The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit today in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, complaining that the Obama Administration failed to respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests relating to the assassinations of three US citizens in Yemen.

The ACLU condemned “the government’s self-serving attitude toward transparency,” arguing that the administration publicly and loudly releases bits of information related to the assassinations but declines to provide the full story, claiming the killings were “secret.”

The requests centered around the September 30 assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki, a New Mexico-born Muslim cleric that the administration regularly claimed was a “terrorist,” as well as his teenage son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki and US citizen Samir Khan. The ACLU sought information on the process through which the Obama Administration decides who lives and who dies, as well as on the legal rationale for “kill lists.”

William Veale, April Gallop’s lawyer from the Center for 9/11 Justice, learning of the assignment the usual 5 days before the argument, filed a motion to disqualify Judge Walker the day before the argument.

In a major failing, Arab Voices ignores polling showing that a majority in the Arab and Muslim world has for several years proclaimed 9/11 conspiracy theories claiming that the terrorist acts were secretly perpetrated by the U.S. government, CIA and Israel's Mossad. The supposed purpose of this conspiracy and mass murder was to inculcate anti-Muslim hate in order to provide a pretext for attacking innocent Muslim countries. According to American academics, here and here, in a poll conducted in 2004 in seven Muslim countries, 78 percent of respondents said that they do not believe the 9/11 attacks were carried out by Arabs. The most popular account, in these countries is that 9/11 was the work of the U.S. or Israeli governments. Glenn Beck has been very hard on 9-11 truthers the past couple of days. He's been beating up on one person in particular, who, as it turns out, isn't actually a truther -- Van Jones.

On Wednesday, Beck said this:

BECK: They may not know the last one, you know, because they didn't know Van Jones was a 9/11 truther, you know? I mean, should we expect the White House to distance himself from Lerner since, you know, he's plotting economic terrorism? I don't know. Maybe we should tell him he's a 9/11 truther. Maybe then they'll distance themselves.

Let me ask you this: Who is letting people in the White House? We had the 9/11 truther who I point out a bigger problem was he was a communist. And now, we got a guy who is plotting economic terrorism. Who else is going through the door of the White House?

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich—who left office under a cloud in 1999—has pivotal political backing in elite global financial and corporate circles and can count on friendly support from the controlled media in pursuing his aspirations for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

Despite his efforts to portray himself as a “conservative” alternative to politics-as-usual, Gingrich is an unabashed New World Order internationalist and a long-standing advocate of destructive “free trade” policies and American military adventurism abroad.

As such, it is no coincidence Gingrich is a longtime member of the Rockefeller family-financed Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the New York-based affiliate of the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the policy-making apparatus of the global empire of the Rothschild banking dynasty that is intricately intertwined with those predatory plutocrats on American soil who dominate the unconstitutional Federal Reserve System, the privately owned money monopoly Ron Paul has worked to bring into line. These facts about Gingrich point to where his real loyalties lie.

DIRTY MONEY

On Feb. 26 The Washington Post reported Gingrich has assembled a multi-level, wide-ranging political conglomerate of his own, described as “a financial empire that could prove crucial” in advancing Gingrich’s presidential ambitions. He has already raised more money than possible GOP primary opponents including Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney.

In addition, Gingrich controls an operation known as American Solutions for Winning the Future—a virtual private money machine that Gingrich uses to promote himself. The Post says this Gingrich venture has raised “more money than any other organization of its kind nationwide,” to the tune of more than $50 million, “much of it as large donations from casino, energy and banking interests.”

By far the most generous backer of Gingrich is Las Vegas-based casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson—a hardline supporter of Israel who once described himself as “the richest Jew in the world.” Adelson has given Gingrich some $6 million over the last four years.

Gingrich also has an unusual connection to Larry Silverstein, a controversial figure whose name has been in the forefront of the circumstances surrounding the cover-up of the 9-11 terrorist tragedy.

The new all volunteer KPFA Morning Show got a resounding endorsement from Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth this week. The group says its mission is to promote the idea that there is “sufficient evidence to conclude that the World Trade Center buildings #1 (North Tower), #2 (South Tower), and #7 (the 47 story high-rise across Vesey St.) were destroyed not by jet impact and fires but by controlled demolition with explosives” on September 11, 2001.

On Tuesday, the outfit put out an action alert calling on its supporters to let the Berkeley, California listener supported station know that they like the signal’s new volunteer “Morning Mix” lineup, which replaced recently purged hosts Aimee Allison and Brian Edwards-Tiekert:

[NOTE: The headline the Telegraph chose to use, "UN Human Rights Official Claims 9-11 Was US Plot." is inaccurate and misleading, and is reproduced and preserved here at 911Blogger because of the significance of it being employed by a mainstream media institution like the Telegraph.

In his blog post Richard Falk did not "claim" or "suggest" that "9/11 was US plot" or that the "US government may have orchestrated the September 11 terrorist attacks." What Falk said was, there are "awkward gaps and contradictions in the official explanations," there was "an apparent cover up", and there are "well-evidenced doubts about the official version of the events: an al Qaeda operation with no foreknowledge by government officials." - loose nuke]

Over the last century, the most astounding historical discoveries of man-made artifacts have often been accomplished by well-funded, highly experienced researchers. From the excavation of King Tut’s tomb to the sighting of the sunken Titanic, stunning finds have required immense financial and human resources, as well as leadership by distinguished explorers. So, how did a mountain of never-before-seen footage used in NIST’s World Trade Center investigations get exposed to the light of day last month? Was it the work of a billionaire adventurer?

Not quite. You can thank an upstart non-profit, the International Center for 9/11 Studies, whose efforts have at last borne fruit.

The International Center for 9/11 Studies was founded in 2008 by Director James Gourley, a Texas lawyer who began questioning the events of 9/11 after watching a presentation given by David Ray Griffin on C-SPAN.

“I was just floored by what I was hearing,” Gourley explained, “and I’ve been looking into 9/11 ever since then.”

Hope it gets the attention of the people in the alternative media censoring the news about Kevin Bracken and 9/11 truth in general. September 11th is indisputably the greatest crime in modern history. Everyone agrees that it has been the catalyst to excuse everything that has taken place in America since: wars, illegal surveillance, and torture, most notably.

It is the story of the century and it is still not to be questioned by the leading so-called alternative news websites that have reached mainstream levels of viewership. 9/11 is the stinky fart in the newsroom, where everyone with half-a-brain knows who cut the cheese, but because the boss is the culprit they’re afraid to be ridiculed or fired for speaking out. It’s authentic cowardice in the first degree.

A recent article on Disquiet Reservations called out specific “alternative” news sites for their cowardly unwillingness to mention 9/11 at all costs. The story they refused to cover happened last week in Australia, where the country’s top Union official, Kevin Bracken, caused international uproar when he was attacked for claiming on a national radio show that “the official story of 9/11 does not stand up to scientific scrutiny.” Of course, on the surface this doesn’t seem like a big story, but what is a huge story is that when the Herald Sun posted an online poll about it, an astounding majority (76.79%) agreed with Bracken, as reported by Excavator:
