Olbermann: 'I heard Al Qaeda causes night to fall'

MSNBC host Keith Olbermann says the realistic threat of terrorism is being so overstated by the Bush administration -- and in turn, by Fox News -- that it's downright funny.
"What happens when the culture of fear begins to inspire not terror or outrage, but laughter?" asked Olbermann. "Am I being too optimistic, or has giggling now passed paranoia in response to the president and these macabre parrots working at Fox?"
Olbermann cited a report yesterday carried by Fox News which suggested that Al Qaeda may be the true culprit behind the rash of recent California wildfires. Basing their coverage on an article it said ran "five days ago" in the Arizona Republic, the Fox and Friends morning program discussed an FBI memo stating that an Al Qaeda detainee had brought up the possibility of such a plan.
Calling the the report "almost all wrong," the host took the network to task for grossly misreporting the age of the memo:

This afternoon the 27/10/2007 the Americains against the war ( AAW http://aawhome.blogspot.com/ ) and members of the reopen911.info ( Yves and myself (John Mitchell) ) were manifesting in the centre of Paris 'Fontaines de Saint-Michel" against the war in Iraq and againt the future war in Iran.
The key members of AAW asked us (Yves and myself) to move further away so that the AAW and the 911 truth mouvement can not be taken as together. We complied to their request and moved further avay. We were suprised to find that our message was much more successful far from AAW. Howerver we are asking is the fight for 911 truth and the fight against the war two things different ?
Yves and myself think that our fight against the Neocon evil has a better chance to win if the anti-war mouvement and the 911 truth mouvmeent work togerher. Please tell us what you think ?

11th October was a coming of age for the Sydney 9/11 Truth Action Group. On that day we had our first encounter with the authorities. After five months of regular appearances at the Town Hall, on this occasion we were informed by city rangers that we had committed an offence (by setting up a card table and a banner). Subsequently were we told by the police that we were required to provide detailed information and identification in order to lawfully protest.
