It's not always easy to sort the trustworthy personalities from the snakes. I try to listen to as many people as I can, and rather than judge the personalities, I try to figure out which ideas make sense.
I like Barry Zwicker a lot. He's spoken about how to spot an agent, but he seems to have endorsed a few himself, in his book.
I've listened to several hours of Richard Andrew Grove talking. He's entertaining; yes, the pope does dress like a psilocybin mushroom! and hemp should be legal. I haven't seen Grove's opinion of Jones, but I would take it with a grain of salt. Jones has done some useful research.

This will be a monthly event on the eleventh day at 11am(est) at the Sydney Town Hall. We will then move to a near by venue for lunch and discussion at length.
We plan to form the first Australian Action Group on this day.
Please bring the necessary equipment ie: banners, camera's and relevant DVD's and reading material to distribute.

Have a look at what http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/ have done, down the right side of their page they've got audio endorsements from Gore Vidal, Randi Rhodes, Willy Rodriguez, Immortal Technique, Cynthia McKinney, Cindy Sheehan, Tim Robins, Noam Chomsky, Ed Asner and others.
We need to get Rosie and Charlie Sheen to endorse it, if they will do that it will help explode the Campaign no doubt. There's a ton of high-profile people who I'm sure will endorse it, I think video endorsements are more powerful and preferable like this one with Dr Jones, but audio ones would still work well if that's the most you can get from a few people.

Not exactly what I was hoping for when I asked him to say a few words about taking action but he just said what came to mind right on the spot and really I was glad that he took the oppurtunity to spread his anti-globalization message that he is really big on now - he's pretty much the only prominent person in the movement highlighting that crucial connection.
It's worth bearing in mind that it's a lot harder to boycott Wal-Mart in some parts of the country (or so I've heard) because there are fewer alternatives. I'm fortunate enough to live in a city where I need never set foot in a Wal-Mart for anything (and where, in fact, it would be LESS convenient to do so than not to do so.)
Edit: That is, the idea of NEVER shopping there as opposed to the idea of doing without beer (although there's a good chance he's down with the no-beer thing as well, wink wink, cough Mormon cough.)
