To Whom it May Concern.

I am writing to report an incident of the most inappropriate treatment I have ever received in my 14 years as a rider on the MBTA. I am an activist and as such I often carry a sign with me, about 18 by 24 inches mounted on a dowel, all told it is about the size of a guitar in its case. At the first stop after I boarded the bus the driver got up from his seat and stormed to the back where I was sitting and loudly commanded me to get off the bus with no explanation as to why (though presumably he was taking issue with the subject of my sign which is a call for the truth about 9/11 to be investigated.)

I had been doing nothing but sitting quietly with my sign in the 60 seconds or so that preceded. Knowing that I had done nothing that could justify this command I politely told the driver that I was not going to get off the bus, upon which he said he would call the police and would not be moving until I got off the bus. My fellow passengers could not have known what was going on and I was made to feel that I was somehow a criminal and was causing them to be delayed for not obeying this command to get off the bus. The bus remained standing at the stop for about 7 minutes until a uniformed MBTA official appeared, exchanged words with the driver (which a fellow passenger told me amounted to the driver being told that I was not bothering anyone) after which we proceeded on our route.

This is kind of a big deal--here's a clipping of the letters section of today's Boston Metro - the free daily that everyone seems to read on the morning commute.  Look at the second letter from "Jose Ramirez".  Is this some kind of stealth, or what!  Of course we'd prefer a huge headline but this just confirms the rumors I've heard that people are being prepared for a very slow but definite releasing of truth.  Onward truthers!!  -RT

A recent poll shows a great divide between Americans suspicious of the Israel lobby and the neocons and those who don't believe they unduly influence American foreign policy. While they are certainly not the only factor in things that happen, it is irresponsible to turn a blind eye to the issue, especially if that is done solely to avoid spurious charges of anti-semitism. Manipulating people's emotions with such false charges is a reprehensible act in a democracy and one that has brought us to an extremely unfortunate state of national ignorance and polarization. If these divisions are not healed by honest debate, everyone loses. I firmly believe that the neocons are the link between the corrupt factions in both America and Israel that conspired to pull off the 9/11 hoax. -RT

THE JUDICIAL HIJACKING OF THE 9-11 VICTIM LAWSUITS

While the media plays up the significance of the government show trial of the seemingly deranged "20th hijacker" Zacharias Moussaoui, not one 9-11 victim's lawsuit has been allowed to be heard in a trial by jury. Why have the 9-11 victims' families not been given the same right to have their cases heard in an open trial by a jury of their peers?

Ellen Mariani, who lost her husband Neil on United Air Lines (UAL) Flight 175, filed the first 9-11 wrongful death lawsuit against UAL on December 20, 2001. Interviewed on national television in May 2002 by Bill O'Reilly of FOX News, O'Reilly repeatedly questioned Mariani about why she had chosen to pursue litigation instead of accepting the government fund.

"I want justice," Mariani said. "I want accountability. Who is responsible? I want the truth."

The paper linked to above talks about the collapse of tower two in terms of an avalanche and concludes that the total collapse observed at near free-fall speed would not have been possible absent a "wave of mass destruction" that the author does not speculate on. Of course, one can infer that the wave of mass destruction was the result of timed explosions and/or pre-planted incendiaries like thermite.  I'm just throwing this out as a curiosity--the site it is on is an online "journal" that has been the subject of a few disagreements in the editorial/opinion pages of Harvard's student newspaper.  In fact, one junior physics prof at Harvard links to it on his blogger.com site (http://motls.blogspot.com/2006/09/preprint-on-falling-twin-towers.html) in an attempt to "debunk" it.  He claims at the outset of his debunking that the "high temperatures melted the metallic structure".  Hee hee, the best and brightest indeed.  Anyway back to this paper--I think it's funny that it doesn't come out and say EXPLOSIVES could cause a "wave of massive destruction".  I also think it's funny he uses the abbreviation WMD.  Is this a good thing or a bad thing--I don't know but I thought I'd throw it out for comments from the crew here!

Apparently, though, it is OK to dodge difficult questions that pertain directly to one's moral accountability. Does Derek Bok really think I wanted him to review every document associated with every faculty member? Or is he disingenuously feigning ignorance, or honestly cultivating it with regard to the events of 9/11? Does the erudite and accomplished president of Harvard really believe buildings can collapse the way three did on 9/11 without the use of explosives? Is he honestly satisfied with the official account despite its many obvious flaws? I am comfortable to let history decide, but I rather wish people would practice what they preach, especially those in as prominent a position as the president of Harvard.

While the day will come for a thorough study of the nature of the 9/11 conspiracy and cover-up, some major points can be mentioned at this point for which there can be made a strong case. While I will discuss Harvard specifically, this analysis applies to any organization, especially those close to or themselves encompassing centers of power.

Harvard University is an interesting case study because aside from being a highly regarded institution of higher learning, and teaching--sort of. Harvard also claims as its motto Veritas, or Truth. So is Harvard in the business of truth?

It would help to look at Harvard's other businesses first--the Harvard corporation controls an endowment that is essentially an equity fund that invests the proceeds of tuition, government grants ($400,000,000 per year), donations from alumni, and interest on its existing $29 billion dollars. The money is invested by the Harvard Management Corporation and earns returns consistently above market averages, around 20% a year on average. Investments are not"chosen based on any criteria except profit, so one can imagine where Harvard's wealth is generated. Recent divestment campaigns have focused on the company PetroChina, for one, and the divestment calls are not based on lack of same-sex benefits, let's say.

Gree-TANGS, fellow truthers!  Really great night of truthing yesterday.  The square was as usual packed for a Friday night of geeks n' elites getting drunk and trying to score, while tourists took in the scenery, including RT.  Some highlights included a very nice military dude, won't say what he does in case he could be identified--said he was interested in the issue, had read a bunch of articles, and had no problem with what we were doing.  Did not strike me as a truther himself but definitely open to hearing our case and not at all dismissive.  Next, a Chomsky wannabe telling me I should be holding up a sign about Katrina and worrying about the 600,000 dead Iraqis, not harping on this issue that may or may not be real.  Uh huh.  Loved when I told him he sounded like Chomsky.  Carribean lady, middle-aged, came up to me as I quizzed a guy about molten steel, building 7, and reports of explosions.  After asking me if I was one of those "small change" people and failing my quiz, he walked off for fear of further spanking.  Caribbean lady observed and once guy left asked me for a pin.  Öf course it's a conspiracy!  We're not stupid, Bush and the rest are scum!" or something like that more or less.  Lots more than just those, but they were the interesting ones.  Others stopped to chat in full agreement, some just gave the thumbs up or walked by saying keep up the good work.  Hearing that a lot lately.  The kid who forced a copy of the Methaddicts book on me stopped by with a handwritten note for me with a website (skeptic.com I think) asking me to email him if I could find a mistake on it.  Asked me if I had "his" book.  Sorry kid, not done scanning the lies--gimme a month or three.  Finally, a pair of Mormon missionaries who in an interesting twist, I approached and attempted to convert.  They had not heard of Steven Jones, so I showed them his paper and told them what a righteous Latter Day Saint he was.  They dug that, and said it seemed I was doing something similar to what they were.  Indeed, said RT.  Good luck Elders, and thanks for the book.  That's the long and short of it.  We're kicking ass and the shills are out in force with their usual talking points.  They look worried.  I frikkin love it.  Just for kicks I photoed my truth swag below...  Latest button: 9/11 I CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH.  Most popular: 9/11 TRUTH NOW.  Let's get out there and kick some ass for the truth!

I'd like to start by recognizing the obviously big news that South Park, in whatever way, has chosen to give exposure to the truth movement. It is a fascinating development no matter how big or small their audience, no matter which truth site they advertised, no matter their treatment, fair or unfair of the subject. It is a blip on the radar and that is all that matters. These blips are currently being picked up by more and more people in more and more walks of life. One of those walks of life with which I am most acquainted is the walk of students and other members of the Harvard community through their daily routine. Last night I pulled of a hat-trick--three DVDs handed out to three passing students--the tendency for people to follow an example is evident in this and other cases--when people see others doing something, they are curious, and want to add to their knowledge of the world around them by participating in whatever it is, or at least taking an interest as an informed spectator. The more people look like them and talk like them, the more likely they are to be receptive to the new thing they see the people doing. Right now, one thing a lot of people around Harvard are doing is becoming familiar with the issue of 9/11. More and more people are posting links to message boards, sharing DVDs, emailing their friends, talking in the dining halls, and personally waking up to an unfamiliar but gripping reality. We need not make matrix references at this point--what is happening is not a movie and drawing the parallel is an exercise in redundancy. We live in a manufactured reality, and until now the creation of meaning and truth has been confined to the few while the many have trusted--very important that word--that they were getting the whole story. Sadly they have been deceived. Fortunately they are realizing it at a breathtaking pace.

Here's the Methaddicts' lie about the molten steel.  This pretty much amounts to their claim: the steel melted because the rubble piles were insulated from the atmosphere and so the temperatures kept rising up to the point at which the steel melted.  Yep.  They claim they heard this from three experts, yet the paragraph is cleverly embedded so that one may not notice that the three allegedly making this claim are not in fact the three experts mentioned in the subsequent paragraphs, who are named and make much more reasonable and less relevant claims themselves.  I would eat Davin Coburn's hat if the three named experts were to claim they were responsible for the absurd "pressure cooker" theory of the molten steel in the rubble piles, or if PM actually would deign to name the sources who really did make these absurd claims which are patently false.  I may not have the time, so I encourage others to run with this straight at PM and their cult-like following, including John McCain.

Dear President Bok,

I appreciate your reply. I must however take issue with the notion that I would expect Harvard to wish to or be able to review every report and/or document with which Harvard professors are associated. I would expect that it could and would moreover review one in particular that shocks the conscience as profoundly as the 9/11 Commission Report. It is also a fact that Professor May is teaching a course on the subject and in the process more than likely conveying false information to Harvard students (unless of course he is in the process of disavowing the report which is not born out by the course description.)

I urge you to reconsider your position as this issue is currently gaining widespread interest among the Harvard community and you will find that the facts are not on the side of the Commission, its report, or current conventional "wisdom". If indeed you have considered the facts and in your judgement they do not merit further scrutiny of Professor May's teaching that is your prerogative. If, however, you have not studied the issue closely I respectfully recommend that you do and take appropriate measures, lest Harvard continue to serve as the vehicle for a criminal falsification of history that is currently unraveling and will soon be exposed. It will certainly not be arguable down the line that Harvard was misled or was not aware of the problems with the status quo if its leadership decides to dismiss without further study this most urgent of matters.

Came across this article in the Israeli paper Ha'aretz about how unlucky poor Larry was with the whole 9/11 thing, and how bravely he weathered the tragedy... here's an excerpt:

To advance his project, Silverstein needs the support of politicians. He has paid three visits to Washington since September 11. As the largest private donor to Hillary Clinton, he has an open door to the office of the junior senator from New York. Other senators who received hefty donations from Silverstein have said that they are in favor of the project at Ground Zero.

Oh, Hillary, say it ain't so!

Last night RT was again in Harvard Square when a young man, no more than 18, asked if he had seen the website Loosechangeguide.com. RT made it clear to this guy that he was aware Loose Change wasn't a perfect account of what happened on 9/11, but that other documentaries like 9/11 Mysteries were available that made the case for controlled demolition. Had I read the Popular Mechanics book Debunking 9/11 Myths he asked. RT couldn't help but laugh, and asked the young man if he could explain the molten steel found in the rubble piles and seen dripping out of the South Tower. Well, the steel didn't have to melt for the towers to collapse, he assured me. Not the point I clarified--it was there. Well, I know that that was explained by experts. Really? By whom, I asked. Well, I can't remember. Well, what was their explanation? I don't remember. But it made sense when I read it. OK, I said, get back to me when you can explain it. OK he said. Minutes later, he returned. He brought a copy of the Popular Mechanics hack job and flipped throught he pages to the part where the molten steel was explained. Basically, according to PM, three (unnamed) "experts" claim that the fires in the rubble pile, because they were covered in rubble and not subject to loss of heat through the air (and presumably not having air didn't keep them from burning) the pile became hotter and hotter, which melted the steel. Yes, that was it. Three unnamed experts and a completely absurd claim. Wow. I want you to have this book the kid said. I want to give it to you and I want you to read it. OK, I said, thank you. I want YOU to watch this DVD. Please. OK. Thank you. The truth marches, or in some cases crawls, on.

Wow, thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on my last blog post. I'm writing now to report back from today's 9/11 Truth work in Harvard Square. Today the square was packed for the annual Oktoberfest street fair so literally thousands of ppeople walked by my display. Now, you all know how it is by now--people stop and read. I had my usual posterboard full of info and free buttons (RT recently acquired a real button making machine and has been cranking out various truthy buttons!) I know I always say this but I feel I have to because I know how important morale is for our movement--we are winning over people in droves. I also frequently point out the diversity of the folks who stop to learn about the issue--you can add middle-aged republican women to the list. In addition to holding up my (now two-sided) sign on a pole I also played the last three talks(the second CD) of the 5th anniversary speeches including Donna Marsh and William Rodriguez. These are important voices and people are just now hearing them through the mass media noise machine. They are learning the truth. They are not becoming quivering masses of jelly as a result, they are responding with serious concern and yes, gratitude for the work we truthers have been doing on our own dimes.
