Selling Futures reviews the many aspects and consequences of the complete takeover of US society by consolidated corporations and their attempt to globalize and militarize the entire world under the cover of “privatizing” resources and fighting a “war on terror”. Of course, as always, 9/11 Truth is an integral part of Vic's songs and videos. Eric Golub is featured on ukulele. The song was recorded by sound engineer/owner at Robot Envy Studio in Berkeley, CA.

Occupy Wall Street: Michael Moore states, 'We oppose the way our economy is structured'

In a wide-ranging interview with Keith, filmmaker Michael Moore talks about his participation in the Occupy Wall Street protests, the goals of the movement and how it's evolving.
It's not going to be a regular news day when the MSM begins to give in but what sort of event will precipitate better coverage? We know MSM is nearly devoid of journalists in the true investigative tradition. They obviously aren't champions of any journalistic standard but have you all noticed in the coverage of Cairo, even the most simple minded and superficial "feel good" shows such as The Today Show had a recent segment of Ann Curry with two other unknown females talking about America's failed involvement in dubious political alignments and support for known dictators? And the moon is on a collision coarse with earth, now let's go to Al with the weather! Who are these people? queue scene from The Truman Show : Truman's wife struggles with product placement during a nervous breakdown.
Charles Ferguson’s new film, "Inside Job," a documentary about the financial crisis, is now in theaters nationwide. Ferguson holds a B.A. in mathematics from U.C. Berkeley, a Ph.D. In political science from MIT, and is the author of four books on various policy issues. "Inside Job" is his second film; his first, "No End in Sight," analyzed the occupation of Iraq and was nominated for an Academy Award in 2008.
"When I first decided to make a documentary about the financial crisis, in late 2008, my biggest question was how to handle Barack Obama. Alas, the answer rapidly became all too clear, as my film "Inside Job" shows in painful detail.
When Barack Obama was elected, he had an unprecedented opportunity to shape American history by bringing the country's new financial oligarchy under control. Elected on a platform of change and renewal by a nation in crisis and with strong majorities in both houses of Congress, his election celebrated throughout the world, Obama could have done great things. Instead, he gave us more of the same. America will be paying for his decision for a very long time".

Arrest Over Software Illuminates Wall St. Secret
By ALEX BERENSON
Flying home to New Jersey from Chicago after the first two days at his new job, Sergey Aleynikov was prepared for the usual inconveniences: a bumpy ride, a late arrival.
He was not expecting Special Agent Michael G. McSwain of the F.B.I.
At 9:20 p.m. on July 3, Mr. McSwain arrested Mr. Aleynikov, 39, at Newark Liberty Airport, accusing him of stealing software code from Goldman Sachs, his old employer. At a bail hearing three days later, a federal prosecutor asked that Mr. Aleynikov be held without bond because the code could be used to “unfairly manipulate” stock prices.
This case is still in its earliest stages, and some lawyers question whether Mr. Aleynikov should be prosecuted criminally, or whether a civil suit may be more appropriate. But the charges, along with civil cases in Chicago and New York involving other Wall Street firms, offer a glimpse into the turbulent world of ultrafast computerized stock trading.
Eliot Spitzer is a Conspiracy Theorist, of the financial sort. From salon.com:
It all appears, once again, to be the same insiders protecting themselves against sharing the pain and risk of their own bad adventure. The payments to AIG's counterparties are justified with an appeal to the sanctity of contract. If AIG's contracts turned out to be shaky, the theory goes, then the whole edifice of the financial system would collapse.
Will Wall Street's Meltdown Turn America Into a Police State?
By Scott Thill
"Raw capitalism is dead." -- Henry Paulson, U.S. Treasury secretary
"Can't we just all go out and say things are OK?" -- President Bush, to congressional leaders during bailout negotiations
30/09/08 "AlterNet" - -- I'm not much of an Army Times reader, but after reading that a brigade was shipping from Iraq in October to serve as "an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks" in the homeland right before the election, my antennae perked up. Same as they did when I read that an electoral college doomsday scenario exists in which Dick Cheney casts the deciding vote that gives McCain-Palin the White House.
