Taxpayers, Americans, rational people, I have a modest proposal. Instead of spending $700 Billion to buy bad debt from the bank shark fraudsters, let us spend merely 1/2 of $1 Billion to build a new SuperDuper Prison(TM), and round up all the organized crime figures who are attempting to defraud the People of the United States of multiple generations' worth of wealth.
Start with Phil Gramm and Robert Rubin (a bipartisan effort!), who were most instrumental in this crime, by abusing their offices and the trust of the nation, and engaging in gross malfeasance.
Malfeasance at this level should not be ignored. It only encourages more criminal activity.
I know, I know, we're not allowed to play the "blame game" because White House press secretaries have forbidden it. (Odd how they cash in on the blame in their memoirs after they leave the post... but, I digress.)

(Wash. DC) Well, they finally did it. The Money Party exposed the nauseating underbelly of first world finance. It's a cross between a Ponzi scheme and a complex math puzzle, all geared to let those in charge rake off as much money as they can, whenever they can, while they leave us out in the cold. Unfortunately, this time their greed and lack of control has the world poised for a systemic economic meltdown.
The collapse and subsequent government rescue of home mortgage giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, stock brokerage Merrill Lynch, investment bank Bear Stearns, and, an insurance company, AIG, are designed to show we're moving away from the brink of disaster to a safer place. "The system is working" to manage what Alan Greenspan is calling a once in a century event.
One thing the system might do while it's working so hard is explain why we're bailing out a stock brokerage and an insurance company? Isn't this about banks? Don't hold your breath. The corporate elite and political misanthropes who caused this are getting ready to put the final nail in the coffin of the United States economy and the livelihood of the vast majority of citizens...

Recently, Kevin Fenton posted an update to the timeline available at www.historycommons.org entitled, "United 93, 9/11 Commission – Additions to the 9/11 Timeline as of September 21, 2008." In it, he stated that "as the commission was just beginning its work in early 2003, Executive Director Philip Zelikow had already completed an outline of its final report." When I read that entry, I was floored. As you'll read below, Kean, Hamilton, and Zelikow decided to keep this outline a secret from the 9/11 Commission staffers because it might be seen that they, "had predetermined the report's outcome." Now why on Earth would they think something ridiculous like that?

An article in the Army Times reveals that the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team will be redeployed from Iraq to domestic operations within the United States.
The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with "civil unrest" and "crowd control".
The soldiers are learning to use so-called "nonlethal weapons" designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.
This violates posse comitatus and the Constitution. But, hey, we're in a "national emergency", so who cares, right?

For german language speaking users: A review of the ZDF's version of "The Third Tower"
I've done a rebuttal to the german version of the BBC's "The Third Tower", called "Das Rätsel des dritten Turmes" broadcasted by german second television channel ZDF and their "ZDF history" format on 08/09/07.
I put all the infos we gathered together into it, and it's quite a devastating result for the ZDF- almost every claim they made was false, they used some of the same tricks like the BBC like the cut and fit for their needs of the Jennings testimony, but refused to use others, like the victims-mockery if you ask questions and refuse to believe the official narrative.
It's a 111 page .pdf with 3,7 MB, the making of the script (which the ZDF denied it has and so couldn't gave me) alone took me 4 days in a row.
My wife actually said I'm crazy. ;)
Anyway: here it is, only in german so far (maybe a translation follows)
