While the White House went to great lengths to keep the details of last year’s raid on the Osama bin Laden compound from penetrating the public peripheral, investigators are questioning how much intel the Pentagon passed to hotshots in Hollywood.

Lawmakers say that the May 2011 event that nearly ended the War on Terror was among the most secretive in the history of the CIA, and the Obama administration has since shunned the public from any details pertaining to the plan even after the former al-Qaeda leader’s execution and burial at sea. As skeptics scorned President Obama for his lack of transparency in the process and demanded proof, the White House largely left details of the event and what occurred before and after locked up in Washington.

The Big Lie has been awarded a 6th place standing in the most controversial comic books of 2011!

The 11th Annual Rumour Awards, presented by Bleeding Cool, has named The Big Lie as the only title from Image Comics to make the list for most controversial comics of 2011.

The story of The Big Lie comic book continues to unfold. Released just in time for the 10th anniversary of 9/11, over 8,600 copies of 10,000 first-print runs have been sold. This is great news! I am happy that people are still enjoying the comic or reading it for the first time.

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11 Image Comics published a one-shot comicbook entitled The Big Lie — written and drawn by comic’s veteran, Rick Veitch, Gary Erskine (inks), with Thomas Yeates (cover), Dominic Reagan (color), and Annie Parkhouse (letters). According to the publisher, The Big Lie will be a series of one-shot/stand-alone comics that will serve as conversation pieces for many comic fans and non-comic fans alike. The intention of the comic is to explore very real and often politically-charged questions in traditional comic book format. The first issue of The Big Lie was published in honor of the attacks of September 11th, 2001.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks of Dec 7, 1941.

During a visit to a local antique store, I came across a relic of an issue of Time magazine for $6.00.

Dated September 10th, 1945, I quickly looked inside to see what I would find. What a score! I felt like I was reading the 9/11 Commission Report, or at least a summary of it.

I could not help but think of all the similarities between Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Everyone knows that in 2000 the Project for a New American Century, a neo-conservative think-tank, called for a “new Pearl Harbor” in order to facilitate and hasten their plan for military hegemony. And we know that came on September 11th, 2001.

And everyone knows that the 9/11 cover-up was sealed with the 9/11 Commission Report.

So it was reminiscent to read about a “ludicrous story of doodling,” “omissions,” information gaps and the “failure” of one to give information to another in the lead-up to the Pearl Harbor attacks – Oh, and missed warnings.

Perhaps it is nothing.

The 9/11 Commission Final Report did not mention it.

The FBI investigated it and interviewed many people, several different times. FBI officials never contested the media reports, nor did it ever release any findings of its investigation publicly.

Perhaps it was not important enough to warrant a note or comment ….. perhaps it is.

During the 10 year anniversary of the attacks, ABC brought us the first-in-a-long-time mainstream news report of the mystery:

News of the Saudi Crown Prince passing in the U.S. and his new successor to the post warrant a refresher on the attempts to name them in 9/11 lawsuits years ago.

Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, died just a weeks ago in a New York hospital due to ill health. The world’s largest oil-exporting nation has quickly found an heir to the Crown Prince, a position directly under the most powerful of the King. The new Crown Prince has been named as Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, brother of the deceased Crown Prince Sultan. Both were half-brothers to the current King of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah, and both are a part of the powerful Sudairi Seven.

One month ago The Big Lie comic book was released by Truth Be Told Comics, published by Image Comics.

Looking around on the internet it is clear that the The Big Lie is still creating interest and spawning conversation in diverse circles inside and outside of the regular 9/11 groups. The video above was posted by LeakSourceArchive. Here is a look at a selection of recent articles and interviews regarding The Big Lie following its release.

The Bohemian, September 7th:

Al Jazeera provided an interactive breakdown on how much 9/11 has cost  to the American economy in 10 years.

I have outlined it below in short; further down is the longer version with explanation details for each main and sub-category. It is stated that many of these categories are conservative calculations and that many categories are certain to rise in cost.

Note: $5 trillion dollars is equal to 5 million millions.

Over 70 body parts from 9/11 victims were found in 2010.

Could it be that more remains in 2011 have been found? The NY Medical Examiner does not make it 100% clear if these were body fragments from previous recovery efforts in 2010 or 2006; or if perhaps more fragments have been found in 2011. Here is the latest from CBS New York:

Forensic technicians have identified another set of human remains found in the rubble of the World Trade Center, nearly a decade after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The office of New York City’s medical examiner announced Tuesday that it had successfully matched a set of remains to 40-year-old Ernest James, who had been assumed dead in the Twin Towers’ collapse.

James was identified within the last few days through DNA testing, a spokeswoman said. He worked for the professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies, which lost more than 350 employees and consultants that day.

Writer Alex Zalben recently interviewed Rick Veitch about the up and coming comic book The Big Lie. The interview was posted on Mtv Geek and opens like so:

Col. Tim Duffy visited Sonoma County, Ca on June 25th. He came to the Pacific Coast Air Museum, where the F-15 he flew on 9/11 is on display for the local 9/11 memorial.

Col. Tim Duffy describes the day of 9/11 from his perspective. He also begins to take questions from the audience. Noteably, he describes the towers destruction as an "impolosion", rather than a "collapse" - and mentions his prior intercept mission in the past.

Flashback: 2 years ago, on June 29th 2009, The U.S. Supreme Court let a ruling stand regarding 9/11 lawsuits and Saudi Arabia. Reuters reported:

…Saudi Arabia, four of its princes and other Saudi entities cannot be held liable for the September 11, 2001, hijacked plane attacks in the United States.

The justices refused to review the ruling by a U.S. appeals court in New York that the Saudi defendants were protected by sovereign immunity in the lawsuit brought by victims of the attacks and their families.

The appeals court had upheld a lower court’s dismissal of the lawsuit claiming Saudi Arabia, four princes, a Saudi charity and a Saudi banker provided material support to al Qaeda before the September 11 attacks.

The victims and their families argued that because the defendants gave money to Muslim charities that in turn gave money to al Qaeda, they should be held responsible for helping to finance the attacks.

It took years of lobbying and partisan bickering, but the 9/11 Zadroga Act to help ailing Ground Zero responders finally took effect today.

The law provides $4.3 billion in guaranteed federal funding to cover health costs and financial compensation for emergency responders, recovery workers, volunteers, and residents who were affected by the attacks almost 10 years ago.

Advocates celebrated with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting against a backdrop of Star Spangled Banners at Mount Sinai’s 9/11 health clinic this morning.

National and city pols were also on hand, including Mayor Bloomberg, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and U.S. Reps. Jerrold Nadler, Charlie Rangel, and Carolyn Maloney.

Almost a decade after the nightmare of 9/11, former fighter pilot Tim Duffy still fields the questions:

The UK's Daily Mail reported that the U.S. dropped charges against Bin Laden for the USS Cole and US Embassy bombings:

U.S. District Court judge Lewis Kaplan, who had been presiding over the bin Laden case in Manhattan federal court, issued an order called 'nolle prosequi', which means 'do not prosecute' in Latin, a typical legal move once a defendant is deceased.

Bin Laden was indicted back in 1998 in the Southern District of New York for his role in the al Qaeda attack on the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, which killed more than 200 people, including a dozen Americans.

The indictment was later revised to charge bin Laden in the dual bombings of two American embassies in East Africa that killed 224 on August 7, 1998, and in the suicide attack on the USS Cole in 2000. None of the charges involved the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

NPR reports that the official death toll from 9/11 has been raised by 1, bringing the number to 2,753. The addition to the number of people who were murdered without a proper investigation on 9/11 came from a Manhattan worker, who inhaled the initial dust cloud (like thousands of other people) of the destroyed World Trade Center.

Last year, it was reported that upwards of 900 people had already died from 9/11 related illnesses. NY 1 reported last year:

Rodriguez, of Lindenhurst, L.I., the mother of two young boys, is among nearly 900 first responders to have died from an array of ailments traced to their service at the smoldering World Trade Center.

The clean-up of the WTC site was a disaster in many ways: From hasty removal of crime scene evidence to lies from the EPA and other agencies. Here is a clip from a report at World for 9/11 Truth:

Nearly 100,000 first responders have been exposed to toxic elements such as Asbestos and were not instructed to wear any special equipment to avoid medical problems. In fact, as demonstrated in the shocking documentary Dust to Dust: the Health Effects of 9/11, the EPA and the U.S. Government told them the air was safe to breathe.

Another day to remember is pointed out by the AP:

While Americans grieved the 9/11 attacks and U.S. troops went to war in Afghanistan, another army, one made up of ironworkers, heavy equipment operators and mason tenders, toiled day and night to clear away the destruction of the World Trade Center's twin towers in lower Manhattan and recover the bodies of the dead.

In just 8 1/2 months, an estimated 1.8 million tons of twisted steel and pulverized concrete were painstakingly removed, transforming a mountainous pile into a 16-acre hole that became known as The Pit.

By Memorial Day, it was all but over. The day after the holiday, workers cut down the last column of steel still standing at the site.

Take one part Blackwater, and another part Able Danger, the military data-mining op that claimed to have identified members of al-Qaida living in the United States before 9/11. Put ‘em together, and you’ve got a new company called Jellyfish.

A poll has been conducted and is still available for voting at USA Today. The vote is concerning Rashard Mendenhall's loss of his corporate sponsor Champion apparel after his remarks about Bin Laden and 9/11.

The vote results right now will make you cringe, and we need to impact the results:

According to an AP press release and a CNN blog update it is being reported that the body of Usama Bin Laden has been dumped at sea in accordance with Islamic tradition.

The quick disposal of the body of Bin Laden is an amazing display of disregard to the situation, though disposal of evidence and 9/11 seem to be synonymous.

Larry Silverstein has won another court case and potentially hundreds-of-millions of more dollars due to the demolitions of 3 World Trade Center buildings on 9/11.

The third in a series of U.S. Navy amphibious assault vessels named in honor of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks [was] christened Saturday, and a key responder at the Pentagon nearly a decade ago is bringing the heroics of his fellow emergency workers with him.

The future USS Arlington is being built at the Northrop Grumman Corp. shipyard in Pascagoula. It's named in honor of Arlington County, Va., where American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001, killing 184 people, after being hijacked en route from Washington-Dulles International Airport to Los Angeles.

The ship's sponsor is Joyce Rumsfeld, wife of former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who was in the Pentagon on the day of the attack.
