Sheldon Drobny at HuffPo: 9/11 "pinned" on Bin Laden because he is Disney cartoon villain

This is the third blog from Sheldon Drobny at Huffington Post articulating skepticism over the official 9/11 fairy tale, actually dated September 7 but never posted here at 911blogger:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sheldon-drobny/bin-laden-and-the-wonderf_b_63476.html

"The 9/11 attack was a well-funded plan that involved money as well as manpower and planning within the U.S. It is my personal belief that they gave credit for 9/11 to Bin Laden the same as cops claiming that they have captured a murderer by pinning it on some already known murderer. It gives the public the belief that there has been some positive response by law enforcement. Bin Laden originally denied that he had anything to do with 9/11. He ultimately took credit for it after we insisted that he was responsible. That was the gift of a lifetime for him."

Earlier, Drobny said he believed the hijackers had inside help. He also recently attacked Bill Maher's opinion on 9/11 as naive.

Peter Lance: Bush nominee helped mask FBI's pre-9/11 failures

I know many of you consider Peter Lance to be limited hangout or worse, but consider how stories such as this can at least help us illuminate the coup faction. Mukasey is definitely a made man. I don't buy Lance's story about Ali Mohamed, but I think Mukasey is dirty.

Author: Bush nominee helped mask FBI's pre-9/11 failures and kept al Qaeda's infiltration of US intelligence from view

This is the first of two op/ed exposes by Peter Lance, the best-selling author of Triple Cross, which will be released by HarperCollins in a new edition next month.

In the coverage of Michael B. Mukasey, President Bush's nominee to replace Alberto Gonzales, the line in his resume that has resonated the most with the media is his experience presiding over the 1995 terrorism trial of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman.

Douglas Rushkoff attacks 9/11 skeptics

What's remarkably ironic about this belated attack on 9/11 skeptics is that it trots out the well rehearsed argument that 9/11 skeptics "are unwittingly performing as the unpaid minions of the administration’s propaganda wing," while simultaneously it sounds so similar to all other attacks on 9/11 skepticism that one might be convinced they originate with the same propaganda source. It is people such as Rushkoff who sound like servants of Empire, not us.

CONSPIRACIES OF DUNCES

(from Arthur No. 26)

I have to admit that I do this with some trepidation. I can already feel the assault on my inbox. But after a good long think about potential time and energy being lost by our entire community to senseless and ultimately inconsequential musings, I have to come out and say it: the alternative theories about 9-11 are wrong. Worse, the endless theorizing and speculation about trajectories, explosives, military tests, fake airplane parts and remote control navigation actually distracts some of our best potential activists from addressing the more substantive matters at hand.

City TV News' "WebNation" interviews Dylan Avery

Canadian television station City TV in Toronto hosts a show called WebNation with smoking hot host Amber MacArthur. On September 13, 2007, Amber interviewed Dylan Avery. If you don't want to watch the entire episode, you can skip to about the 9:30 mark, where coverage of Loose Change begins. Dylan does mention a few details about the final cut. I must say, despite my wariness of Loose Change in the past, that it sounds like Dylan has matured and the final cut will be a marked improvement over version 2.

Giuliani and Mukasey go way back, says NY Times

The potential appointment of Michael Mukasey as attorney general could have implications for whatever slim chance exists for a proper trial of the 9/11 perps. The other reason to follow Mukasey's appointment here is because it continues to illuminate the potential connections among the coup faction and sympathizers.

An Old Friend Joins Giuliani in a Spotlight
By MICHAEL COOPER

They were together early in their professional lives, as federal prosecutors working on corruption cases and later when they were engaged in private practice at the same firm, where they shared a fondness for practical jokes.

Then the careers of the two lawyers took off, and after one of them, Rudolph W. Giuliani, was elected the 107th mayor of New York, he went to the apartment of the other, Michael B. Mukasey, by then a federal judge, for a private swearing-in ceremony on New Year’s Eve.

Bill Maher's opinion is naive about 9/11: Sheldon Drobny

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sheldon-drobny/bill-mahers-opinion-is-n_b_64742.html

I think that Bill Maher is the most talented political pundit of this generation. Since he decided to exclude the right wing nuts from his show, he speaks with much greater credibility. However, his last show was disappointing to me when he essentially marginalized anyone who has doubts about the official 9/11 story. By focusing only upon the controlled demolition theory of the Twin Towers, he excluded a more viable discussion of the collapse of building # 7 that was not hit by anything but the debris from towers 1 and 2. He further criticized those who have other doubts about the official story by intimating that it is ridiculous to believe that our government would attack its own people.

Meet The New Boss (Same As The OId Boss): Michael B. Mukasey

'The Spirit of Liberty'
Before attacking the Patriot Act, try reading it.

BY MICHAEL B. MUKASEY

Learned Hand, among the last century's greatest judges, defined the spirit of liberty 60 years ago as "the spirit which is not too sure that it is right." We must consider what message we can take from those words today.

We are now in a struggle with an extremism that expresses itself in the form of terror attacks, and in that we face what is probably the gravest threat to this country's institutions, if not to its physical welfare, since the Civil War. When one tries to assess people who can find it in themselves to fly airplanes into buildings and murder 3,000 of us in a single morning, whatever else you can say about such people, they are very sure that they are right; and wouldn't it be music to their ears to hear that our spirit says we're not too sure that we are right?

Forgetting 9/11

by Manuel Garcia Jr. / September 14th, 2007

Because I have written about the physics of the World Trade Center fires and collapses of September 11, 2001, I have recently been asked by several people to comment on “9-11″ during this sixth anniversary of the events. Because 9/11 happened a long time ago, as time is now experienced by the now-now no-history-cache wireless-wired over-caffeinated infotainment public mind, people have solidified their views on the subject, and new commentary is unnecessary. Those who have moved beyond 9/11 see it as blowback from decades of inhuman US foreign policy. Those who cannot accept the realization that “the natives” successfully struck back will instead find comfort in the hypothesis that 9/11 was an engineered catastrophe, and the ultimate puppeteers were those who pull the strings of the US government.

Coleen Rowley: Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed neocons can destroy the world (if we let them)

At Huffington Post, FBI whistleblower Coleen Rowley has written a piece titled, Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed neocons can destroy the world (if we let them). While I recommend the entire editorial, here I will extract only this part:

"On page 362 of the Epilogue of his insightful book Chain of Command, Seymour Hersh asked the question back in 2004 that I predict will become the major question all historians will have to answer: "How did they do it? How did eight or nine neoconservatives who believed that a war in Iraq was the answer to international terrorism get their way? How did they redirect the government and rearrange long-standing American priorities and policies with so much ease? How did they overcome the bureaucracy, intimidate the press, mislead the Congress, and dominate the military? Is our democracy that fragile?""

The answer, Coleen, is simple: 9/11.

For those who are unfamiliar with Coleen Rowley:

Osama a myth, couldn't be behind 9/11: bin Laden guru

Osama a myth, couldn't be behind 9/11: bin Laden guru

By Manish Chand

Khartoum, Sep 4 (IANS) "Osama bin Laden could not have plotted the WTC attacks. Neither did Al Qaeda. It's all a myth created by the West," says Sheikh Hassan Abdallah al-Turbai, the charismatic Sudanese Islamist ideologue who hosted and mentored bin Laden in Khartoum in the early 1990s.

"He came here not to fight. He was building roads and airports and bridges in Sudan. He was a simple man. He could not have done it," Turabi said emphatically to a visiting IANS correspondent when asked whether he thought bin Laden was the key architect of the 9/11 bombings of the World Trade Centre (WTC) in New York that shook the world nearly six years ago. "Anyone who comes here is welcome. Yes, he was angry with the Americans and the British. But he is not the man behind Al Qaeda. Bin Laden comes from southern Saudi Arabia. He hasn't travelled a lot. He is alone," said Turabi, whose niece is married to bin Laden.

Paul Reveres or Benedict Arnolds: Whistleblowing in the Post-9/11 Age

Here's a video of a recent appearance by Sibel Edmonds at the annual conference of the American Library Association. Please note the announcement that Sibel is co-authoring a book to appear this Fall; it will be titled Kill the Messenger.

Here is the video description: "Sibel Edmonds, President, National Security Whistleblowers Coalition, will discuss being fired by the FBI in March 2002 for reporting shoddy work and security breaches that may have prevented the 9/11 attacks. She will explain firsthand how government secrecy can be abusive and why defending whistleblowing is a free speech issue. Cosponsored by the Intellectual Freedom Committee and the Committee on Legislation this program is entitled "Paul Reveres or Benedict Arnolds?: Whistleblowing in the Post 9/11 Age"."

9/11: Still Killing

TIME magazine has a photo-essay that features first responders and other victims of the toxic fallout of 9/11.

http://www.time.com/time/photoessays/2006/first_responders/

In addition to the obvious tragedy of these stories, the eyewitness account of the firefighter at the beginning of the essay may be of interest to those working on the controlled demolition theory. He describes the Ground Zero pile as hot as a "volcano" and contained an "orange-yellowish smoke" coming from below that turned their skin "maroon." He says he doesn't know "what kind of chemicals" were coming out of the pile.

Hip hop artist Chamillionaire calls 9/11 "a calculation" in his song "Evening News": "Where the heck is Osama at?"

Some lyrics from Chamillionaire's latest single:

"The White House is going to stay white even tho' we know Obama's black,
9/11 was a calculation, and some would say it was a timed attack,
He gave a speech on CNN, "They bombed us, now we're bombing back",
Where the heck is Osama at?"
