What can we do to prevent people from being tortured for asking good questions? More generally, how can we respond effectively to abuses of power, in an era when the authorities and the media they own are ignoring most forms of peaceful protest?
After spending many hours of conversation with Father Frank Morales of St. Mark's Church during my recent trip to New York, I think I have an answer.
Frank Morales (who now stands beside David Ray Griffin and Rev. Rich Lang in my pantheon of Christian heroes) has been struggling against military and police abuses of power almost since I was in diapers. In my interview with him on 9/8/07 (archived free at: http://www.republicbroadcasting.org/get_archive.php?hn=Barrett&yr=07) and in private conversations that kept us up till the wee hours, Frank brilliantly analyzed the trends toward martial law and police state tactics. He pointed out that protesting OUTSIDE THE HOMES of those who abuse their power has often been the most effective way to apply pressure on malfeasant police and other authorities. In New York, the mere threat of doing this has gotten immediate results.
Cities of the Underworld: New York -- The World Trade Center "bathtub"
The History Channel (THC) series "Cities of the Underworld" episode "New York" (2007) has a segment on the World Trade Center and the need for and creation of the "bathtub". (the final segment)
It shows some historical video and talks about what happened when the towers collapsed into the bathtub.
It might have some valuable information in there. I didn't catch anything offhand, but it should be viewed more than once and scanned for info by multiple people to ensure nothing is missed.
I don't see where it can be viewed online. I also don't see it playing again. You can order the DVD, but it's pricey.

9/11 Humor
We don't have enough 9/11 Humor.
This cartoon is mildly funny from a local weekly newspaper, "The Chico Beat", Vol. 2, #29, Sep. 14, 2007.
Even if it is somewhat making fun of "us". (although, this shows that 9/11 Truth and Justice is slowly but surely infiltrating the American culture and psyche)

A small victory
The last couple of days I've been getting hundreds of hits on my blog crazyrichguy.worpress.com.
When I checked the referrers I found that someone had put a comment with my blog link under an article on Greg Palast's website. It was linked to "What you ought not to know". And today I found that CNN of all news moguls had put a link to my Blog. It's really quite simple and, to my mind, self-evident: the "official" story of what happened on September 11, 2001, is not a complete or accurate account. (We should of course speak of official stories, because there have been several shifting, contradictory scenarios offered by the great and the good in the six years since the attack. However, for clarity's sake, we'll stick with the singular for now, and will assume -- as the entire media and political establishment does -- that the report by the Hamilton-Kean 9/11 Commission is the final "official" version.)
Loose Change: Final Cut
What the heck is going on with Loose Change: Final Cut. I Googled it and hardly found anything. We are about to go to war with Iran and all the other hell that seems to be occurring including economic problems forecasted, and I thought this movie was supposed to hit theaters this September? Doesn't seem anyone is talking about it.
If there is any information I'm not aware of I'd like to know, otherwise we need to push Dylan Avery and Mark Cuban to let us know what is up.
I hope there isn't any skullduggery going on. I'm sure the NWO is working like hell to keep this from coming to the public. I'd just like an update on it.
And let's not forget:
"Phil Donahue was anti-war during the build up. He had the highest ratings on MSNBC until they cancelled his show 2 weeks before the war."
I'm sick for information on this movie. I was so looking forward to it being in cities around America. We need a break.
I even heard David Ray Griffin was involved in the process of making the movie and was supposed to oversee its premier in some foreign country.

Can det cord and blasting caps self-destruct?
Anybody know about blasting caps or detonators that self-destruct?
The triumphant statement by a " demolition expert" on the History Channel that he saw no detonation cord, wiring or remnants of blasting caps at Ground Zero has given courage to OCT supporters.
This has come up in a long-running debate I'm running on an industry forum. The latest rejoinder I got was this
"you have not produced one blasting cap, nor one piece of wiring"
What I could find on the Web on the subject was all about detection of
A. detonators before they explode, or
B. explosives by means of chemical taggants after the blast
but nothing about detecting remnants of detonators post-blast (except that "stealth explosives" has been used as a term of ridicule for the controlled demolition argument.)
Re A, I found this: "Plastic weapons, plastic detonators, explosives enclosed into plastic cases and plastic mines are very difficult to detect."
I am beginning to suspect that the problem of detectability might actually be the other way around.

1999: FBI Headquarters Delays Check on Terrorist Trainer for 9 Months, Tries to Block Warning for National Guard
FBI Minneapolis agent Harry Samit learns that an unnamed man plans to travel from the US to Afghanistan to train militants there, and that one of his relatives has applied to join the Minnesota National Guard. Samit wants to run a check on him and notify the National Guard, as he is worried because guardsmen have access to local airports. However, he is blocked for several months by Michael Maltbie, an agent in the Radical Fundamentalist Unit at FBI headquarters, who becomes “extremely agitated” and says this is “just the sort of thing that would get the FBI into trouble.” [Star-Tribune (Minneapolis), 3/21/2006; Knight Ridder, 3/21/2006; Hearst Newspapers, 3/21/2006] Samit and Maltbie will later have another running disagreement over the Zacarias Moussaoui case (see August 15-September 10, 2001, August 20-September 11, 2001, August 27, 2001, and August 28, 2001).
