There are those among us who believe the human spirit is damaged goods. They seek to "replace" it with something they consider superior: science and technology. You see, there is something untamable about humanity, and the "elite" do not like that. Staying easily in power requires ruling over a domesticated population, which is inherently contrary to our nature.
Intellectuals who paint humans as the problem are blind in their own wisdom. By cheerleading the destruction of their own kind, they ask to be robbed of the very things worth living for: the little things--perhaps that many of us neglect to appreciate as we should.
Wickedness and destruction are not the calling of man. Our spirit has the power to overcome all enemies, both domestic and foreign. We possess many flaws, but they will never outweigh the gifts we possess as the stewards of our kind and our world. Because of that, in the endgame, humanity overcomes.

"Man Overboard!": Obama turns away from a drowning friend
By Mike Whitney
30/04/08 "ICH" - -- Obama is "outraged".
After weeks of blistering attacks by the media, Barak Obama held a press conference yesterday and made it official; his friendship with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright is over, terminated, kaput. He would no longer associate with a man who believed that the United States of America could do horrible things to its people or that 9-11 might have been the result of US foreign policy. As Obama said, that's just "outrageous".

NEW YORK: Aviation companies sued by the families of Sept. 11 victims for failing to safeguard air travel are in turn blaming federal investigators — arguing the Federal Aviation Administration was not alerted that al-Qaida was poised to launch terrorist attacks.
In court documents filed this week in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, aviation companies are seeking to force five FBI employees to provide testimony that may help defend against claims the companies share blame in the attacks.
"The aviation parties anticipate that the FBI witnesses' testimony will demonstrate that the FBI had information before Sept. 11 indicating that al-Qaida may have been about to launch terrorist attacks on civil aviation, which it did not timely pass along to the Federal Aviation Administration," lawyers wrote.
History Commons Projects, Update on April 30, 2008
The main additions this week were in the project dealing with 9/11 and the two timelines about Iraq.
The main focus in the 9/11 Timeline this week was al-Qaeda in Spain and the group of informers and surveillance targets that carried out the 2004 Madrid train bombings. Dedicated chapters have been set up to cover both the bombings and al-Qaeda’s Spanish network in general, and yet more will be added about this next week. Other objects of interest include al-Qaeda leader and MI5 informer Abu Qatada, the 9/11 Commission’s very cursory interest in NSA material, and media coverage after the attacks.
The Prisoner Abuse Timeline has published additional material about cabinet-level approval of harsh treatment and mind-altering drugs.
The Occupation of Iraq Timeline looks at how the media has covered the war and how this has altered the public’s perceptions.
The Invasion of Iraq Timeline also looks at the media, this time during the build-up to war.
A variety of current and former high-level officials have recently warned that the Bush administration is attempting to instill a dictatorship in America, and will itself carry out a fake terrorist attack in order to obtain one.
