I, too, need to know what Sibel Edmonds knows.

Is anybody from the ranks of the frequent 911bloggers able to create a well-written (and sourced) essay that explains "gag orders" and "whistleblowers" and how they influence the search for 9/11 truth?

While writing, please bear in mind that overseas readers are not at all familiar with both terms (and that above Wikipedia links do not necessarily serve to enlighten newcomers about their relevance to the 9/11 truth struggle).

Please explain about whistleblowers and gag orders in a comprehensive way. Simplify as much as necessary, but not more.

So what exactly are gag orders? Who can order a gag? Under which circumstances? For how long? With which consequences in case of breach? Is there a possiblity to overcome such a gag order at all?

What are "whistleblowers"? How many of them are known in relation to 9/11 truth? What are their names? Are they all gag ordered?

I believe if you are able to write such a piece in a way that makes a few stupid Europeans such as myself understand these 2 terms, you'll have a piece that will also enlighten quite a number of U.S. citizens.

Did you see this? It is a month old already, but it may have slipped everyone's attention:

Sibel Edmonds and William Weaver enumerate 13 whistleblowers by name who have attempted to testify their knowledge before the now infamous "Ommission Commission". Their details are mindboggling. None of their people were called into hearings by the Commission's own initiative; all of them had to insist being heard and interviewed. Most failed to get a hearing -- and those who did, have seen their testimonies omitted in the final report.. This is truely smashing evidence for a cover up job being well executed by the commission.

The 9/11 Commission: A Play on Nothing in Three Acts

A wag once famously said that Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot was a play where nothing happened… twice. The two former co-chairmen of the 9/11 commission report, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, have released a new book, Without Precedent: The Inside Story of the 9/11 Commission. This book goes Beckett one better – it is the third act of veneer over substance, self-aggrandizement over serious analysis, and cliché over perspicacity. It is another calculated attempt by the former commissioners to place themselves in the media spotlight, and to overcome the humiliation of their widely criticized and mostly debunked report. It is a vapid and substanceless attempt to claim moral high ground and present the cochairmen as heroes of honesty. It would be a farce, except that it has no story line, save the aggrandizement of the authors. At least they are consistent in doing nothing and proclaiming that to be a sign of their devotion to the country and the government. Beckett once said that "habit is the ballast that chains the dog to its vomit," and by this measure the chain restraining Kean and Hamilton is a short one indeed.

My letter was in no way intended to be my “Whistle blowing” statement.
- First let me start with telling everyone, that this letter, was a rant to the chief editor of the Cincinnati Post, Mr. Robert White. I sent it to him, after reading an article posted there called “1 in 3 believes in 911 conspiracy”. To which they proceed to debunk us good American people who know for a fact something about 911 does not add up. Mr. White never responded to my email. Again, it was a rant that included both fact from my time in the Army, facts I have learned from my extensive research on this topic, and my opinions. I’ve been asked to sign an affidavit, and I will, once I review it with my attorney.

How did I know Cheney was in charge of NORAD, prior to it becoming public?
- Easy, in the Army and whole of the DoD there is a thing called chain of command. Every solider is supposed to be aware of who his superiors are. When Cheney was announced to be taking over NORAD, the CoC was updated and passed out to all of us. This, I’m sure, was prior to the public release of this information. There were many military friends of mine, at the time, that questioned this action.

Interview with former Sgt. Lauro Chavez

As an Auxiliary Member of Veterans for 9/11 Truth www.V911T.org I came upon a post on the V911T Yahoo group with regard to veteran Sgt Lauro Chavez. Soon after, a copy of a letter reportedly written by Lauro Chavez was posted on the group’s website: http://www.v911t.org/SergeantLauroChavez.php .

Before continuing, it might be helpful to read the details contained in that letter (link above). Below is the transcript of an interview with a man who identified himself as Lauro Chavez. Chavez claims he was in the bunker of the US Air Force Central Command, Mac Dill AFB, Florida, on the morning of September 11, 2001. Lauro Chavez also claims to have served personally under General Tommy Franks.

Intrigued by this veteran’s remarks regarding 9/11, I interviewed Lauro Chavez by phone on September 24. After the interview I attempted to confirm his identity by calling the Public Affairs office of Mac Dill AFB. I was told that although I had the right to know whether or not a certain employee had worked at that base, the computer was unable to bring up former employees’ information. The Mac Dill Public Affairs representative conveyed that although she had worked there during September, 2001, she could not recall hearing of anyone by the name of Lauro Chavez. I asked if this was possible given the number of individuals who serve at the base and she agreed.

I can state only that the following is a telephone conversation that took place between myself and a gentleman claiming to be Lauro Chavez. I must admit that at first I was overwhelmed with joy that our local paper was actually starting to have real journalism and talk about real issues. Then I read the story and it was a total debunk to make the actual people around the world who feel there was something not right about 9-11, to look like over reacting conspiracy theorists.

Honestly I could care less what is done with this letter, but I feel that I should speak my mind and Ill tell you some things that I have not told many people at all. From 1995 till 2002 I was a Sergeant in the United States Army. Not only this, but I was stationed at United States Central Command, which is located at MacDill AFB in Tampa Florida. I was on active duty when 9-11 happened. In the days prior to the tragedies, we were involved in many exercises. Some of these exercises included the scenarios of hijacked planes crashing into, our building[,] the world trade center, the White House, Sears Tower, and the Pentagon. These drills or exercises as we called them, where classified Top Secret. Having a Top Secret rated clearance I was dumbfounded that they would ever push a training exercise above the level of Secret. Over my 8 years in the Army, I had participated in many exercises around the world, none of which were ever classified over the Secret level.

Ill start by saying a few months prior it was announced by President Bush that Dick Cheney would be heading up operations over NORAD our North American Aerospace Defense Command. Along with many of my peers, we were shocked. Over the years, if you research NORAD, it has always been under the command of a Military officer. It was done this way because the defense of this country has always been in the hands of such. Prior to the months before 9-11 this was all of the sudden changed. Like I said, if you research NORAD and the command structure you will find that it was imposed long ago that the military should be in control of the order to scramble planes in the defense of American air space. For some strange reason, Bush changed this and gave that power to a civilian person on his Staff team yes I know, very interesting.

So, I was standing in the SCIF (Secure Compartmented Information Facility), which is basically this underground bunker command post for USCENTCOM, when the first plane hit. We were watching the fly patterns of all the planes on the aerospace grid. This contained not only all commercial flights at the time, but all military flights, and fake enemy planes that were supposedly put on there for the exercise. Many of the planes sent to intercept the fake blips were scrambled from Andrews which is an air defense AFB for the East Coast. They were sent across the US and left very few planes to defend the capital. After the first plane hit the tower we were all in disbelief. After the initial shock was over, our questions were what are the odds this could happen for real, during a training exercise thats covering the same scenario? We were all at wits end. Then to top all of this off, Cheney gave NORAD the order to stand down scrambling jets to intercept. A few moments later tower 2 was hit. Only after the Pentagon was hit, did he give the orders to scramble the jets to intercept the plane bound for the White House.

To delve even further, as Im standing there watching the towers collapse, next to me is one of my good friends and a former commander of the Army Corps of Engineers. He is a demolitions expert. He was even more surprised than me. When the towers collapsed he kept saying this isnt right, this isnt right. When I asked him what he was talking about he told me that steel buildings dont fall down that way. Even if they are struck by objects; he went on to say that in theory if the top 10 floors were hit, then possibly just that part of the building would fall over and off, but the rest would remain standing. When I asked him, not understanding the implications of demolitions, he told me that it looked as if they were brought down by controlled demolitions. I was utterly amazed, but after he said that it did sort of appear that way.

You may have read reprehensor's hint to Thomas-Scott Gordon's affadavit on the demolition of the WTC. Thomas-Scott Gordon mentions (in not too friendly a context) one certain Kurt Sonnenfeld, who he suspected to be following him arround (accompanied by one Jim Chestnut) on behalf of the FBI.

That name rang a bell. Because some more Info about that same Sonnenfeld I found here:

According to the story, Sonnenfeld now is in Argentina (read link to find out the bizarre details). In an interview with Argentine daily newspaper El Pais on September 10th 2006 he is supposed to have said (about his work as a photographer for FEMA on Ground Zero, during the "remove the rubble" cleanup operation)::

"I was the only person, with camera in hand, with total and absolute access to any area of Ground Zero and the WTC. Any other cameras that were within that area would have been confiscated and the the (sic!) person carrying them arrested. [....] What I saw at certain moments and in certain places...is very frightening, I don't know who (sic!) to put it in words, what I saw leads me to the terrible conclusion that there was foreknowledge of what was going to happen."

I first heard of Thomas-Scott Gordon while listening to Jim Fetzer's RBN radio show, Non-Random Thoughts. He has released an affadavit chronicling his experience interfacing with what he believes to be some sort of covert team tasked to do the initial groundwork for the eventual take down of the WTC.

Calling on the ACLU

In a recent article a very prominent 9/11 Toxic Dust Whistleblower had his home raided by a SWAT team. According to Major Mike McCormack, his home was ransacked for 3 hours, without a warrant, at gunpoint.

Additionally, McCormack claims "Numerous firemen were telling me that they heard numerous secondary explosions all over the building - these guys are seasoned firefighting professionals - a lot of them have military backgrounds and they're not stupid."

"Everybody on the planet knew that not only was the World Trade Center hit - it was totally wiped out," said McCormack.

I am calling on members of the 9/11 Truth community to contact the NYC branch of the American Civil Liberties Union to establish a hotline for firemen and first responders to call, with all the legal protections that the ACLU can afford them, to allow these brave men and women to step forward and tell their stories, without threat of reprisal.

Alexandria, VA--- “Kill the Messenger,” a documentary produced by Zadig Productions, directed by French filmmakers Mathieu Verboud and Jean Robert Viallet, is scheduled to air on Canal + in France on September 19, 2006. The film will also be aired in Belgium, on BeTV, and Australia, on SBS, this fall. The documentary explores the abuses behind the State Secrets Privilege as invoked in FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds’ case as well as highlighting the travails and persecution of US national security whistleblowers.

Project Censored is "a media research group out of Sonoma State University" in California. It just published its annual "Top 25 Censored Stories".
