Ousted Georgia lawmaker to run for president

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Former Democratic Rep. Cynthia McKinney, who was ousted from office last year after a headline-grabbing scuffle with a Capitol Hill police officer, has decided to seek the presidency -- as a Green Party candidate.
In a video posted on the Internet on Tuesday, McKinney criticized the war in Iraq and complained about Democrats and Republicans, saying both parties are beholden to corrupt corporate interests. She called the Green Party "my new political home."
McKinney, 52, registered to vote in California after a group called Run! Cynthia! Run! began drafting her as the Green Party's candidate there. Since then, she had made campaign appearances in Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
"The Democrats do not speak for us," she said. "The Democrats are no different than their Republican counterparts."
McKinney served six terms representing a suburban Atlanta district but was defeated in 2006 by DeKalb County Commissioner Hank Johnson. She had been the first black woman elected to Congress from Georgia.
One of her final acts in Congress was to introduce a bill to impeach President Bush, saying he misled Congress into approving the war in Iraq and violated the law by secretly spying on citizens. She once claimed Bush had been warned of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
McKinney is one of at least seven Green Party candidates for president. The party will select its presidential nominee at its July 10 convention in Chicago.

This is why she was ousted from office
I've seen this clip on several occasions and
enjoy it every time. Cynthia McKinney does a great job and all the officials react very evasive, like criminals during an interrogation. They didn't even answer her question who was in charge of the war games.
I wonder if this was mentioned in the written response she was supposed to get?
Has she gotten that written response, does anybody know?

I couldn't agree more. They are criminals. This is why I say Cynthia has more balls than any man I know of. Rummy and his crew are thugs of the highest order. The criminality of these sub-humans is unparalleled in all of human history. This woman defines the word courage.

I hadn't seen the majority of that clip. Throughout it I considered the personal career sacrifices Cynthia McKinney has made fighting for 9/11 truth. My hat goes off to her.
Cynthia is True American Patriot
No one in congress has ever shown more courage to speak truth to power than Ms. McKinney. I have the utmost respect for her. I plan to donate to her campaign, and I encourage those that can, do likewise. Even if you support someone else (i.e. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich). Her voice must be heard in the '08 race. Because, unlike the other candidates (even the good ones), she will not shy away from telling it like it is, and thats good for all of us.

It would be best for them NOT to interview her.
Many of the 'truth squads' often mix in Bilderbergs or New World Order and CFR stuff -- that isn't going to help our work, regardless of what she says. It will only clarify for average people that the "9/11 truth movement" is also connected to a cult with beliefs about Masonics and Bilderbergs etc. These are easy things to tank our movement with.

McKinney. That woman has more balls than any man I know of even Ron Paul. I would love to see her as president but I am sorry to say that will never happen. I am a realist, but I am hoping that she will draw attention to the 9/11 truth issue while she is on the campaign trail.

Go into your local mall of Christmas shoppers and ask anyone what these are. They'll look at you like you are nuts. They don't crack books, they watch TV. Until something comes out that doesn't paint it as kooky cult stuff, we won't help ourselves by mixing. Mixing generally dilutes the strong stuff.
9/11 truth is also painted as kook stuff, but we have a lot of facts and powerful websites that convince more and more people each day. I see nothing like that for Bilderbergs, Masons, etc.

If Ron Paul doesnt get the nomination but then is pushed to run as an independent

Bloomberg runs drawing away from both dems and repubs

Cynthia McKinney draws together a powerful roots movement on the left
I think you get a really cool result, with Paul or McKinney winning and my bet is on McKinney. I think i'll probably even help her campaign.
If Hillary wins the nomination we're going to be very happy to have McKinney around working it.
I've been using my soapbox
I've been using my soapbox to promote a Ron Paul - Cynthia McKinney ticket for about a year now. It just makes sense, they being the only two politicians that I trust to actually represent the publics interests. No offense to Dennis, I'm sure I'd enjoy kicking it with him, I just don't think he acts strongly enough when it really counts.
