Tarpley: Since we have the 5th anniversary I’d like to make a few comments of my own about the state of the movement in the US.
We’ve got a round table here going of the leading experts in Central Europe.
You might think to yourself it might not be possible to assemble the leading experts in the United States around the same table because of the unfortunate atmosphere that has broken out in our movement….
I wanted to propose from my point of view the following formula for how we can cooperate, because I think this is obviously what we need to do. Don’t be scandalized by the word cooperation.
We have to recognize that on the one side there is a sphere of theoretical discussion. In this any serious scientific hypothesis, historical, philosophical hypothesis can be discussed, should not be banned, should not be censored.

A day after having Webster Tarpley and Barbara Honegger on the air to discuss 9-11 truth for an hour, host Johnny Wendell had Tarpley back on the air to hone in on the current threatening situation. The 1st segment was focused on the economic indicators that something is coming down the pike. After taking some calls from the audience, including some from local 9-11 truthers, Wendell had Tarpley on for one more segment to focus in on the case of building 7.

Overall, the two day truthathon sponsored by Mr. Wendell was a great gift to 9-11 truth movement in introducing some facts and ideas to a large progressive audience in Southern California. Additionally, both Honegger, on Sunday, and Tarpley, on Monday, directed listeners to go to the LA group's 9-11-07 Commemoration and Convergence Event. Everyone involved did great work to help make it happen.

The Kennebunkport Reality Check:
The Danger of World War III is the Much Neglected Heart of the Matter

Most of the comments concerning the Kennebunkport Warning have avoided the main issue. The central point has nothing to do with any signatures or absence thereof. The key issue is whether the world strategic picture given by the Kennebunkport Warning is accurate or not. If the statement is true, as we firmly assert that it is, then the other issues can be seen in proper perspective, meaning that they are dwarfed by the threat of a world catastrophe.

The intensity of emotions on all sides of the Kennebunkport Warning rings of authenticity to me, leading me to believe that this is not a disinfo plot but a serious encounter among people of good intention during very dire times. This is why we must treat this situation and all involved with a fierce respect in order to gain a chance for deep dialogue and bridge-building. That being said, I think we are now crossing an uneasy, but crucial bridge between the 9-11 truth movement and the anti-war movement, none too early I might say. For years and years, these two movements have been, at best, distant cousins who reluctantly see each other a few times a year and make fun of each other in between, and, at worst, suspicious neighbors thinking each other to be agents of dischord.

Meanwhile, Cindy Sheehan has been an incredibly courageous leader as the most aggressive and visible member of the peace movement. And Webster Tarpley has been a powerful spokesperson, not only for a devastating take on 9-11 truth, but also for strategies towards justice and peace.

Yesterday, Sunday September 2nd, 2007, the disciplined effort of an LA Truther paid off in getting Webster Tarpley and Barbara Honegger an hour of air time on KTLK-AM1150, the local affiliate of Air America. Through engaging host Johnny Wendell in a serious 9-11 Truth dialogue over a course of many hours on the internet, she was able to get Wendell to invite Tarpley and Honegger, on very short notice, onto a show from 3-4pm he was guest-hosting for Joe McDonnell. With good interviewing from Wendell, both Tarpley and Honegger were able to give enough historical context, clear evidence from the "day of," and logical theories about what exactly might have happened, to spark Wendell's interest enough to commit to another hour or so of discussion centered around calls from the audience for this coming afternoon. Tarpley got more time and utilized it well by shredding the Zelikow Myth and giving a sense of how these type of operations actually work and where to look to for suspects.

Tarpley offers some evidence that led to the formulation of the Kennebunkport Warning, and will be dedicating his Thursday, August 30 GCN program, broadcast from 7-9pm Central on Network 4, to discussing "the evidence for the coming Bush-Cheney aggression against Iran, to be predicated on a new 9/11 and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin provocation."

Several readers of the Kennebunkport Warning have requested documentation on the evidence referred to in that document. I am enclosing my July 21, 2007 summary entitled "Cheney Determined to Strike in US with WMD this Summer," plus a portfolio of selected news stories covering July and August of 2007. (both items attached below) I have also included an early description of the Cheney doctrine by Philip Giraldi from August, 2005. This evidence could be supplemented, but it is already conclusive.

It would be foolhardy in the extreme for serious antiwar activists to ignore the grave danger of an upcoming attack on Iran, predicated on a new 9/11 and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin. I send this out in the hopes that it will promote a a vigorous open debate on these matters as we approach the sixth anniversary of 9/11.

A well-known Democratic member of the House of Representatives has repeatedly told individual supporters that the top leadership of the Democratic Party has explicitly approved an attack on Iran. Mrs. Clinton is openly offering herself as the politician best qualified to take over in the wake of such an event. It is therefore the task of genuine antiwar activists, together with institutional forces within the government and the military, plus certain international factions, to ward off this looming catastrophe.

A few days ago, a group of lawyers from western Massachusetts met with the local congressman, Democrat John Olver. Their request was that Olver take part in the urgent effort to impeach Bush and Cheney. Olver responded by saying that he had no intention of doing anything to support impeachment. He went further, offering the information that the United States would soon attack Iran, and that these hostilities would be followed by the imposition of a martial law regime here.

According to reports in the British press, the Cheney war party has gained the upper hand in the secret councils of the Bush White House, pushing aside the purported hesitations of Miss Rice, Secretary Gates, and the NATO allies to chart a direct course towards war with Iran:

‘The balance in the internal White House debate over Iran has shifted back in favour of military action before President George Bush leaves office in 18 months, the Guardian has learned. The shift follows an internal review involving the White House, the Pentagon and the state department over the last month. Although the Bush administration is in deep trouble over Iraq, it remains focused on Iran. A well-placed source in Washington said: "Bush is not going to leave office with Iran still in limbo." …at a meeting of the White House, Pentagon and state department last month, Mr Cheney expressed frustration at the lack of progress and Mr Bush sided with him. "The balance has tilted. 9/11 Truth Squads Bring Reality of Inside Job to Primary Campaigns - A "Macaca" Moment for Giuliani in the Bronx

Republican front-runner Rudolph Giuliani, Democrat Barak Obama, GOP candidate Sam Brownback, 2004 Democratic nominee John Kerry, George Bush the elder, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former NSC Director Zbigniew Brzezinski, Senator Chris Dodd, Wall Street heavy David Rockefeller, Arab-hater Alan Dershowitz, Democratic contender John Edwards, Democratic Congressman and House fundraising boss Chris Van Hollen, neocon chickenhawk William Kristol – what these ruling class figures all have in common is that over the past three months they have been confronted in public by 9/11 truth activists challenging them on the premise of their entire world outlook: the 9/11 Big Lie, as codified in the bankrupt 9/11 commission report. These interventions have generated a new wave of 9/11 inside job publicity on cable television – especially on Hannity and Colmes of Fox News Channel -- on talk radio of all stripes, on the internet. Since January, the 9/11 truth squads have become the leading edge and main thrust of the 9/11 truth movement, and the principal means of keeping the 9/11 resistance in the public eye.

Giuliani was confronted in the Bronx on May 31 by Sabrina Rivera, a truth activist whose boyfriend’s father was a fireman who died on 9/11. She asked Giuliani why he and his staff had received a special warning that the twin towers of the World Trade Center were going to collapse, when the people in the buildings never got that warning. Giuliani’s response contradicted everything he has ever said about 9/11 – he denied that he had ever received a warning that the twin towers were going to come down. We never though the towers would implode, stammered Giuliani. But that is not what Giulaini had told Peter Jennings of ABC news on the afternoon of 9/11. At that time the Mayor said: “I went down to the scene and we set up headquarters at 75 Barclay Street, which was right there, with the police commissioner, the fire commissioner, the head of emergency management, and we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center was going to collapse. And it did collapse before we could actually get out of the building, so we were trapped in the building for ten, 15 minutes, and finally found an exit and got out, walked north, and took a lot of people with us.” [ABC News, 9/11/2001]
