regularly fly the route flown by Flight 77 that fateful day, but again just happened to have taken that particular day off so that she survived and now has insider information, unavailable to anyone else, that Flight 77 really did crash into the Pentagon that day. She is also a dear friend and fellow conspiracy researcher of one of Washington, DeCeit's most prolific investigative journalists, whistleblower, conspiracy researcher and upholder of the official story within the truth movement, John Judge, who denounces anyone who dares question the veracity of the official story.

John Judge has apparently created a fictional flight attendant, a supposedly dear Irish friend of his who was contacted by the government to come down to the Pentagon crash site because she, being a flight attendant, has some special high government security clearance that allows her to roam around the Pentagon, the world's most secure military installation, unfettered even though being a conspiracy researcher and friend of a very well known conspiracy researcher, pointing out that she recognized the plane parts within the building's carnage as being from her plane, after venturing inside the "crash" site identifying numerous parts. She mentioned she saw "charred human bones but not any flesh or full body parts." So the bodies were apparently reduced to charred bones, but the upholstery, carpet and drapes were, of course, still looking factory fresh. Who knew there was so much identifiable aircraft wreckage? Wreckage that was apparently never photographed and never shown to anyone other than John Judge's friend? Well, my friend says that it really did happen the way the government says, so it must be true.

In an earlier story about his phantom stewardess/researcher/crash expert/rescue worker friend, Judge claimed that his friend was also "shown autopsy photos of her fellow crew members, including the severed arm of her best friend at work, which she recognized from the bracelet she wore." She also mentions, " The crew of Flight 77 who died in the crash included her personal friend Renee May. She had spoken to Renee's mother after the crash, and Renee had used a cell phone to call her mother during the hijacking." As Dave McGowan points out in his article, "I have to confess here that I never realized how much access flight attendants have. I now find myself wondering what kind of access commercial pilots must have. I'm guessing they could probably sit in on the President's morning briefings if they really wanted to."

A few other notable statements made by Judge about his friend:
"Other American ground crew workers saw some of the suspects board American Airlines Flight 77 and recognized them from published photos ... My attendant friend knows and has put me in touch with other American Airlines employees and pilots who were at the site and took photographs. We are busy locating these, as well as another attendant who was at the site with her that day."

"My friend is therefore a credible and very knowledgeable eyewitness to the fact that American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. She has been vilified by those who refuse to believe the obvious ... My friend is herself a researcher for many years into government misdeeds and cover-ups. If she did not see the parts, she would say so. She has no reason to lie about it. Nor is she confused about what she saw. She is a professional and is used to looking at evidence."

"One employee saw the nose of the plane crash through her office wall."

You can read the full article of Dave McGowan's here where I pulled most of this info. He is a very overlooked resource of research into 9/11 for some reason, having done so from the beginning. http://www.davesweb.cnchost.com/nwsltr68e.html

You may also want to listen to a heated discussion a couple of friends of mine and I had with John Judge late one night at a DC bookstore, after he cornered my friend Erin, having started an argument with him on other related issues causing Erin to leave, with Lynne stepping in to take the reigns and challenge Judge on his absurd statements about 9/11. I held the recorder and rarely spoke, being of little help other than documenting Judge's obfuscation. Not bad for a chance meeting that night and getting him on record. Lynne did a great job of debating him, in the loud environment, where we drew quite the crowd for almost 2 hours.
http://www.archive.org/details/JohnJudgeInterventionAtKramerbooksInDc

After our encounter with Judge, he started pushing around a video of the skywaitress, stating it was a new video of her, through our dc911truth email group showing us that she was a real person, known only as "T Carter". The videos turn out to be of her discussions at his COPA 2002 conference, the Coalition on Political Assassination, where she gives no proof of her real identity nor whether or not she really worked for the airline, much less a pay stub and still won't to this date. He tells us that, "we just have to believe him." You can see her absurd story here down the right side of the page, where the caption of the video states, "T Carter was a regular stewardess on that flight and had witnessed one of the alleged hijackers doing a pre-911 test flight. She also has inside information on disinformation related to telephone calls associated with this flight.": http://www.parapolitics.info/copa/copa2002gallery/

As Dave states, "It sounds like the phantom stewardess has this case all wrapped up. She has, single-handedly, gathered more evidence that AA Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon than the entire federal government and all of its media mouthpieces combined. I, for one, am impressed. She has seen and positively identified wreckage of Flight 77. She has seen and positively identified the remains of actual humans who were supposed to be on the flight. She has seen the gaping entry wound. She has spoken to someone who can personally vouch for the hijacking story." Someone should have asked her, so we wouldn't have wasted so much time over these years researching all of this.
