How Wall Street Can Bail itself Out Without Destroying the Dollar

by Thom Hartmann

September 26, 2008

From opednews

For Grover "Drown Government in the Bathtub" Norquist, this bailout deal will work out very well. At a proposed cost of $4,780 per taxpayer, it'll further the David Stockman strategy of so indebting us that the next president won't have the luxury of even thinking of new social spending (expanding health care, social security, education, infrastructure, etc.); taxes will even have to be raised just to pay for the bailout. It'll debase our currency, driving up commodity prices and interest rates, which will benefit the Investor Class while further impoverishing the pesky Middle Class, rendering them less prone to protest (because they're so busy working trying to pay off their debt). It'll create stagflation for at least the next half decade, which can be blamed on Democrats who currently control Congress and, should Obama be elected, be blamed on him.

Re: NORAD -- "A clear case of perjury"

This comes from DNotice.org, in a piece entitled 'The NORAD Papers III,' which follows two other informative reports from them about NORAD that people have submitted to 911bloggger.

Their article begins:

In The NORAD Papers and The NORAD Papers II we learned from government/military documents, media reports, university curricula, etc. dating from before 1995 to 1999 that NORAD since its founding in 1958 was tasked with three missions:

1. surveillance and control of the airspace covering the United States and Canada;

2. providing the NCAs [National Command Authorities] with tactical warning and attack assessment of an aerospace attack against North America; and

3. providing an appropriate response to any form of an air attack.1

Official account re: NORAD not true

From DNotice.org:

5/28/08 One Of Our Aircraft Isn't Missing

From the Ministry of Defense, June 4, 2008
Air America

Testifying before the 9/11 Commission General Richard Myers, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the commission in response to NORAD’s mission, "I can't answer the hypothetical. It's more - it's the way that we were directed to posture, looking outward."1 This is utterly false. As we will see below NORAD, since its inception, was tasked to monitor and intercept aircraft flying over American and Canadian air space seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Christian Pastor’s Positive Review of David Ray Griffen’s Work

Exerpt from “Ministering to all kinds of disasters” by Rev. Alphonso Lyons, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Peoria, Ill., in the Saturday, April 21, 2007 on-line edition of the Journal Star here.

"The New Pearl Harbor" was written by David Ray Griffin, a Christian and retired professor from Claremont Theological Seminary. Griffin embraces process theology, modernity and postmodernity. Briefly, Griffin suggests that the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist twin-tower destruction was in fact not a terrorist-led plot, but one engineered by American entities.

Griffin documents evidence that indicates that each of the hijacked airplanes did not have the force to cause enough temperature to melt the respective towers and an adjacent building. He claims New York firefighter witnesses say that a series of purposefully charged implosions beginning below the ground floors moving upward actually brought the buildings down.

The author suggests that a new Pearl Harbor was sought as a rallying force to unite the country.

BOYCOTT THE MSM?

Think if this country's media had done its job, both pre-9/11/01 and after. Just think of it.

How many people would have watched WTC 7 collapse on its footprint, devastatingly, as a classic controlled demolition? How often would TV analysts have pondered that?

Would reporters have taken the magic passports at face value? And consider the FBI, recently so hugely stupid, unable even to communicate at the time between disparate offices. Would media types have wondered how this same FBI could then name the culprits in one week's time?

And what would a real media sector have done when nearly half of those very names then turned up again, attached to people who are, even today, still living?

Would a real media have allowed Rudi Giuliani to orchestrate the single largest destruction of criminal evidence in world history? It went on for months, with no oversight of any kind.

Keep the Steering Committe questions in front of Rudi Giuliani

This document, an 'oldie but goodie,' will remain timely as long as Rudi Giuliani lives. Who knows? If a Republican is elected President, Rudi may be appointed to some high Administration post.

Statement and Questions Regarding the 9/11 Commission Interview of Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Members of his Administration

revised May 11, 2004

The Family Steering Committee is pleased that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and members of his Administration will be giving sworn testimony before an audience of Families of 9/11 Victims and the American public.

Since the Commission is responsible for fulfilling the Congressional mandate to investigate all facts relating to 9/11, the following questions for the Giuliani Administration and the Port Authority of NY & NJ must be addressed at the May 18th –19th hearings in order to facilitate informed decisions and recommendations.

Letters to Left Gatekeepers

We should send letters to news outlets’ op-ed writers.

We should especially contact the so-called Left Gatekeepers, who have fallen into the lazy trap of not looking at evidence.

Below I provide a copy of a letter that I sent to Matt Taibbi who writes for Rolling Stone. Remember? He has written two pieces ridiculing the 9-11 Truth movement. But otherwise he seems like a nice and clear-thinking fellow.

I suggest that we start sending letters like this very regularly, to all news outlets and to any and all journalists who might read and respond. Repeat letters saying the same thing would be fine, in my opinion. The more the better, I say.

Notice that my goal in this email below is to help the fellow do his job. Such people want leads to good stories. Notice too the complete lack of thrusting accusation. I think that makes it more likely he will see the message and consider it.

If you too decide to follow suit, copy this verbatim if you like, or write your own -- or alter mine in any way you’d care to. I plan to send similar messages to Jarrett Murphy of Village Voice, Terry Allen of the Independent Media Institute, and Matthew Rothschild of the Progressive.

A Call For Confession

Daniel Ellsberg has called on current administration figures to expose the planning and implementation of a nuclear attack on Iran, which Ellsberg says is immanent:
http://www.ufppc.org/content/view/5404/

He asks in this paper that someone risk his or her own career to expose this, just as he himself did with the Pentagon papers back in the 1970s.

Similarly, many who know how the 9-11 attack was orchestrated must now feel horrified at their own role in it, whether active or passive. After seeing video of people jumping out of the Twin Towers, how can Mr. Silverstein digest his food, for example? How can Rudy Giuliani sleep at night? These people are human like the rest of us, and so they all have consciences.

The only way to heal their own consciences will be by confessing and telling all that they know. This will however be a difficult task, not least due to the question: Whom to tell? Will our Department of Justice, for example, act on the confession, or suppress it?

I hope such people consider carefully how and where to confess so that the action is effective. If they have documentation proving what they know, one hopes they can duplicate it several times and send it to trusted people who will know what to do with it.

Even 'debunking' articles can have a good effect

This explanatory post is long. The salient point is that even bad 9-11 articles can have a good effect. See below.

In my case, for some reason I knew on the day of 9-11 that that airliner was shot down over Shanksville. A friend of mine was in the Air Force. He had no doubt at all about it, on that day. But I thought the explosives idea was just nutty -- that bombs or whatever took down the WTC buildings.

Then -- pretty recently, really -- there was an article on Alternet debunking 9-11 'conspiracies.' By someone named Matt something. I read the comments to that editorial, to see what kind of people would believe the conspiracies. In the comments someone praised the video 9-11 Mysteries. I downloaded that, based on the person's praise of it.

God, what an amazing turnaround. The implications still just amaze me.

I now really hope that every last detail of this horror gets exposed -- every plan, every player in the mess, every stooge.

But I also believe the aftermath of that will be no smaller than the Civil War, once all this is known, or even some of the major pieces of it. I say, bring it on since, just like with the Civil war, we will not have a country worth living in, if this truth stays hidden. If it stays hidden we will resemble the Third Reich in most fundamentals. At present we already do, IMO. But we can get back on track, if this gets exposed, again IMO.
