The economy will never recover if the US continues to fund the most inflationary spending there is--war spending. We will never eliminate terrorism if we continue to make more enemies through an escalation of the Afghanistan/Pakistan conflict.
CONGRESS!! The US taxpayer needs you to oppose the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and we need more than rhetoric. We need you to stop voting to fund these wars.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation describes the situation as follows:
There's a new bill working its way through Congress that is cause for some alarm: the Cybersecurity Act of 2009, introduced by Senators Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME). The bill as it exists now risks giving the federal government unprecedented power over the Internet without necessarily improving security in the ways that matter most. It should be opposed or radically amended.
Essentially, the Act would federalize critical infrastructure security. Since many of our critical infrastructure systems (banks, telecommunications, energy) are in the hands of the private sector, the bill would create a major shift of power away from users and companies to the federal government. This is a potentially dangerous approach that favors the dramatic over the sober response.
(As of 5:17pm Central Time --11.30.2008-- "Change.org" has removed the request for a new 9/11 investigation from their website. -rep.)
Initial blog post published: 2008-11-28 17:46:16
In this week's International edition of Newsweek (Dec 1, 2008), there's an article entitled "President 2.0". In reading it, I discovered that a new site (http://www.change.org/ideas) is collecting and posting ideas for the Obama administration and the top 10 ideas, the ideas that have received the most votes, will be presented to the President on Inauguration Day.
An idea was just added to suggest that a new investigation into 9/11 be conducted.
Please click the link below and VOTE for this idea. Then forward the link to everyone you know and ask that they vote for it too. It this is for real, it is an excellent opportunity to get out collective voice heard. Loud and Clear. Finally.
Thanks in advance.

NIST Report on WTC 7 indicates "fire" alone collapsed the skyscraper building in a mere 6.5 seconds.
Do you agree with the government's conclusion that Mr. Bruce Ivins was solely responsible for the anthrax attacks of mid-September 2001?

Oprah, her show, and her book club...POWER in the MSM, let's make it ours! copy/paste the following and email to the link below:
Oprah, I would like to see you add The Shell Game to your reading list.
VERY important book. Also please invite the author Steve Alten on and add
a panel of experts. That would be a GREAT and timely show!
EMAIL IT HERE:
*for Obama fans you may want to mention Alten loves Obama, also do not put this in the email, but Alten said he would bring Griffin on the show with him if he gets on.
(It is more effective to call your Senators, but it helps to send this email as well. I've done both).
Stop the Police State Bill
If you believe that America is a democracy and should not be turned into a police state like Burma, Pakistan, and China, then join with us to STOP The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007, S. 1959.
This flawed and dangerous bill , introduced by Rep. Jane Harman, could be the final triumph of fear over reason as the Federal government makes thought a crime under the guise of preemptive National Security, if we allow the Senate to pass it.
Please email your Senators now, and tell them to vote NO on the The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. We encourage you to edit the title and text using your own words.
This is what I sent via PDA:
Libelous presentations by the Simon Wiesenthal Center at the House hearings have made the intent of this law clear.
Here is an idea that was sent in to the blogger. Think its something we should pursue and promote? Leave your thoughts in the comments below:
If you have any influence, if you can make an appeal to your supporters, I suggest that this may be the right opportunity to raise a cry.... for testing of these human remains for evidence of explosives residue. This should be rather easy to do, and to identify what type, and who would have had it. The military, probably.
Please, ask that your readers write emails to congressmen, senators, and to ask their friends to do the same; and to write requests to NPR and to PBS. There is every reason in the world to do the tests and no reason at all not to.
Good for election effort as well.
