In early March, more shocking details emerged about George W. Bush legal counsel John Yoo's memos outlining the destruction of the republic.

The memos lay the legal groundwork for the president to send the military to wage war against U.S. citizens; take them from their homes to Navy brigs without trial and keep them forever; close down the First Amendment; and invade whatever country he chooses without regard to any treaty or objection by Congress.

It was as if Milton's Satan had a law degree and was establishing within the borders of the United States the architecture of hell.

A set of nine secret memos released by the US Justice Department Monday reveal that in the weeks and months after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks the US government began erecting the legal scaffolding for a full-blown military dictatorship.

Attorney General Eric Holder declared that the release of the documents, which were posted on the Justice Department's web site, signaled a new era of "transparency and openness." The actions of the Obama administration in recent weeks, however, including the invocation of national security and state secrets to quell lawsuits challenging the worst abuses of the Bush era, make it clear that the threat revealed in these memos is far from over.

The administrators at Change.org have deleted the idea for a new investigation into 9/11.

They declared that a new investigation into the attacks – which gave the Bush Administration the power to spy on it's own citizens, to torture, to launch two preventative wars based on lies and more generally to trample all over the Constitution – was "outside the scope" of the site's stated mission and therefore didn't meet their criteria for "specific policy solutions". It doesn't matter how many people want to know the Truth about 9/11, they refuse to have the idea promoted and discussed on their site.

Because of this censorship, the Change.org site has shown that it isn't a "social platform" but, rather, just another gatekeeper of 9/11 Truth.

When the idea was pulled, it was by far the most popular, comfortably occupying the top spot, totaling at least 660 votes (twice the amount of the next best rated idea) only 48 hours after being submitted. On a side note, the other proposed ideas had a 3 week head start, and the 9/11 Truth idea was only just warming up.

Why (pretend to) ask the citizens for ideas then simply delete the most popular? It seems like all of this is more of a joke than a wishful expression for democracy…

Well, Congressman Sherman said that congress was threatened with martial law this week. Specifically, he says that Congress was told martial law would be imposed if they didn't pass the Paulson bailout proposal.

Martial law means that the separation of powers which the Founding Fathers enshrined in the Constitution are destroyed, and an all-powerful executive branch calls the shots.

Geraldo Rivera called us (9/11 Truth activists) anarchists when we marched peacefully but loudly up to his live broadcast outside Radio City Hall during last year's 9/11 events in NYC. I believe Alex Jones was arrested because of bullhorning without a permit . . . Then a cameraman (shown in Elephant in the Room) was arrested for filming the arrest.

Unlawful arrests, bogus charges, holding people without being charged for the duration of an event (and unable to contact lawyers), then being released, still without charges being pressed - we should be happy?

This St.Paul story sounds like what happened at the RNC convention in NYC in 2004, and in other cities then and since - more stories that never made the 5:00 o'clock news.

ABC News' David Wright reports: Answering a question at the Urban League about his approach to combating crime, John McCain suggested that military strategies currently employed by US troops in Iraq could be applied to high crime neighborhoods here in the US.

McCain at first praised the crime-fighting efforts of Rudolph Giuliani when he was mayor of New York City. Then he down-shifted into an approach that sounded considerably harsher.

McCain called them tactics "somewhat like we use in the military."

"You go into neighborhoods, you clamp down, you provide a secure environment for the people that live there, and you make sure that the known criminals are kept under control," he said. "And you provide them with a stable environment and then they cooperate with law enforcement."

The way he described it, his approach sounded an awful lot like the surge.

A masters student researching terrorist tactics who was arrested and detained for six days after his university informed police about al-Qaida-related material he downloaded has spoken of the "psychological torture" he endured in custody.

Despite his Nottingham University supervisors insisting the materials were directly relevant to his research, Rizwaan Sabir, 22, was held for nearly a week under the Terrorism Act, accused of downloading the materials for illegal use. The student had obtained a copy of the al-Qaida training manual from a US government website for his research into terrorist tactics.

The case highlights what lecturers are claiming is a direct assault on academic freedom led by the government which, in its attempt to establish a "prevent agenda" against terrorist activity, is putting pressure on academics to become police informers.

Bush Warns of Another 9/11

The perverse and perilous paradox of this presidency is that the more Bush and Cheney fail, the more they succeed.

Bush parlayed his criminal failure to protect and come to the rescue of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast due to Hurricane Katrina into getting Congress to pass in September 2007 the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007.

The Warner Act abrogates the Posse Comitatus Act (the Civil War law that prohibits the use of federal troops in domestic affairs) and gives the President the power to declare, on his own say so, a "public" emergency" and carry out "mass" roundups, arrests and detentions.

All Bush and Cheney need do, in other words, to nullify their record level of unpopularity is allow - or merely fail to prevent - another 9/11 attack (the attack that Bush warns of in the article below.)

The spelling errors notwithstanding, I think these thoughts are relevant for 911 Bloggers . . . Many (most) of us have had these thoughts, as "crazy" as they may sound to the general population unaware of 9/11 Truth, they're logical . . . So, it seems maybe we should have a basic (communication/alert) plan should an obvious false flag op occur and the Internet mysteriously goes down or acts weird, as it did the last three days in the Philadelphia area . . . Maybe there should be a phone (or text) chain-type system set up across the country to immediately activate and alert whatever actions we have pre-planned . . . just a Sunday afternoon thought . . .

Maybe a plan (by us) is already in the works, and I am unaware . . .

HR 1585 which is the 2008 Defense Authorization Bill is an evil piece of legislation that actually gives authorization to the U.S. military to plan a future merger with the police that will be used during a catastrophic emergency. This bill authorizes the Department of Defense to design a plan for a martial law apparatus. There is no question that the U.S. government is seeking to ratchet up the militarized police state as they anticipate massive resistance to the coming collapse of our economy and war with Iran. This bill is yet another step in the direction for the implementation of a militarized police state in this country.

Section 1615 of the bill describes the determination of department of defense civil support requirements. Subsection (a) states the following regarding the determination of requirements.

Sorry if I'm posting old news. I stumbled onto this on the internet and wondered how many others know about it. It seems like a pretty big smoking gun to me.

On Friday, September 7, Jeb Bush signed Florida Executive Order No. 01-261 which states, in part:

"I hereby delegate to The Adjutant General of the State of Florida all necessary authority, within approved budgetary appropriations or grants, to order members of the Florida National Guard into active service, as defined by Section 250.27, Florida Statutes, for the purpose of training to support law-enforcement personnel and emergency-management personnel in the event of civil disturbances or natural disasters and to provide training support to law-enforcement personnel and community-based organizations relating to counter drug operations. This Executive Order shall remain in full force and effect until the earlier of its revocation or June 30, 2003."

Noble Resolve seems to fall into the category of a Functional Exercise, and Top Off seems more of a Full-scale Exercise.

I was at the front of the protest group right at the police line on Monday August 20, 2007 and saw the pushing and shoving of protesters from the police who in turn pushed back. The police provoked the violence and shoving by pushing the protesters back about 10 to 15 feet from the original police line, this is when the protesters started to escalate their activity and pepper spray was used on few who were resisting the police line and I thought I saw one person get tasered or shot at by another device from the police. Rocks were thrown at the police who were in riot gear and from what I saw one officer was injured in the exchange. For about an hour or two after that the protesters were very peaceful, banging on homemade drums made out of empty 5 gallon buckets and chanting anti SPP slogans. A van with loud speakers on the roof then proceeded down the road and stopped 20-25 feet away from the front line. People bobbed their heads and danced to the music pumping out of the loud speakers, then people started to talk on the mic, this got the protesters pumped up but still peaceful.

The military is simulating a terrorist nuclear attack in Portland this week. Oregon corporate media won't report on it, the city of Portland hasn't been invited to participate, and friends of mine are leaving town. (the story has now changed - to volcano, and now, earthquake)
