This story is just breaking on MSNBC and CNN - so there are no details yet - but it will be interesting to see exactly who this American is and what he was planning.

He will, of course, be portrayed as another John Walker or Jose Padilla - but - we should look carefully to see if there are any telltales signs that he has any 'connections.'

For example - Nick Berg - the American beheaded in Iraq - it was confirmed shared an email account with Zacarias Moussaoui. The FBI contends to this day that this was simply a bizarre coincidence and Berg had given the password to Moussaoui in a bus terminal where they had met and struck up a friendship.

Sure.

Bizarre coincidences like this deserve to be treated with a certain level of incredulity from the public, and if this "American" arrested in Egypt has even the appearance of being "connected" to any "bizarre coincidence" we need to be prepared to confront it.

What would you have told Italian dissidents in the 70s and 80s if they’d dared to claim that Italian intelligence was supporting the neofascist terrorist bombings from 1969-1980 starting with Piazza Fontana bombing?

Is the prospect of a US government willing to kill its own citizens with bombs somehow more disempowering than a government willing to kill the species by failing to address Global Warming?

How do you account for the evidence of foreknowledge in light of the stated objectives of the PNAC?

Finally, could you explain the difference between your conviction that the US was in no way complicit in the attacks and your typical 9/11 conspiracy theorists conviction that the US made every aspect of the event happen on purpose?

The US was complicit in 9/11 in the sense that it created the mujahedin in Afghanistan in the 1980s, is an imperialist power with bases all over the Middle East, author via sanctions of the deaths of at least half a million Iraqi children, essential supporter of Israel and of every corrupt Arab state. So, a lot of people have felt the whip-lash of the United States, directly or indirectly, and some of them decided to strike back.

Gladio has been accused of trying to influence policies through the means of "false flag" operations: a 2000 Italian Parliamentary Commission report from the Olive Tree left-wing coalition concluded that the strategy of tension used by Gladio had been supported by the United States to "stop the PCI, and to a certain degree also the PSI (Italian Socialist Party), from reaching executive power in the country".

Propaganda Due (aka P2), a freemason organization, whose existence was discovered in 1981, was closely linked to Gladio. According to a November 18, 1990 article by The Observer, quoted by Statewatch, "Declassified secret service papers reveal that Ted Shackleton, deputy chief of the CIA station in Rome in the 1970s introduced the Licio Gelli – head of the neofascist P2 Masonic lodge and for years a fugitive in Argentina – to General Alexander Haig, then Nixon's chief of staff, and later, from 1974 to 1979, NATO Supreme Commander. P2 was a right-wing shadow government, ready to take over Italy, that included four Cabinet Ministers, all three intelligence chiefs, 48 members of parliament, 160 military officers, bankers, industrialists, top diplomats and the Army Chief of Staff. After meetings between Gelli, Italian military officers and CIA men in the embassy, Gladio was given renewed blessing – and more money – by Haig and the head of the National Security Council, Henry Kissinger. Just how those and later funds were spent is a key point in the Casson investigations."[4]

Crashing the Party

For all their quibbling, the Democrats and Republicans have much in common- their support of the “War on Terrorism,” “the PATRIOT Act, “Homeland Security,” American military/corporate dominance of the planet. Both parties have gone along with the Bush policies that have severely attacked our Constitution, shredded the Bill of Rights, instigated wars, institutionalized torture, suspended habeas corpus, granted Bush royal powers to label, detain, kill anyone he deems a threat, and even use the US military against the American people.

While polls show a growing number of Americans aren’t buying the lies, favor ending the wars, and favor impeachment, the media isn’t revealing that there is any genuine opposition party to the unending “War on Terrorism.”

However a Copernican revolution in consciousness, has been growing for a long time now, and was catalyzed by that pivotal day in American history- September 11th, 2001. That searing, defining moment is being “redefined” by the diverse, growing 9/11 Truth Movement, including candidates who are championing impeachment, a genuine investigation of 9/11, and peace. The pro-war, pro-corporate press has more or less ignored or attacked them, but they are crashing the parties, and communicating directly to the public via creative, emerging technologies, and directly- in the streets.

So, is the GOP scaring us......or warning us?

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Republican Party will begin airing a hard-hitting ad this weekend that warns of more cataclysmic terror attacks against the U.S. homeland.

The ad portrays Osama bin Laden and quotes his threats against America dating to February 1998. "These are the stakes," the ad concludes. "Vote November 7."

Brian Jones, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee, said the ad would run on national cable beginning Sunday, but he declined to discuss specifics of the buy. [...]

The ad displays an array of quotes from bin Laden and his top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahiri, that include bin Laden's Dec. 26, 2001 vow that "what is yet to come will be even greater."

The ad is also featured on the RNC's Web site. The party said the ad, called "The Stakes," will be e-mailed to millions of GOP supporters, activists and the state parties.

If there is another terrorist attack between now and November 7th, who stands to benefit?

Saddam? He's in jail, and it wouldn't do him a lick of good.

Iran? No way. Given that Cheney has already instructed the Pentagon to draw up plans to nuke Iran if there is another attack on the U.S., carrying out such an attack would be suicidal.

Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda? Why would they wait 5 years after 9/11 to attack right before the U.S. elections (especially since this is the first election since 9/11 that the Republicans are in real danger of losing)?

Everyone knows that fear is good for those currently in power. Does Al-Qaeda want the Republicans to keep the House and Senate? That makes no sense.

And given that another large attack against the United States - if planned by Bin Laden - would likely cause the U.S. to stop tiptoeing around Pakistan and instead cause us to send in massive numbers of troops to track him down, wouldn't this be suicidal for him as well?

Or does it make more sense that the Republicans in power themselves would benefit the most from such an attack. Because, if there was another attack on the U.S. right before elections, it would scare the voting public into rallying around those in power.

Some time ago you will remember the "Call to Action" by Alex Jones regarding the next false flag attack possibly on American soil. A lot of us rose to the occasion and compiled media emails for USA & Canada and fired them off.

I personally fired emails to all of Canada media and most of the USA, asking the media to stand up and report on the false flags and also the inconsistencies in the official story in general. Yesterday I received an email from THE CANADIAN NATIONAL NEWSPAPER stating that they ran a story on 911. Take a look.

Pledge of Allegiance

Here are excerpts from an essay on the new torture legislation and how it affects people who claim that the government has engaged in conspiracies (such as 9/11):

"I have learned the entire history of the U.S., both good and bad. I have learned of her honorable and selfless actions. I have also learned about her brutally deceitful and murderous actions, including the frequent use by our government of false flag terror.

But even after learning of all of the deceit and murder committed by our government, I still have strong positive feelings for the United States. My forefathers fought and died for liberty. My ancestors struggled to deliver a nation ruled by laws and justice, instead of by the whims of men. My people gave their blood, sweat and tears to throw off the yoke of the British monarchy and to defeat the ambitions of Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito in World War II.

And so – even after the Iraq war, and the destruction of New Orleans, and the spying and torture scandals, and the vote fraud, and 9/11 and all of the other false flag attacks carried out by by the government over the years - I am willing to pledge my allegiance to the United States of America. Because - as sick and twisted and amoral as she may have become in recent years - I still hold out hope that we may again decide to get back to the great work at hand, the “grand experiment” of self-government and democracy.
