Reading the CFR Tea-Leaves
"By late 1918, stalemate on the Western Front and the entry of America into the war forced Germany and the Central Powers to accept Wilson's terms for peace. The subsequent Paris Peace Conference of 1919 resulted in the harsh Treaty of Versailles...
Attending the Paris peace conference were President Woodrow Wilson and his closest advisers, Colonel House, bankers Paul Warburg and Bernard Baruch, and almost two dozen members of "the Inquiry." The conference attendees embraced Wilson's plan for peace, including the formation of a League of Nations. However, under American law, the covenant had to be ratified by the U.S. Senate, which failed to do so, apparently distrusting any supernational organization.
Undaunted, Colonel House, along with both British and American peace conference delegates, met in Paris's Majestic Hotel on May 30, 1919, and resolved to form an "Institute of International Affairs," with one branch in the United States and one in England. The English branch became the Royal Institute of International Affairs. This institute was to guide public opinion toward acceptance of one-world government or globalism." (1)
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Returning to the 1919 meeting in Paris which led to the creation of the Council on Foreign Relations, it must be noted that the council was merely the American branch of a proposed "Institute of International Affairs." The English branch retained the original name, being known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA).
Like the CFR, creation of the institute was initiated by Woodrow Wilson's adviser Colonel House, bankers Warburg and Baruch, and other member's of House's "Inquiry" group of internationalists." (2)
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Carroll Quigley wrote a massive volume, Tragedy and Hope, which described New World Order plans. Quigley was not a defector; he agreed with the objectives of an Anglo-American New World Order. Where he parted company was that he believed this should be an open objective, not a closed secretive conspiracy.
So the Rhodes organization and the Royal Institute for International Affairs in London are essential parts of the New World Order. The RIIA spawned the Council on Foreign Relations in the United States, a broader-based but still limited organization with the same objectives. Our observation is that CFR has a wider range of views among its members, some even against New World Order, than does the Trilateral Commission or the RIIA." (3)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Once again, the oligarchic network that the CFR represents is voicing its displeasure at the Madness of King George. Back in February, Brzezinski went before the US Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations and delivered his ominous warning;
"A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq, or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a "defensive" U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan."
Brzezinski was of course preceded in January by elite outsider, Rep. Ron Paul;
It's clear that the "elite" does not uniformly want the US to engage Iran militarily, at least, not directly. Warfare by proxy is another matter. The CFR is spooked, and to transmit their message, they chose of course, a "former" spook and NSC insider, Bruce Riedel, in this month's Foreign Affairs magazine, in an article called "Al Qaeda Strikes Back".
"The biggest danger is that al Qaeda will deliberately provoke a war with a "false-flag" operation, say, a terrorist attack carried out in a way that would make it appear as though it were Iran's doing. The United States should be extremely wary of such deception. In the event of an attack, accurately assigning blame will require very careful intelligence work. It may require months, or even years, of patient investigating to identify the plotters behind well-planned and well-executed operations..."
The irony of a "former" CIA man and NSC insider delivering a warning about a "false-flag" attack is almost too much to bear. The relationship between the CIA and the Foreign Legion of jihadi Muslims or so-called "Arab Afghans" is in the public domain if you care to look for it. According to research by Michel Chossudovsky and Nafeez Mossadeq Ahmed, this relationship did not end with the Cold War, rather, the personification of evil embodied by the USSR had to be replaced, and it was replaced, with "International Terrorism", a far more malleable foe.
The working relationship between Western intelligence and jihadi "assets" continued unabated throughout the 1990s, especially in Bosnia. Nafeez Ahmed argues, at length, that the facilitation of these assets includes not only the Balkans, but North Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caucasus, and elsewhere.
This relationship carries on today, revealed most recently by Seymour Hersh, in his article The Redirection.
The infiltration, subversion and control of radical groups is part and parcel of the intelligence modus operandi. This was exposed most clearly in Italy with the revelations about GLADIO that became public knowledge in the 1990s.
False-Flag terror is on the lips of the establishment, and you know it's on their minds, too.
The disingenuous pronouncements of Riedel have to be taken with a grain of salt, but they should not be ignored.
It's just like reading Pravda, you have to know how to read it.
And you should know that some people are quite happy with the "International Terrorism" paradigm, and don't want to see this applecart get knocked over.

The stuff I didn't copy 'n' paste, yeah.
Big money goes around the world
Big money underground
Big money got a mighty voice
Big money make no sound
Big money pull a million strings
Big money hold the prize
Big money weave a mighty web
Big money draw the flies
Sometimes pushing people around
Sometimes pulling out the rug
Sometimes pushing all the buttons
Sometimes pulling out the plug
Its the power and the glory
Its a war in paradise
Its a cinderella story
On a tumble of the dice
